i've never seen a video over a year old with only 4 dislikes. that's actually incredible
Burned Waffles also 20k+ views
I have to agree from 2 weeks into the future.
Dude hes only gained 3 more dislikes... THATS CRAZY
@@extra9008 no more since then
Chad Franklin And no more since then.
The production value of these vids. Gah damn man. Keep it up!
appreciate all the time you put into your tests and video editing
Loved this one! You went through everything with detail without making the video extremely long. And btw the setup flex at the end is a super great idea.
LMAO When you do a whole video and forget to quote a price - GSP 500 is $170. Time stamps: GSX 1000 Talk - 3:12 Straight to the Headphones - 5:23 **I should also add that I REALLY recommend an amp for the GSP 500....it doesn't really perform well without one**
BadSeed Tech sweet been waiting for this beauty
Shi and I just bought a new mic
BadSeed Tech I bought the 58x based on z reviews opinion. and have used them for 500 plus hours. I honestly believe for gaming that the AKG K7xx is the best set of headphones you can buy in the 200 dollar price range. The sound stage and imaging is amazing on them and imo much more comfortable than the 58x or any other pair of headphones I’ve worn.
How is the bass on the K7XX? They are definitely on my radar.
@@badseedtech I would love to know this also... debating between K7XX, GSP 500, and 58X myself, all through GSX 1000 - and Bass can be pretty important for strictly gaming, which is my use case. Hopefully you get your hands on a set for review soon! Your vids are dope man, keep up the great work!
Been wanting a video about these two head to head and am a bit late finding it. And you posted in on my birthday! haha. Should have known you'd be the one to do it. My favorite tech youtuber for a reason. Great content. Thanks Brian P!
Thanks again for the shout on the setup flex! I’ve shared with a bunch of friends - they love it!
Awesome review very informative. Man, I wish you give it the ATH-ADG1X a try, those cans are like the AD900X with a great mic.
First loved it I litterally have been wondering what I should get! Thanks for the help Ya I think the headphones look better!!
Your description of the two with the Straigh A student and the bro who says everything is sick - is exactly what I needed, 58X ordered :D Also subbed :D
Hey man, I think you may want to look at the Syba Sonic, I found mine on amazon hit I've seen them on ebay as well. It's not the absolute best dac/amp ever but it's only around $40 and a good value. It is more powerful than the Senn. Dac/amp (though not pretty at all) and sounds better than any onboard sound I've ever heard. It doesn't sound quite as good but has the mic input that most lack (even though you dont get the features of the sennheiser amp). It does have a treble, direct and bass boost switcher on the front. Either boost is actually pretty nicely implemented at the price. For example if you select treble it bumps it up a bit (not murder levels) but retains the level of mids and bass. The bass boost works the same way. It's very simple to use and requires no drivers even though its usb only. For those who also have speakers this thing is also a preamp and has pre-outs on the back. Great videos man, love the down to earth attitude. Keep 'em coming! Cheers buddy!
Dude, I livid that I have not been subscribed, I love you videos man. Thank you
Good stuff Badseed! Love your reviews!
I've actually owned each of these setups. For me, ultimately went for versatility with the 58X, Mod Mic wireless, and Mayflower Arc. All 3 setups are great though, and definitely agree they're in their own tier
I just ordered the 58x and ModMic wireless. I already have the FiiO E10K for years, but I'm not sure if I should finally upgrade that DAC to something better. Somewhat in the 100-200$ range.
A modmic wireless and a arc? That's like $200 tossed in the garbage, could have gotten a way better headphone amp if you went with a wireless modmic seeing as the 3.5mm mic input on the arc would be unused
This review is amazing. I was looking for a comparison for these exact headphones and amp, and here you are. I purchased the GSX 1000 and the GSP 600's, but I have a huge head, and even after 3 days the clamping on these headphones is starting to make them unwearable. I was looking at the HD6XX's, but don't want to waste money on something I can't drive fully. So the HD58X and a modmic are getting ordered.
I just never get tired of the graphics you use dude. Nice job ! I also like the straight forward and simple delivery of product info too. I never think the info is all over the map. You always seem to deliver it like a neatly wrapped Christmas present. I have the GSP500's, the GSX1000, as well as the ARC dac amp. I absolutely love all 3 of em. As far as the GSP500's sgo, after having had them now for over a year, there are 2 problems I find with them. 1. Not enough padding on the headband. I actually experience some irritating pressure on the top of my head where the band makes the most contact with my head. At first when I wear it, it's not an issue. But at about 30 minutes, I can feel the pressure right on the top. It's not pain, just a very annoyingly uncomfortable pressure. I wish there was a way I could add more padding to the headband. Like I said, I really love the sound of these cans, and you know what ?. . . I ACTUALLY like the look of the GSP's. But Brian, I with ya on the "would not wear the GSP's anywhere else but my game room. 2. If you wear glasses, like I do, you're gonna have a hard time with these. Because these cans sit tight around my ears, and really press against the arms of my glasses. As a result, I've even developed a bad headache from the constant pressure of the ear seals on my glasses. And not only do they create an almost unbearable clamping force on your glassframes as they are pressed against your head, but they literally leave a deep indent on your scalp where the frame extends from the ear and on back. I was watching a headphone review a while back but I can't remember the brand the guy was reviewing. Anyway, they actually designed the ear padding in a way as to allow for this padding to encompass the arm of the frame to minimize pressure there. The do it by molding the padding itself. When you look at the cushion, you'll see like an indent there. I have doubt in my mind this is not a gimmick and that it would really work. The absolute toughest part here is the fact I really do love the GSP's and the sound they deliver. But I just cannot ignore these 2 irritating issues. There is an upside though. And that is I can always start my gaming session with the GSP's, then when that discomfort sets in, I can always swap em out with one of my other pairs. I can change em out in under a minute. Brain, stellar effort bruh, I salute >S< you sir :)
Mike Auger I had them to and I changed to a beyerdynamic dt990 pro. Feels so much better. And works a little bit better in FPS. With gsp I heard to much and to far away. It was really good on god of war but not in FPS. I still miss them sometimes because of that perfect sound. I’ll could just stand near a waterfall and move the camera around and the stereo would work as surround. But maaan the pain on my head. I was also worried for my hair to fall of. And the sounded kind of strange on some songs. Oh well
Thanks for the budget stuff at the end! I made the huge mistake of getting the logitech g633 instead of getting a seinheissers one.
Those intro shots made me drool! Hope all is well man! Aaaand stay up!
Btw, this has become one of my favorite youtube channels as of late. Keep it up, man!

Man this is good stuff it should have around 1m Views Congrats bro.
cool vid as always I always bin curious pc headphones instead of a headset since almost everyone says headphones sound better but I still love my GSP 500

Awesome video man!
Thanks for helping me finally snag a decent pair of headphones, listening to this video again on my brand new HD 58X's
Insane quality on your videos
Wow, this is actually quite a detailed and good review for both audiophile point of view and gaming.👍🏻👍🏻 instantly subscribed
thank you man! 👊
Damn you are good at this!
Awesome videos, I booked a HD58x + modmic 5. And this just Made me sure with my choosing. I have a GSP 500 too, but the claim too much sometimes and give me headache.
It might be worth doing a comparison between the Arc and a O2 Odac combo unit. Obviously the arc would win on features but it would be interesting which offers the best audio for the money.
Brian you amaze me, I swear like yesterday I was thinking "I wonder how Jubilees compare to Sennheiser's gaming headsets, wish BadSeed Tech made a video about this" :D Spot on! Maybe one day I will try these out :)
Glad it hit the mark for you dude!
Nice! I was wondering what the differences between these headsets were. I have the Game One and the GSX1000, and I'm totally happy.
Thats a beast setup- ran it for over a year.
Have using the GSP 500 for a year now, with a tube amp, its just amazing! would love to have the GSX1000, but using voicemeterbanana with a good eq setup and dolby atmos settings on windows...its really makes a huge difference! Thanks Brian for some awesome reviews on the Sennheiser.
You don't. The GSX has garbage amp for it's price and no software to actually set EQ, only 4 garbage preset. Buy the Creative G6 instead, thank me later. I returned that garbage GSX and got a G6, couldn't be more happier. Where the GSX better is only with that chatmix (which i didn't even use), the G6 blows up the GSX in sound quality and max volume level.
Hey brother, just discovered your channel. I’m late to the party, but I picked up the 58x and the SoundBlasterx G6 based on your feedback and recommendations. I LOVE your straight up style of review, real talk terminology, and glorious beard game. Keep it up!
Appreciate you bro! 👊
Been using Audio-Technica WS1100iS’s with a v moda boom pro and love em. Even more than the GSP 500’s and Game Ones I use to have.
Hell yeah brother getting after it!
Excelente video!! Do you recommend the gsp 500 to play in xbox1x?
Video quality is on point
great video!
Not sure this is something you can help me with! I recently purchased a pair of Sennheiser GSP 500s based off one of your video I commented on and I absolutely love them! I was unsure of the upgrade from my steelseries but they are a grade above that's for sure. My question is, I'm running my 500s through my Astro mixamp (2013 edition) on my PS4 pro and I'm unable to use my mic. it's not picked up at all! I switched to my steelseries and the mic works fine. Astro support said I would need a 4 pole to 5 pole, 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable and that would alleviate the problem. Question is, where can I find such a cable? Do they even exist for my Sennheisers? Again, idk if this is something you can help me with, but I figured why not man! Keep up the awesome content!
Another great review! I ended up with the pc37x
Do you like them? Whats your previous headsets, you know for comparison
Notification squad! Beard is on fleek
Retiring my GSX1000 and GSP600's for the Schiit stack and the HD58x for games and the Hifiman Sundara's for music. The 58x should be here next week, cant wait! Starting to wish I got the wireless modmic instead of the USB one now I'm gonna be using two sets of headphones.
Your video’s ar amazing
Awesome video as usual! What eq setting do you suggest for the gsx 1000?
Yeah I been debating if I should save for a pair of 58x’s
No one does headphone reviews better than you man, nice work 👏🏼
Thank you man!
Z reviews. But badseed is pretty tight though
I have a blue yeti and my 58x's are on their way so im excited
I have the the HD58X jubilee and I love them so much as soon as they drop again i'm buying another pair should anything happen to the ones i'm using now for any reason!
4:24 GSX1000... GSX 1200 PRO... when you want the 24bit 96KHz quality, it turns all these fancy filters off. HUGE RED FLAG! Sennheiser dropped the ball hard on the gaming DAC. Thanks BadSeed Tech for pointing this out.
I first found your channel from your other 58x video and I’m glad I did because you make great videos. Anyways I have a really random question. I want to plug in my 58x that I’ve ordered to my tv. Should I buy a male to female to plug into my tv and the headphone cord, or should I buy a female to female and use my audio technica cord to plug into my tv? I just don’t want to lose any sound quality.
Great Vid. 👍
Thanks man! 👊
I play primarily fps on console (xb). I love the Senn. 58x reviews, but I'm unsure about which amp setup to buy. What can you recommend? Has to have optical input, correct? I have enjoyed the 7.1 virtual surround in fps, and loss of a mixamp like that on my Astro setup might sound odd to me at first, but Dolby Atmos can be engaged if I want to hear the difference. The modnic 4 or 5 will work, and plug into my controller for chat via chat splitter, Ive gathered. I'll also be using the 58x on my hifi system which should power them fine without an external amp.
Lol I was wondering if you will reveiw the Ninja Fx mouse pad? Good vid
Man, you know I got you on that one!
Thankx
can you review the audient evo 4? It seems to be comparable and allows monitoring in that it allows you to use a sidetone.
Please do another one with Epos H6Pro Open/closed with other headphones.
I have the gsp 600 very accurate headset for pinpoint the enemies position but it has too much bass for me. I also have an open back akg 702 great soundstage but bad imaging. Which headphone was the most accurate that you guys heard to? I just use it for gaming
I've had the gsp 500 for 6 months now, these things kill my head no matter how much i adjust them I can't get it to feel comfy, I wish they kept the same headband as the gamer zero/one's also I get distortion at higher volume levels where I don't have on my game zeros at much higher volume, I've just ordered the HD 58x Jubilee's though and can't wait to eargasm headache free.
Any chance on taking a look at the SoundBlasterX G6?
That's what I use with xbox one its amazing I also got it to work with voice game chat
Definitely recommend looking at Beyerdynamic headphones like the DT 770, 880, and 990 for games. Specially the 770 and 990 if ya like V-shape and the 880 if ya like bright.
I'm really trying to get a plug over at Beyerdynamic. I absolutely love the 770 but have ever tried 990. I *do* like V...don't like bright so much.
I do currently have Astro a10 headset but it's just not quite my favorite I might buy the gsp 500
@ BadSeed Tech I Bought the GSP 1000 and The GPS 500. I'm Looking for an upgrade for gaming. I would Like to Keep the GSP 1000 Dac as it does so well in FPS. What Head phones would you recommend. Have money to spend. would probably Put the head Phones with a Mod Mic 5
Hey Brian! Recently found your channel and I'm loving all the knowledge and straight forward info you put on here. Question, I'm currently using the steelseries arctis 3 on my Xbox one but after doing some reading on headsets, I'm really thinking of pulling the trigger on the gsp 500s. Would I notice a significant difference between the 2? I'm mostly playing battle royale style games like blackout and apex legends were pinpointing position is key. Thanks man and keep up the awesome content!
First off, thank you! And secondly, yes - I feel like you'd notice a major difference between those two. The level of detail and clarity on the GSP far outweighs the Arctis 3...I own both.
@@badseedtech Thanks so much man! Greatly appreciate the response, now time to go buy them😎
@@badseedtech Hey man! Just got the GSP 500s a few days ago and I love them! Such a difference in the game. Thanks again brother.
That's awesome man! Glad you like them!
i just ordered myself a pair of sennheiser pc37x. i feel like that’s the best of both worlds since it’s a headset that looks simple and doesnt scream *GAMING*
Really can't go wrong. That (lack of) color scheme was a really solid choice. 👊
In your opinion, which has the wider soundstage between GSP 500 and Gameone?
So I used to have the gsx1000/Schiit Heresy stack. Then I managed to snag a Arc mark 1 and they make my gsp500’s shine. My 58x’s sound like trash through it though. It’s low and muddy and I don’t get it. I’m running stock cables for both? Do I need to pick up a new set of cables for The 58x?
Can you use these headsets on a GO XLR ? Or do you need a specific amp like you recommended.
SUB! really good content mate
Been absolutely loving all your headphone reviews. I’m looking at upgrading my HD 598SE for competitive FPS gaming. I’m going to pair it with my new Creative G6. Which one headphone would you recommend for me to have the best competitive edge?
Flat out best headphone for competitive gaming is the Massdrop x AKG K7XX. Haven't even finished the review yet but its almost like cheating. The detail, imaging, and soundstage are simply unmatched.
@@badseedtech Do you think combining the Massdrop x AKG K7XX with the gsx 1000 would be even better?
Can you do a review on the g613 it’s a great keyboard imo that I think you should check out
It's definitely on the list.
Does anyone know how the HD 58X compare to the HD 560S in games? Looking at soundstage and positional audio.
Can someone please explain what the TRRS Balanced 2.5mm Headphone Cable is when buying the HD58X. and also is the different types of ear padding worth it?
I don't get this idea that the 650/6xx has weak soundstage imo. I think properly amped it has pretty great soundstage, not super wide, but layered and pinpoint accurate...and that makes them super great for gaming. Id definitely take the 58x over the gsp though, 150 is an absolute steal for them.
I would say everything really comes down to budget of the person. People are limited by their budget most of the time when it comes to sound devices but my preference lies in resolving headphones (for media consumption and gaming). End games are never the end in sound.
@badseed tech It’s doing my head in the choice between the SBX G6 and GSX 1000, I do want it for both PS4 and PC but only thing stopping the GSX working with console is no optical input (I assume). Could I not just get an optical - 3.5mm adapter and power the GSX from one of my PS4 usb ports to get this to work? Are you able to test it if you own any of the gear? Love the review I think it’s made my mind up to go with the 58x’s even though I’m in Australia haha. Appreciate it
The video you're looking for will be out this week.
@@badseedtech Thanks for your help, I hope to see if the GSX has a work around to work with PS4 using converters if it's even possible, being in Australia makes it hard to return items if they don't work! Thanks Again Brian.
The Game Zeroes and GSX 1000 are an awesome combo for the money.
BadSeed Tech Hey Brian...I have a totally unrelated question...since you are Kansas City based and I am from Germany I wanted to ask you about Tech N9ne and Strange Music over there: Since Tech N9ne is expanding his label and his brand over there, how is Strange Music seen by the people living in KC? Tech N9ne makes it seem like he is loved by the locals, but I just wanted to know how your take is on this? I am a really big fan of his earlier work (listened to his music since 2003...back when nobody even heard his name over here in Germany) and I went to a concert of his in Berlin about two weeks ago (European Tour) and then I remembered you talking to cellprocessing about being KC based in Trial Run. Did you maybe even meet him? I hope this is not too weird :D
Im going to slide this in here for people the gsx has two 7.1 modes a windows config which requires 16 bit because its not actually software 7.1 but windows tells apps to send multiple channels of audio and the 7.1 toggle which is a dsp that works but not as well but you can use up to 98000hz and both work really well.
how does the 58x scale in 2020 ? I just got them for 100 bucks. I hope im going to like them for gaming/competative gaamees where footsteps matter. SShould i resell them and get the 6xx ?
Recently picked up the gsp 500's on your recommendation. Would you say the gsx 1000 is a must have, no brainer kind of deal or is it worth just sticking to the on board audio? Cheers 👌
If you're onboard has an amp on the rear jack, you should be good...at that point it's really just features and 7.1 that you'd be adding so kind of tough to justify. But if no amp or if your motherboard is older it may be worth it.
@@badseedtech I'm not really a big fan of simulated 7.1 so I might take a pass on this then. Big thanks bro, you're a real one 👊
Im a sound newb currently but im very enthusiastic about it. Do i need a DAC to drive GSP 500 ? How much better will it sound? Thanks.
You should do a video on if sound cards are worth it or not. (Soundblaster)
currently reviewing the NU Audio from EVGA actually
For the 58x jubilees should I just stick with the default massdrop earpads or upgrade to the velour for $30??
Hi Badseed, i'm looking for a headphone for 70% gaming and 30% music and piano practice, either PC37X or HD58X, which one is better for me? Edit: I already have a standalone condenser mic for my pc
excuse my ignorance but if i get the 58x and the gsx 1000 will it be ok through ps4? i understand the 7.1 probably wont work but what about the mic input functionality and will that be enough power?
How do you feel about the fidelio x2hr with the gsx 1000?
I "upgraded" from GSP 600 to the HD 58x. To me it was an upgrade more Bass and even more clarity. the whole sound signature is overall more energetic.
Now near the end of 2020 with $200 in your pocket, would you pick the HD58x for a plug and play gaming solution?
You do look a lot better with the beard!
Lol, right? I didn't even know I could grow one.
Anyone know how the HD58X’s compare to the Audio Technica WS1100is’s?
How do these compare with fidelio x2hr?
Would the steel series dac work with the 58x?
so would you rather game with the HD 6xx or 58x?
