Would love an update every 3 months or so on the pond and the garden which your dad has done an awesome job on. Totally different scale but I have a 500L cichlid tank in my house and sit by it for hours at night, its my happy place in a mad house with 2 little girls haha.

Having a hobby like this means a lot and have finally let myself have get fully into it has been amazing. Brings much needed calm and a lot of joy as it sounds like you get with your fish keeping - a 500L Cichlid tank sounds unbelievably awesome! For sure, would've loved to have filmed a bit more of the pond this year but things got a bit busy! will definitely have something out next Spring, and will try to do an autumn update next year also.

From the viewers perspective, also, don't you find aquariums with reefs or vegetation much more interesting to watch than the empty tanks in restaurants or fish stores? Do a quick Google search before posting untrue opinions.

If plants are problematic, how about some clear tunnels...like a small obstacles course to give these intelligent creatures something to do? Maybe some big rocks too. Later, add a waterfall feature. • As a labourer seeing you treat them with such respect made me happy. On top of that helping out with what you can was just amazing. People rarely think to do these things, you're amazing! PS you're very correct, the snacks probably cut at least 2 hours off your quote😂 Most contractors don't take breaks on site unless the client wants us too!

  • I can't believe I watched the whole thing!!! I was really enjoyable seeing this process, and your love for the fish came through so clearly I didn't even think of changing the video! Absolutely LOVED this! I DO have a question though!! What happened to Charlie's eggs? Did you dispose of them, and if so why? Would really love to know your process!

  • I love that you can see them from your office window, I keep my reptiles in my line of sight too, to observe, make sure they’re doing well and when they want to come out of their enclosures and free roam, explore. How the heck do you grow tropical plants outside in the UK? We’ve got 40 degree summers but the winters would kill anything, I have to pull them all inside

  • Dude!! I'm so happy and super proud for you and this absolutely stunning build! You've come a hell of a long way since your original channel all that time ago. Absolutely loved watching this build and your perseverance with the project from start to finish. I can't wait to see the next level you go to with your channel. Probably THE most relaxing and best time I've spent on KZhead very recently. Congrats and kudos to you. Tight Lines my friend....Namaste.

    • @@fishwithcarl I've been a subscriber to your great channel ever since you and Alex went your separate ways from your dual channel. Even then I was a long time subscriber to both of yours original channel. I absolutely love the serenity of your (and Alex's) channel and the great content you put out there. Your efforts are greatly appreciated as you're a serenity zero point in my current maelstrom life. Keep doing what you do and being what your are and I'll always support all your efforts and content. Hopefully we can meet on the water one day. Tight Lines brutha.

Somehow I missed this video at the time, great to have a compendium 🙂 I'm never happier than when I'm relaxing by my pond, my dear old friends looking at me, asking quietly if I've got any food ! Single colour fish are gorgeous and you rightly say they tend to be the most friendly, they're like friendly labradors ❤

That is so funny because you gave me a very similar feeling from the get go which kept me watching.
