Better yet. Every meal missed should be 2 years in jail. Quick edit: now I get that some families are really poor and are trying their best, but meals in that case will be missed, and I don't blame the parents. But if a parent is well enough with money to purchase meals for the children then absolutely they need at minimum of 2 years for every meal missed. Small edit: This is my most liked comment, lol.

I absolutely loved how the officer who found the three kids in the woods in the last video, how he acted around the kids and giving them high fives and saying how good of a job they did getting out. I’m sure it made the kids feel better and more at ease :) what a great group of officers

This first video, that cop unlocking the chains on the girl was so sweet. He was trying to work fast but also carefully so he wouldn’t hurt the girl anymore than she already had been. He was also speaking calmly as to make sure she knew she was safe. I’m glad they saved her. Who knows what could’ve happened if they didn’t catch the car in time.

i’m horrified that ruby’s situation got that far. a couple years ago, she was in hot water bc she made a video where she said her 6 year old daughter’s teacher called her bc she didn’t bring a lunch & wanted to know if she could give the child a snack bc she was hungry. she told the teacher that it was the daughter’s responsibility to pack her own lunch so if she forgets to, she’ll just have to be hungry, and did not allow the teacher to give her anything. there was another time where she bragged about taking her son’s bed away because he pulled a prank (albeit, a cruel prank) on his little brother. i’m not surprised that she did any of the things she was arrested for. DCFS should have intervened five years ago. but better late than never i guess

That is an unfair statement I think. There have been many cases where people closest to them haven't known anything or believe the best when they see the signs because they don't want to think ill of their loved ones. Or Ruby could've only shown what she wanted to show to the friend. I mean, the 2 girls that were at the friends house had no visible signs of neglect or abuse in the video. In saying that, it was a bit odd the friend's chill reaction to knowing a child was malnourished and wounded. But then again, she could've been slow to process what was really happening after suddenly getting a knock on her door and then straight put into handcuffs. Or she didn't think what the police were saying really happened. We can't say whether the friend was guilty or not for definite because it's purely speculation.

A correction to the facts stated in the Ruby Frankie (8 passengers KZheadr) case , is that the older girls were found that same day. They weren’t missing for days at all and the police search for them was not long or over multiple days. The older two female children were found only a couple of hours after the initial arrest and the within hours of the police investigating the 911 call from the neighbour, that was made after brave little Russell escaped. So the search ended for ALL the children all on the same day the call was made and the younger children were discovered. It was all over in just a couple hours.

The victim mentions it in passing, but it's very important for it to be known that in the case of the first incident, her neighbor saw her being dragged out of her house and into the car and he called the cops and started this whole process that lead to the cops finding and rescuing her

Strictness can be a dance on a knifes blade, I feel like. There is strictness that comes from "not knowing better/else", because you've been raised like that as well, then there is strictness that may come from being overdone having young onces and then there is the most accurate and almost bilogy given strictness for a only a few that are "striict" but you still know "It's bc they love you!" the only other kind following all of these is plain simple abuse to me. 10:20 for those who dont understand, this is physics based. The tires of the victim are going a specific speed, for example 80km/h and the body of the car is going 80km/h as well. If you do the pit maneuver, the body of the car accelerates to for example: 85km/h. But the weel is still going 80km/h. This makes the tires loose traction/friction and it feels like you drive on ice

that's how it happens on some pit maneuvers, but on others the application of the lateral force to car increases the slip angle of the rear wheels to the point they lose traction, causing the car to spin out.

It's also sometimes the case that by tapping the comparatively lighter rear end of the car you point them off towards the side really rapidly and break traction by sliding them laterally into a spin. They then try to correct and fishtail until they crash.

I'm glad all of these people were found, I hope they can all get whatever help they need. As for the Ruby Franke issue, I think her ex-husband should be up on charges too since I refuse to believe he didn't witness the punishments or see the malnourished state of his children. He had to have seen everything and did nothing for them, he is just as much at fault as she and her partner were. He also allegedly wanted to have his estranged daughter arrested on a burglary charge after police "broke" into his home to serve a warrant, the cops told him it wasn't her but them who went in and took electronics. It looks to me that he was trying to throw his daughter under the bus and jumped on the opportunity to do so and was stymied by the cops having a lawful warrant. Shari, the daughter, had been trying for years to show their abuse, which was why she was allegedly shunned by her parents. So yeah, I think he's just as evil and the rest of the kids should never be in his care.

Fear is a big part of it, but also I think if he was there during the abuse and the kids saw that he didn't intervene they would probably think their mother was right, that they really were bad and deserved it since dad isn't defending them, further driving them into the brainwashing their mother was doing.

that last story had me tearing up. that man who found them is an absolute angel & the cop who was first in contact with them was wonderful with keeping them calm & making sure they knew that they were safe. i can’t imagine how scared those poor babies were and the amount of relief they felt when that man found them. with so many stories about horrible or entitled people, it’s nice to see that many people are still kind - they just aren’t typically recognized as much as the bad ones but they exist

both women are going through the system. Ruby is pending sentencing in Feb 2024 after a plea deal in december 2023. Jodi was in the hospital. Bloggers moms are getting jail time.

I was a lost kid once, I wanna say I was about 5. My house butted up against a portion of a state forest that I used to play in all the time, but never went all that deep into the woods, maybe within a mile of the house generally. There were also quite a few dirt bike/quad trails back there, some originating from my neighbor and others from different streets on the perimeter of the forest. My section was basically boxed in by roads on all sides with neighborhoods so it wasn't a vast wilderness, but it was a pretty substantial area covering several miles. So anyway, me and my neighbor friend who was also 5 were playing in the woods one day when we decided to explore farther than we normally would... and predictably we got lost. Thankfully because of how the area is laid out we were able to get to the backyard of some house on the opposite side of the forest nearby where some of my school friends lived. The nice lady at the house we landed at took care of us till the cops got there. It was only a few hours we were in the woods, and we came out just a couple minutes drive away from where we lived. Couple scratches from thorns and whatnot but that's it. I continued to dick around in those woods long after that till my family moved before I went into high school. I never made that same mistake twice, and definitely upped my wilderness game as I got older. Went on to become an avid hiker for awhile, but the past couple years I haven't found the opportunity to do much.

Of all of the horrific things about the 8 Passengers case, and it's a _long_ history of unchecked abuse and mistreatment, one thing that sticks out to me is seeing footage of the youngest son (the one who went for help) when he was little. It was obvious that all he wanted was to make his mom happy. His love for her was so unconditional and pure. I'm sure it was the same for all the kids when they were little, but for some reason he seemed extra sensitive to her needs. When you think of it like that, it makes her abuse of him even more evil. So many adults failed these kids.

There was also the big christian family who imprisoned their kids. That one girl who escaped and brought the cops down on their parents can at least be confident in the fact that she's a damn hero. Same for the first woman here, who was abducted. Fought and put in motion the chain of events, pardon the pun, that got her free. That little kid never sought freedom. That will limit his recovery.

She should get jail time, after that I think she should have only supervised visits by a state agency so she can’t manipulate anyone, and that is only if the kids want to see her. She still is their mother and they should be allowed to if that helps them but not alone. After they are 18 they can decide to continue or not. She blew it though and endangered her children and should never be allowed to be alone with them. She can’t be trusted.

As horrible as the majority of footage in this video is... That last clip with "Local Man" has made my day. Those are some lucky children but it's a blessed community having not just the local man who found the children after searching all night, the leo's sound great people too. We live in strange times where fear & distrust dictate but we should never close the door on asking locals for help in some situations. There's too much red-tape preventing LE doing things certain ways but locals aren't as inhibited & that teamed with their knowledge of the area can bring success faster than the authorities might. That last video has definitely given me a wee glow 😊

I cant imagine the relief these individuals felt when they knew they were being rescued. While I know the world has figured out who is who regarding Ruby, there's still a blur oopsie at 20:05. What pisses me off the most about that case is they were so brazen because they got sponsored to abuse their children on film year after year when it could've been immediately stopped. It's not like they lacked evidence, she filmed it all. It never should have come to this. That 911 call makes me cry every time I hear that man get choked up. 😭 Great compilation; has a nice mix of the feel goods in it to take a bit of weight off of the trauma dump. The kidnapping police chase was so intense, that sweet lady must have been so scared and worried about her husband while he was probably even more distraught about her being abducted. Bless the young woman's neighbors that saw her kidnapped and called the police. I wish more people did the right thing when they see bad things happen.

When they were confronted by officers they were babbling shit, to save their asses. And at the end, there is this one guy, who heard that little kids were missing. So he went out, searched by himself all night and found all of them, at the end. And what did this guy say? He asked the officer "Ain't Jesus good?" ... yes sir! And you did his work 💪❤️

In regard to the second story - this is one of my worst fears when I'm in the car with my husband and we stop somewhere, with me staying in the car and him going to buy snacks or pay for fuel or whatever... I always tell him to either take the car keys with him, or to lock me in. It is just too easy for someone to jump into the driver's seat and take off with me in the car.

That Utah case with the blogger irritated me. I know the story. The oldest daughter and other family members called police and DCFS and nothing happened to protect the kids. Every time DCFS went to the home, they were told nothing was wrong, and they left.

This first video, that cop unlocking the chains on the girl was so sweet. He was trying to work fast but also carefully so he wouldn’t hurt the girl anymore than she already had been. He was also speaking calmly as to make sure she knew she was safe. I’m glad they saved her. Who knows what could’ve happened if they didn’t catch the car in time.

i’m horrified that ruby’s situation got that far. a couple years ago, she was in hot water bc she made a video where she said her 6 year old daughter’s teacher called her bc she didn’t bring a lunch & wanted to know if she could give the child a snack bc she was hungry. she told the teacher that it was the daughter’s responsibility to pack her own lunch so if she forgets to, she’ll just have to be hungry, and did not allow the teacher to give her anything. there was another time where she bragged about taking her son’s bed away because he pulled a prank (albeit, a cruel prank) on his little brother. i’m not surprised that she did any of the things she was arrested for. DCFS should have intervened five years ago. but better late than never i guess

That is an unfair statement I think. There have been many cases where people closest to them haven't known anything or believe the best when they see the signs because they don't want to think ill of their loved ones. Or Ruby could've only shown what she wanted to show to the friend. I mean, the 2 girls that were at the friends house had no visible signs of neglect or abuse in the video. In saying that, it was a bit odd the friend's chill reaction to knowing a child was malnourished and wounded. But then again, she could've been slow to process what was really happening after suddenly getting a knock on her door and then straight put into handcuffs. Or she didn't think what the police were saying really happened. We can't say whether the friend was guilty or not for definite because it's purely speculation.

A correction to the facts stated in the Ruby Frankie (8 passengers KZheadr) case , is that the older girls were found that same day. They weren’t missing for days at all and the police search for them was not long or over multiple days. The older two female children were found only a couple of hours after the initial arrest and the within hours of the police investigating the 911 call from the neighbour, that was made after brave little Russell escaped. So the search ended for ALL the children all on the same day the call was made and the younger children were discovered. It was all over in just a couple hours.
That case left me a bit confused about the woman who had the older two girls. Was she in on it? Was she charged also?

Strictness can be a dance on a knifes blade, I feel like. 10:20 for those who dont understand, this is physics based. The tires of the victim are going a specific speed, for example 80km/h and the body of the car is going 80km/h as well. If you do the pit maneuver, the body of the car accelerates to for example: 85km/h. But the weel is still going 80km/h. This makes the tires loose traction/friction and it feels like you drive on ice

that's how it happens on some pit maneuvers, but on others the application of the lateral force to car increases the slip angle of the rear wheels to the point they lose traction, causing the car to spin out.
That first cop who finds the SUV, immediately turns round and tries to pursue.. he is gunning the fuck out of that police car, says 90 at one point and still isn't catching up.. how fuckin' fast was the SUV going?!?!
It's also sometimes the case that by tapping the comparatively lighter rear end of the car you point them off towards the side really rapidly and break traction by sliding them laterally into a spin. They then try to correct and fishtail until they crash.

I'm not a cop fan for the most part, but 11:43 "Hands are up, I can see hands, hands are up!". THAT is the most comforting thing I've ever heard a cop say. Deescalating in a stressful situation like that. GJ sir. Good job.
I'm also very critical of policing as a whole but there are some really wonderful people who entered law enforcement for the right reasons.
Glad you guys are reasonable about it. There are good and bad cops, videos of good cops don't get posted as often as the bad ones are. I like these channels that show good cops doing their job of protecting civilians.
I have to say the officers that search for the missing kids most of them go on for hours non stop. It’s an every parents worst nightmare thanks for all the rescued children. My heart goes out to those still missing.

The friend that had the two girls in her home is just as guilty as the mom. She showed no emotion when told the condition of the two younger children. She also uses the one girl as her maid. People sicken me. I'm gonna go hug my dog.

I'm glad all of these people were found, I hope they can all get whatever help they need. As for the Ruby Franke issue, I think her ex-husband should be up on charges too since I refuse to believe he didn't witness the punishments or see the malnourished state of his children. He had to have seen everything and did nothing for them, he is just as much at fault as she and her partner were. He also allegedly wanted to have his estranged daughter arrested on a burglary charge after police "broke" into his home to serve a warrant, the cops told him it wasn't her but them who went in and took electronics. It looks to me that he was trying to throw his daughter under the bus and jumped on the opportunity to do so and was stymied by the cops having a lawful warrant. Shari, the daughter, had been trying for years to show their abuse, which was why she was allegedly shunned by her parents. So yeah, I think he's just as evil and the rest of the kids should never be in his care.
I was wondering why she didn’t say anything not accusing but knowing what her siblings were going through. I’m sure she lived in great fear. Would any of the children speak up if father had knowledge of abuse?
@@elainehenning1387 A lot of abused kids don't say anything, especially against their abusers. Fear is a big part of it, but also I think if he was there during the abuse and the kids saw that he didn't intervene they would probably think their mother was right, that they really were bad and deserved it since dad isn't defending them, further driving them into the brainwashing their mother was doing.
he wasn't living in the house for like a year bc Ruby's "therapist" friend said he was a porn addict (something she claimed about every man, and even some children, it's very weird). but he's still a pushover, not demanding to see his kids and just doing whatever his psychotic wife said. it's possible he was a victim of her abuse too. it's hard to feel bad for him when his first questions when he hears of how his kid was found is "is she gonna be charged? I love my wife." what about your KIDS??

it’s heartbreaking to realize how much pain and suffering those poor kids could have been spared if someone did the right thing and truly investigated but i’m glad that it’s finally being brought to light. as sad as it is, i’m so happy these kids will be protected & safe now & will hopefully be provided with the proper resources to heal from such a horrific childhood
Yeah. I mean two certain families I know on KZhead never had issues like this. If anything they always are helpful to those in need. The families I’m talking about are Brian and Missy Lanning and their kids Oliver, Finn, and Brielle, and the Family Fun Pack family, which are Matt and Kristine and their kids Alyssa, David, Zac, Chris, Michael, Owen, and Chloe.

The police thaf handled the Franke case did beautifully. I'm very critical of cops but I thought they acted calmly, non threatening and really worked to de escalate the situation instead of just exerting authority. Hats off to them.

that last story had me tearing up. that man who found them is an absolute angel & the cop who was first in contact with them was wonderful with keeping them calm & making sure they knew that they were safe. i can’t imagine how scared those poor babies were and the amount of relief they felt when that man found them. with so many stories about horrible or entitled people, it’s nice to see that many people are still kind - they just aren’t typically recognized as much as the bad ones but they exist

I was a lost kid once, I wanna say I was about 5. My house butted up against a portion of a state forest that I used to play in all the time, but never went all that deep into the woods, maybe within a mile of the house generally. There were also quite a few dirt bike/quad trails back there, some originating from my neighbor and others from different streets on the perimeter of the forest. My section was basically boxed in by roads on all sides with neighborhoods so it wasn't a vast wilderness, but it was a pretty substantial area covering several miles. So anyway, me and my neighbor friend who was also 5 were playing in the woods one day when we decided to explore farther than we normally would... and predictably we got lost. Thankfully because of how the area is laid out we were able to get to the backyard of some house on the opposite side of the forest nearby where some of my school friends lived. The nice lady at the house we landed at took care of us till the cops got there. It was only a few hours we were in the woods, and we came out just a couple minutes drive away from where we lived. Couple scratches from thorns and whatnot but that's it. I continued to dick around in those woods long after that till my family moved before I went into high school. I never made that same mistake twice, and definitely upped my wilderness game as I got older. Went on to become an avid hiker for awhile, but the past couple years I haven't found the opportunity to do much.
Of all of the horrific things about the 8 Passengers case, and it's a _long_ history of unchecked abuse and mistreatment, one thing that sticks out to me is seeing footage of the youngest son (the one who went for help) when he was little. It was obvious that all he wanted was to make his mom happy. His love for her was so unconditional and pure. I'm sure it was the same for all the kids when they were little, but for some reason he seemed extra sensitive to her needs. When you think of it like that, it makes her abuse of him even more evil. So many adults failed these kids.
There was also the big christian family who imprisoned their kids. That one girl who escaped and brought the cops down on their parents can at least be confident in the fact that she's a damn hero. Same for the first woman here, who was abducted. Fought and put in motion the chain of events, pardon the pun, that got her free. That little kid never sought freedom. That will limit his recovery.

Ruby Frank's two older children weren't missing for two days like the narrator says. Other mediums, and this video itself, shows they were picked up the same day. Misnformation can be very damaging.
I keep hearing the 8 passengers stories from different stories but each time there’s a new stress filled layer to the story, crazy.
Sad part is Ruby has pleaded a deal and is going to testify against her friend. I hope she doesn’t get away with it, she still was their mother. She has heard from her older children their concerns for years, let alone the public.
She should get life without parole. Those children will suffer a lifetime because of her.

She should get jail time, after that I think she should have only supervised visits by a state agency so she can’t manipulate anyone, and that is only if the kids want to see her. She still is their mother and they should be allowed to if that helps them but not alone. After they are 18 they can decide to continue or not. She blew it though and endangered her children and should never be allowed to be alone with them. She can’t be trusted.

As horrible as the majority of footage in this video is... That last clip with "Local Man" has made my day. Those are some lucky children but it's a blessed community having not just the local man who found the children after searching all night, the leo's sound great people too. We live in strange times where fear & distrust dictate but we should never close the door on asking locals for help in some situations. There's too much red-tape preventing LE doing things certain ways but locals aren't as inhibited & that teamed with their knowledge of the area can bring success faster than the authorities might. That last video has definitely given me a wee glow 😊
The men who found those kids are true heros. ( The ones who found all of the people, but the last story was just so touching) With all the negative things you see about police all day every day this was so heartwarming to watch. ❤

Look i know these days cops aren't painted in the best light (understandably) but they're not all bad and do a dangerous job. I cant imagine the relief these individuals felt when they knew they were being rescued. My hope for 2024 is that we can all come to some kind of understanding and talk to each other and figure this out. I just want everyone to be happy is all. While I know the world has figured out who is who regarding Ruby, there's still a blur oopsie at 20:05. What pisses me off the most about that case is they were so brazen because they got sponsored to abuse their children on film year after year when it could've been immediately stopped. It's not like they lacked evidence, she filmed it all. It never should have come to this. That 911 call makes me cry every time I hear that man get choked up. 😭 Great compilation; has a nice mix of the feel goods in it to take a bit of weight off of the trauma dump. The kidnapping police chase was so intense, that sweet lady must have been so scared and worried about her husband while he was probably even more distraught about her being abducted. Bless the young woman's neighbors that saw her kidnapped and called the police. I wish more people did the right thing when they see bad things happen.

During the whole video we've witnessed so many crazy people who did terrible things. Some even to their own children! When they were confronted by officers they were babbling shit, to save their asses. And at the end, there is this one guy, who heard that little kids were missing. So he went out, searched by himself all night and found all of them, at the end. And what did this guy say? He asked the officer "Ain't Jesus good?" ... yes sir! And you did his work 💪❤️

Very emotional stories so glad the kids were all saved. I admit the story of the kids treated so badly by their mother brought a tear to my eye. The ghosts of my childhood still haunt me at over 70 years old.
Those children will mostly likely continue to relive that nightmare over in their minds. Experiencing such trauma physically and mentally doesn’t go away overnight. So to say these children are fine isn’t accurate IMO.

The more of these I watch the more respect I have for the police. It is refreshing to see video's of rescues, most don't end well.
In regard to the second story - this is one of my worst fears when I'm in the car with my husband and we stop somewhere, with me staying in the car and him going to buy snacks or pay for fuel or whatever... I always tell him to either take the car keys with him, or to lock me in. It is just too easy for someone to jump into the driver's seat and take off with me in the car.
This is the exact reason I ALWAYS ALWAYS lock the car no matter where I'm at or time of day the absolute second I shut the door. I'm a single mom of 2 my kids are 14 and 9 there are crazy people in this world and I much rather be safe than sorry.
Better to be safe and lock the doors If I was that woman knowing how fast and crazy the kidnapper was driving I would have had a heart attack.

That Utah case with the blogger irritated me. I know the story. The oldest daughter and other family members called police and DCFS and nothing happened to protect the kids. Every time DCFS went to the home, they were told nothing was wrong, and they left.
Utah is a Mormon-run state where family is never split up because the Mormon church forbids it.

As a male like @colinjames2469 should understand if he wasn't so entitled to touching whatever he himself wants without consent, the police is acting correctly since hugging or touching can be detrimental for a woman who's been sexually assaulted or molested. So they are not advised to do these things in rescue situations . It can worsen the trauma. But men like colinjames2469 is only thinking about his own sexual and physical needs and will always blame women when they are not immediately taken care of. Like a true Incel. Thank God he's not a cop.
