Just watched it for the first time in 2021. Bruh, why is there still no season 2? I literally walked to work today like Delaney with his soundtrack on my earbuds.
Filming was delayed due to the pandemic (and because Hardy has a busy schedule.)

I loved this show, I don’t know why they didn’t make more seasons, instead we get crap like the Marvels series. Whoever is in charge of making these decisions should be fired. Great series this was!
Tom's schedule. They were about to start shooting and everything shut down because of the "pandemic." He had just finished filming the Venom sequel. He says he wants to continue, and the scripts for the episodes are done. FX is ready to get the ball rolling. Filming will likely be this year if we don't have any more disasters.

Yeah period dramas are nightmare production-wise. It was never cancelled, though, and Tom is definitely still invested.

Stephen Knight was busy with Peaky Blinders and Tom Hardy makes a lot of Hollywood films, throw in covid and there was delay after delay after delay. According to one of the producers work on season 2 has begun, so we may finally get it.
