MY EGG FREEZING JOURNEY 🥚😳🤷🏻‍♀️ | Lucia Liu - (prep/cost/schedule/ultrasounds )

Hi :)
I froze my eggs :) I’m not ready for children and tbh I can’t even imagine myself being a mother. So I looked into egg freezing and decided this was the best time for me to do it.
I want to share this journey as I think that many of us might have the uncertainty of when to have children, or whether to have children.
Hope this can give you some insights about egg freezing :)
Disclaimer: I'm not a medical professional and this is purely just my personal experience. Everybody is very different :)
I was pretty nervous going in but really it was easier than I thought. 21 injections in 10 days and besides being bloated starting day 5 and a bit emotional here and there, everything else was normal. My body was really sensitive to the medications so I was way ahead of schedule and Dr. Kornafel made quick adjustments based on my body condition to make sure I was safe and to save the cycle. I had 33 eggs retrieved and 24 frozen which is a pretty solid cycle.
My bf Jason is the real mvp, he really gave me his 100% support and understanding, was there for me for whatever I needed especially during the emotional times 💜
A big thank you to Dr. Konafel and all the staffs @harvestfertility for making this cycle so smooth and taking good care of me.

    • Its hilarious how you women fall for this scam that rarely works out. just look up statistics and consult other women who froze eggs in early 00's and fell for this scam. You women are kidding yourself if you think that you will be able to have healthy children after age of 30, and especially frozen ones. You can hate on me, but you will have so much stress and issues to concieve a child. and will spend shitloads of money. Its your choice, but dont blame others or society when you let the Jēw trick you with this, at age of 29 without having at least 1 child you are statistically already behind the genetical wall for having healthy children.

    • Also she in video is lying about 80 to 90% chance to get 1 child from these eggs in future. The current data is In 2016, there were just 519 egg thawing cycles across the UK, up from 448 in 2015 (+16%). Of these only 35% involved the patient’s own eggs, with 65% using frozen donor eggs. The report shows that although the birth rate for women using their own eggs in a thaw cycle has increased from 12% in 2014 to around 18% in 2016 - it is still significantly below that for IVF overall (26%). In 2016, 39 babies were born to women using their own thawed eggs in treatment.

Since I started IVF 2 years ago, I tell every woman in their 20s to think about freezing eggs coz I do not want anyone to have to go through multiple rounds of IVF. The emotional toll alone is just a lot. I commend you for freezing your eggs. I hope it will be a relief for you when/if you want to have kids someday. Wish you all the best!

Am stilll cant belive what happened to me. ,,check out the “cancer/vitamin C , doxycycline “ it save my life(Chemo Radiation still d main treatment tho) like it was brutal. Utter brutal. Also u should look “psilocybin “ for brain heal. It’s d ONLY thing has ever helped post Cancer. It reconnects Neurons. Psilocybin is almost the same chemical as “serotonin “ the main brain signal transmitter. It energize brain, so brain gets strong, n prevents cell death. It’s being used for treating cancer patients now post treatment. And they are doing clinical trials all over. It’s d ONLY thing worked. Literally. For brain fog. 😊

Congratulations for going thru such a successful process, I was so worried about the results.🥺🥳 I’m 24 yrs old, not thinking about having children anytime soon. But was for sure on the fence of maybe one day might freeze my eggs. It’s been something on my mind, as I think about the future. Financial independence is a big factor too, I’m still learning about my options. ❤❤❤

    • Yeah do it . Do it do it. I suggest all women do it past 30. Sometimes relationship falls apart, marriage ends, or 1 gets sick, have to have plan put on hold. ( i did got very ill almost died). Past 30 egg quality dramatic goes down, n higher chance for genetic heart issues n autism. So better have eggs frozen early.

  • Good for you both financially and mentally. Freezing early is good but IVF also depends on male factor so dont wait long until you regret it.

    @cchan2698@cchan2698 Жыл бұрын
    • Male factor is almost irrelevant, for example the sperm count is thrown all around as a coping mechanism for women not being able to concieve proper child past age of 29 and a lie to calm down women who fell for modern western society scam that you can have healthy children in 30s or later without having at least one before. If you would study medicine and biology and look up statistics you would see that for yourself. A man rarely has any issues to impregnate a woman at her prime age, even if he is 40 years older than her, because it all depends on female side, they carry the burden of reproduction and health of child biologically. Egg freezing has been the biggest medical scam of past 3 decades. and its sad to see women still fall for that. if you are 30 then you need to accept that you are past the wall of having children and try to rush and concieve child and hope he will win genetical lottery to not have health issues or simply accept reality and brace for not having children or proper family for rest of your life. and just have fun with cats.

    • @@CC-vv2ne In fact, I’m personally going thru fertility issues and male factor is a major component. Please show some support and encouragement for one another instead of relying on stats or whatsoever. As doctors say, IVF is just numbers. Everyone’s situation is unique so just because it didn’t work out for some doesn’t mean it’s not going to work out for all. You can be in your 20s but not being able to conceive. Every child is a miracle.

      @cchan2698@cchan2698 Жыл бұрын
    • @@CC-vv2ne Yes, a (not every) man *can* get a woman pregnant even if he is very old, but sperm quality and the probability decreases significantly, and the risk for miscarriage increases with bad sperm quality. Which has nothing to do with the woman's fertility but the body getting rid of ill cells. A woman's ability to get pregnant ends after menopause, but the men's ability to impregnate and get a healthy child decreases as well with age or can be bad to begin with

  • I’m 20 and don’t know much about freezing eggs so this was super interesting! Just curious, do the eggs need to be fertilized in order to freeze them?

    @sumikokwok2122@sumikokwok21229 ай бұрын
    • Depends if she is going to make them embryo or not before freezing. Usually the married couples free embryos. Usually single ladies just free eggs. Because eggs n embryos when they thaw out there will be some loss. About 10% for embryo. Not sure eggs. Usually embryos takes 6 days to be carefully monitored in the lab in pretended human body temperature . Usually women in the 20s, about 50%-60% of their eggs will make to d END of embryo development. Pass 30 drastically goes down. About like 30-40, then pass 35, its like only 20 % makes to the final development . N even its full grown, some are MAL grown. So those embryos might be bad quality. So once inverted back in the lady , then if they dont attach to the uterus wall well, it falls off, or have some sort of loss. Then its GONE. All the effort for NOTHING. That’s why its like extremely devastating. Cuz some women get divorced n they thought they dont need to do it early on as they were getting married. Then they have to do d IVF much later in 30s missing out prime time for top egg quality/count. Cuz very low chance a egg can become a baby. They dont need to be fertilized to be frozen. Just eggs.

    • The eggs get frozen. If you want to use them, they are usually inseminated in vitro, meaning in the lab, so the fusion of sperm and egg happens outside of the body. That way they can check whether the fusion has been successful before transferring the embryo. Before the transfer, the person who will carry the baby gets another round of (different) hormones, so the body is prepared in the best way to have a pregnancy. The transfer happens at a time in the cycle that matches usual ovulation. As far as I know, the transfer is the least invasive part, because once placed inside of the lined uterus, the embryo will attach itself. It can also happen in vivo though, so the saved follicle gets placed into the uterus and then the second half of the genetic code for the future baby needs to be provided to said follicle. This can tend to be less successful, because sometimes follicles aren't able to fuse, and also, sperm gets less potent the older the person is who it's coming from. But I'm no expert on any of this, so some things I said may very well not be quite correct.
