  • at 7:35 you don't need to cut string for thinner lines,(if you cut it for thin lines it gets strung on main line) just take the loop through the hook's loop and over the sharp tip of the hook and back. Then pull it to lock it on the circlet of the hook. I've been using the video to make 2 hook lines without cutting string and its very good for non clumpy fishing. its great for fast fishing where you don't need to untangle the sub line to main line.

  • I was experimenting with this and came up with an alternate method that can come in handy. Instead of making the first loop with the 2 overhands, i make the loop by twisting the line idk (20-30 times?) so i end up with the line twisted like a rope with a loop at the end. Once i get the leader/loop the lenght i want it, then i tie the “dropper loop knot were the 2 ends of the “twisted leader meet. This results on the same “T” shape, but it’s a lot stiffer and puts the loop furhers away from the main line. For perspective, doing this method with a 15lbs line it’s stiff enough to hold a 1/0 hook almost perfectly horizontal about 15” from the main line. To secure rhe hook at the end of the leader most of the times, i just atach it staight to the look bu getting the loop tru the eye, then the hook tru the loop. But i also pre snell hooks with a loop at the end, and attach it loop to loop. Takes a little longer to make, and it’s not something i would build at the water, but works really well by keeping fish from hitting the main line on the way to get the bait if the leader is sagging or tangled on the main line. I hope that makes sence.
