A year after the first game's conclusion, Morales has trained under Parker and has fully integrated himself into the role of a Spider-Man, though he has yet to gain the experience. After Parker leaves to join his girlfriend, Daily Bugle reporter Mary Jane Watson abroad as her photographer presumably to cover the ongoing civil war in Symkaria, Miles is left as New York's sole webslinger. He must thus balance supporting his mother Rio Morales' campaign for City Council and defending both his new home in Harlem and the rest of New York City from a gang war between the Roxxon Energy Corporation and a high-tech criminal army called the Underground, led by the Tinkerer. Parker tells Morales that he has to be like his late father and walk on the path to becoming a hero for the city of New York.

Especially with how thoroughly destroyed his costume gets in the classic suit. "This is pretty standard Spider-Man stakes," as Peter would say.

Its really cool to see that miles has his own free form style of swinging in the game compared to pete
I'm pretty sure(well I think anyway) that Miles's style of swinging comes from his inexperience, whenever he swings up he flails arround and does alot of counter balance stuff, while peter(with his 8 years of experience) is super efficient with his moves and swings in a kinda "professional acrobatic" way/kinda aerodynamic for better efficiency, atleast that's what I think
I also saw in some places the frames of his swings are lower, just like in the movie. The people who made this game and the movie really love Spiderman and made it such a good franchise. I thought nothing would get better than Spiderman 2 but I'm happy I've been proven wrong!

Yeah. Harry will definitely be this timeline's version of Venom. Lizard and Sandman were already referenced in the previous game's backpack collectibles. Gwen Stacy hasn't been mentioned once and might not exist in this continuity.

Possibly, but Peter described it also as wanting to use a specific amount of pressure that wouldn't normally happen from balling up a fist or holding something. So he uses those two specific fingers in the middle so it's hard to replicate accidentally. Even from there, depending on the exact range of pressure from his depression of the trigger he can utilize different web forms. It's pretty much acknowledged in Marvel universe that if Peter would be at least as proficient as Tony Stark if he didn't grow up poor and focus so much on street level crime.

I like how much work they put into making most of the villains in these games very grounded and understandable, despite their wrongdoings, but then they just let Krieger be the evil bastard that he is, so you've got someone you can actually feel good about hating. Troy Baker also really brings his asshole energy to life. He feels like some two-faced, gentrifying rich guy you'd see on TV or read about online in the real world.

It's a bit of a reference to the ultimate comics/ og miles. Miles started off with this like Halloween costume that looked pretty much like the one Pete gives him in the game (though without the tech). also yes i am the guy that brings in way more information than necessary
I also love how miles character rises above more than just another Spider-Man. Sure has the same name, but still he established himself as his own Spider-Man. In my opinion and yes I will always love Peter Parker's Spider-Man. I've grown to love Miles Morales's Spider-Man better. We all know Peter Parker's Spider-Man like the back of our hand. Miles Morales gives us a more modern approach of the character. Plus with the Spider Verse and there being an infinite of Spider people it allows fans to explore more than just one Spider-Man. It keeps the Character fresh and relevant for our modern times of comic book heroes.
That's what the big point about Miles is-- he's his own take on Spider-Man, while he does share some similarities to Peter in action. But we see how he rolls as well as how his powers can differ that makes Miles stand out on his own two feet.

When his mom doesn’t say thank you miles but thank you spiderman and then the guy tell the reporter he’s our spiderman... those two moments really got to me and I love the tinkerers turn to help him save everyone. While at the very end he asks Pete does the job get any easier and Pete knows it def does not... plus here the mix of thier two themes as they swing together just gives me chills.

I watched this like a damn movie. The amount of cutscenes makes it quite cinematic. As an MCU fan, I feel like I got a decent Miles Morales movie out of this as if it was another big-screen film.

It’s so annoying so I was honestly just waiting for you to do this gameplay. I knew you would do it right and give it justice thank you.
I know what you mean. We learned a long time ago that we have to play the game with a more cinematic eye to make it more enjoyable foe the viewers. I remember in Dead Rising 3 we used a horse head mask for fun half of the game and our viewers were justifiably annoyed. So we try to stay consistent to the story arcs when we play. As Aunt May told Peter, "When you help someone, you help everyone." Spider-Man helped Gloria and now Gloria is helping everyone else in the community. It just goes to show that the real superheroes in these Spider-Man stories are the ones who guide and inspire the Spider-Men to do what they do.

Nah. Miles has gotten better with development, but will always be in the shadow of Peter Parker and Ben Riley to some extent. Granted, he could easily carry another game or part of the campaign in the next game.
@@silverblade357 Nah he’s no longer in the shadow of Peter nor in the entertainment adaptations or in the comics, in fact he was only in his shadow for a few short years after he was introduced and especially after he finally took on the name “Ultimate Spider-Man” after the “Secret Wars” event in 2015 which merged every earth into one prime earth, and where he and Peter of earth 616 coexist, and Peter even says he’s his own man now. And also Ben Riley got nothing on miles for a long shot, the dude hasn’t been popular since the 90s and he’s literally a darker more brooding Peter, which is awesome and all but not as good as Miles who has more personality and relatability.
@@randomuser2409 Ben Riley was the original "other" Spider-Man and most people think his still being able to choose to do good despite only being a clone is inspiring... even if the whole concept of a perfect clone, with all the same memories, is pretty freaking stupid even by comic book standards. As for Miles, I only mean as far as popularity and prestige. Miles will need tons more time and development to be more than the other Spider-Man to the mainstream. Granted, this can totally happen. Asking readers to choose between John Stewart and Hal Jordan is a great way to provoke a neverending argument!

As far as versions of the Tinkerer go, I have to say Phin by far is my favorite. Sucks that she died. Wish she could've lived and redeemed herself. Maybe her and Miles could've been partners and we could've played as her

I think she saw her sacrifice as the only way to redeem herself, even if Miles wouldn't have agreed. While I'd personally rather they not minimize the sacrifice by undoing it, I do think it's possible for them to use some comic book logic to explain that because bioelectricity is just life-force energy, Miles' blast could've converted her into pure energy instead of simply killed her, so she'd be kind of like a version of Electro or something. But that might be too much of a stretch and I would like for death to have some meaning in this franchise, unlike how the comics often handle it. It's just an idea for if they ever had a good enough reason to bring her back in some form or another.

I think it was mentioned that he built up resistance to the electricity due to his powers. Additionally since it’s an absorb and release type deal he’s probably not really affected by his own powers, he still gets exhausted and worn out from using it tho.
