  • Disabled women here! I’ve been trying to watch videos on eating better because my disability affects the muscles in my mouth, and i struggle to eat with my mouth closed. This is the first video where the person didn’t call people chewing with their mouth open a “dirty animal” or something else demeaning. I really appreciate it :)

    • Don't wait till you're starving to eat food. It's said that you should eat when your hunger levels are a 7 or 8 out of 10. You're less likely to binge eat and more likely to eat mindfully then :)

  • i know this vid is old but i started to incorporate this and i’ve noticed a big difference with my health. i have more energy, less gas, less indigestion, almost no heartburn, less constipation, no bloating, feeling fuller longer i can’t believe i was eating wrong all these years

  • She just told us how to eat properly and one part of that was at first resist the urge to chew. So what did she do on the second bite she took. She put it in her mouth and started to chew it right away.

Even, to my surprise, "chewing." The above quote seems to say that which is difficult or hard to chew would be forbidden to eat by any wise person. :-)

  • i think this is too extreme.. it's a balance.. re:TH17 cells.. too much mastication(due to abrasion) can contribute to things like periodontitis and eventually bone loss... it also stimulates bad bacteria not just good bacteria.. what you said is correct but imo incomplete.. there are also studies that back my position.. my opinion is that if you chew the way you do in this video at every meal and every day, you will end up with bad teeth at a pretty young age
