The Invisible Man (1933) | The Terror of Claude Rains' Invisible Man
If fear of the unknown is the oldest and strongest kind of fear, 1933's The Invisible Man pushed all the right buttons and boundaries. Claude Rains reins supreme as a cinematic specter of old Hollywood-watch him wreak havoc in his original outing as the Invisible Man!

Claude Rains delivers a remarkable performance in The Invisible Man as a mysterious doctor who discovers a serum that makes him invisible. Covered by bandages and dark glasses, he arrives at a small English village and attempts to hide his amazing discovery. He soon learns, however, that the same drug which renders him invisible slowly drives him to commit acts of unspeakable terror. Based on H.G. Wells' classic novel and featuring groundbreaking special effects, The Invisible Man remains a masterpiece not only of the genre, but of all time.

The classic monsters are amazing
True
The movie is terrifying yet hysterical! Claud Raines was da man!
First Universal Monsters movie I watched when I was a child. Still love it. Simple, creepy, and the effects still hold up. Chilly acting by Rains, too
The Invisible Man (1933) is one who horror/comedy never get's old. just like the other Universal Movie Monsters.
The old lady doing all the screaming is hilarious I think she played in one of the Frankenstein movies and she did the same screaming 😄
She did in Bride of Frankenstein
@@KingEddie21 I remember I was 7 years old when I first saw the invisible Man in the not long after I saw a Frankenstein movie and she looks familiar
She also played the old lady in 1932's The Old Dark House
You know that would just be too good to be true, universal studios releasing full old school horror movies on KZhead. In HD quality. Man I wonder how many comments and ad revenue they would get from that
Not much
@@SanchoDomingo_ yep
I would definitely!
No one : Not even the filmmakers : Not even Leigh Whannel : Universal Pictures : posting this movie clip 87 years later 😂
oh man~ posting a clip to a classic horror film with one of Universal's well known Monsters on October~? i'm shocked~
87 years of KZhead and they wait now???? Bastards, p.s happy 60th anniversary of vine!
"wATch OUr MoViE WE'rE aDverTiSinG"
I absolutely LOVED this as a wee fella! Can always remember his smoking jacket, sunglasses & bandages when he wore them! Timeless classic!
While the 2020 movie was pretty good, this one will always stand out as the true classic
I love this movie so much. Claude Rains is brilliant and gorgeous ❤️ Thank you ❤️
One of the best films of the 1930's. This masterpiece turns 90 this November.
This is still creepy after all these years.
I won a costume contest as the invisible man this year! My favorite classic monster!
Ahhh 😌 nothing beats the Classics!
The Tavern woman screams are only surpassed the best line in the movie by Claude Rains... "Fools!'
Invisible Man’s Murder People is Falling Down. 2:33 Car 🚗 is Falling Down, He’s Falling Down 3:00, Even Train 🚂 is Falling Down Too. 3:27
Nothing like the original the original Claude rains invisible Man one of the best😊
It's a horror classic. 😀👍
@Ashley Settle I agree. 😀👍
@Ashley Settle not really the remake is much better
just watched this on Peacock recently, not bad for 1933
Critics said Rains acting was the best they had never seen.
old movies were so violent!
My favorite classic universal monster movie
That lady is a treat!! (Una O'Connor)
I have this movie on DVD

@@gordwetmore apparantly you do care to comment
@Cesar Ulises Rodriguez LUCKY

Boa noite, um belo clássico de filme maravilhoso. Adorei o vídeo.
FANTASTIC MOVIE HERE LOVE THIS OLDIE BUT GOODIE A SOLID 10. . LOVE IT
There are a few links to rent and watch but when I click on the links I get messages telling me it's not available in Singapore. This is ridiculous. Singapore is a close ally of the USA. Lot of US companies here and even a naval base so why won't these entertainment companies allow for me to spend my money to watch this?
How is this 90 years old? That is crazy to me.
Here we go gathering nuts in may, nuts in may, nuts in may, here we go gathering nuts in may on the cold and frosty morning., whoops!
You should have called this The Comedy of Claude Rain’s Invisible Man 😂
Good special effects for 1933
"El hombre invisible"... Un clasico.
Have a book not begin yet.remember we learn at school about invisible man and am cried because he become the monster invisible...

does anyone know where I can find this full movie?
On DVD or Bluray
I don’t know which is the scariest? This one or the Blumhouse version?
Blumhouse movie sucked. Verhoeven's Invisible Man was much better.
This one scared me a child but when i watched the remake i was already desensitized to horror
ArkAngel 43 Wow!
Bill CIA Wilson I hope Blumhouse comes out with a good monster movie!
I wonder if any of these actors in the movie are still alive
I mean morgan Freeman and Christopher Lloyd are still alive so that's good. Idk if these actors are tho
90 year old movie so pretty sure not
Release Abbott and Costello on HBO Max if you want people to be excited about the Dark universe. #AbbotandCostello Remake them with Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill.
@Robert Anderson oops
I love that movie. Just picked it up on Blu Ray, but HBO Max is owned by WB not Universal.
Wait. So the train tracks had an option built in to send trains off the cliff?? Never noticed that before, to be honest. :D

This is just a fun popcorn flick with hilarious acting. Not really much “terror” about it
Really? The fact that he kills 122 people in the movie mostly from the train kill or, his delusions of grandeur, wanting to make the world grovel and describing in detail how he's going to kill someone and then makes good on his promises or, maybe the fact this movie shows what an Invisible Man can actually do unlike the Remake. Look deeper than what you see contextually and you'll find some horrific things.
Malus Phillips i mean, a flick can have many many kills, but the tone of this film is relatively funny and over the top throughout the whole film
@@IncPoint Read what I said again. I wasn't just mentioning the kills.
Malus Phillips i did. The tone of the film is still a fun one. Cant change that
@@IncPoint Not saying it's not fun. It's a horror comedy. Have to make some parts funny to drown out all the death and him losing his mind.
