(THIS IS OUTDATED, SO IS A LOT OF THE VIDEO) Heads up for new players or people doing another playthrough The black caliburn only spawns at street cred 40 (it spawns whether you help panam or not, if you don't help her rogue rewards you with a free quartz bandit) The free mantis blades at the phantom cyberpsycho aren't there anymore (there will probably be an arm implant, but not of very high rarity)

@@user-ck1ib6zn7b You can buy a Katana that does 2.4k damage and the overture legendary I bought does 100% crit chance and 200% crit damage with 4 mod slots. I didn't even max out crit damage modifiers and I was doing like 600k on some enemies.

One thing you maybe forgot to mention is the double jump boots which are called "Reinforced Tendons". those you can only obtain when you go to any reaperdoc in the city and buy it as a "leg" replacements for 50k ingame currency. there is no other way then this to obtain those boots, but they are Hella worth it and give you a different and more fun perspective of the game. I encountered those accidently and after trying them for a couple of hours of gameplay, I can safely say they are highly recommended and worth every penny. :D

If you get a built for katana, Satori can be the best katana in the game. The thing is most builts are mid, long range and katana is mostly used only when there is a short range enemy. 1 of every5 enemies.

It's quite surprising that the "best weapon" in the game is the one that seems to be most often overlooked. It's the tranquilizer darts for your projectile launcher. The description sounds benign enough but the way it's implemented in the game means it's a 1-hit KO for any human enemies. ANY human enemies...including bosses. Granted...haven't tried it on Oda or Adam smasher yet but it works on the cyberpsychos!

After the 50 shots I got rid of it & brought them back to the girl.. I have a blueprint for a smart gun that if you fully upgrade your crafting tree you make legendary & every clothes mods etc becomes legendary, & recrafting everything again it makes it even more OP..! I Upgraded all my technical tree crafting & engineering So I do posses legendary smart weapon that are so OP.. especially with the legendary smart link & on top of that crafted a mod for my eye that give me 50% headshot bonus added it 4×.. So I get 200% headshot bonus that's insane.. & playing it on Very Hard so I can get some type of challenge 🤦

its worth noting, that "skippy" adjusts to the players level, so it might always be the best gun (headshots only cmon) and can also be upgraded with modules for extra dmg. the supercar only spawns after you got the 2nd job from panam. (finished ghost town and played some days)

I'd put the Shingen Mark V at #1. You can find it in the mission where you and Takemura infiltrate an Arasaka base to hack the float for the parade. A random email you can read on several computers mentions that someone left a nice surprise in container 667 as a thank you. That surprise (along with a live mine, be careful!) is the Shingen Mark V. It's a Smart SMG that engages 3 targets at once and fires explosive rounds. Using this against a base of enemies is hilarious. It's literally just geysers of limbs. I fired a 2 round burst at some poor ganger boss, and all that was left of him was his rump. His limbs and head had been blown off so fiercely they flew across rooftops etc.

Satori is absolutely the best weapon once your crit chance is high. With regards to level breaker weapons, any smart sniper rifle can wreck face way outside your level range.

For me the revolver that kerry gives you is the most op one specially if you're pistol build and coldblooded build. Why its better? You can attached scope and silencer and get revolver bonuses perk unlike silver hand's revolver. You can also actually evolve it into legendary status if you unlock the perk for it under crafts.

I literally had to replay a 20 minute segment of a game 3 times because I thought If I did, the glitch or bugs or whatever would work itself out, but no. So I loaded the game and lost about 1.5 hours of gameplay. Plus I'm gonna have to do it all again anyway. It's super annoying

Once I got Johnny's gun, I pretty much ran the rest of the game with it. You can make it as strong as it is when Johnny has it, you just have to have the right weapon mods equipped.

The overture revolver is also really powerful if you have the right setup. I have a %100+ crit chance and %150+ crit damage. Plus the silencer u put on it makes it even more powerful. I get an average 15,000-22,000 per headshot

Weeeeelllll Actually Johny Mnemonic got a bunch of its ideas from the origional cyberpunk mythos, not just the game released in 88 but basically anything William Gibson had a hand in. So, yah, it's not really a copy but a snake eating its own tail.

You can get the Lizzie (so far my fav gun) as soon as Act 2 starts... when you FIRST go to meet Judy to ask her about Evelyne it's already right there. There is another great Katana called the Scalpel it does shock damage... if memory serves it's a reward from a side mission is Kabuki.

There is another really strong weapom you can find, the Prototype Shingen Mark V ist basically Skippy without AI and its a not a Pistol but it shoots explosive rounds which is really nice

important for the 'widow maker': it can actually shoot trough walls and every sort of cover when charged and doesnt seem to drop in dps when doing so, combined with the scope which lets you see enemies through wall/covers you're basically hacking... had a really easy time playing the game on hard thanks to this lucky pick up early in the game

I finished the main quest before I got Lizzie and it's now my main gun. so much fun for bounties and assault reports; no more stealth headshots I just start hipfire blastin and everyone's on fire. I feel like judge dredd or something

7:40 actually it is the best weapon in the game, you have to craft the legendary version of it, upgrade melee skill tree and make it 100% Crit chance to almost always deal above 10k damage per hit multiple times a second (depending on what skills you acquired)

Honestly, most guns in the game had a hard time keeping up with a random legendary Overture revolver I found. With the handguns perks maxed and some Deadeye clothing mods (can be bought from a specific clothes vendor, I don't remember which one), it basically becomes impossible not to cause critical damage. Handguns are ridiculously broken. They are also ridiculously awesome. Oh, and during the heist mission you can also find Yorinobu's gun Kongou lying next to his bed. You can even see it before the mission during Evelyn's braindance of Yorinobu's penthouse.

For me, must have items are many of these but also 1) Patricia's Legendary DR12 Quasar. It has a 4x headshot multiplier and is honestly just broken af. You get it after meeting Kerry, when you go to save Nancy from Maelstrom, if both Brick and Royce are not in the picture anymore -depending on your choices in the mission way back with Jackie at All Foods. Crazy damage. Countermass weapon mod for recoil control and even Adam Smasher on harder difficulty eats it seconds. 2) The Maneuvering System plus Charge Jump legs cyberware. Most rippers have the legs but only the one in Arroyo next to the river has the other Maneuvering System. Absolute game changer. It makes it so you can jump 3 or 4 floor high buildings and fences. High jump, dodge in midair, high jump again. Essentially giving you a double high jump instead of just high jump or just double jump. Amazing for navigating over rooftops or getting to vantage points. Gives the game much more of a Mirror's Edge/superhuman parkour assassin vibe. Also really cool and useful in combat with a Kerenzikov. Super jump, aim dodge, midair slowmo headshot, follow up superjump to the next rooftop.

In my first playthrough, I got the Widow Maker without even needing any guides, but in my second playthrough, it unfortunately fell inside a pillar and clipped through the map in a way it was impossible to get and I kind of just gave up on it as I want to experiment with other weapons in this playthrough.

@@pandorasjuiceboxWhen you have to go find evelyn, after the heist mission, as you get to the basement level of the club, just off the stairs I think, you'll hear her Judy arguing with the boss of the moxes, in the ante-chamber before the data center room, and before Judy's bd room, the gun is just sat to the left hand side on a crate in that first room.

The Satori is the absolute best weapon in the game with the right build and if you get it at the beginning and consistently upgrade it every time you level up it will be over 2k dps plus the critical is just insane.

The problem is because the game flags the original item as essential, you'll end up with extra items you can't drop/stash/disassemble. Plus, Johnny's outfit costs TONS of crafting mats to upgrade all the way to Legendary.

@@davejohn255 When you get Johnny's gear, you also get schematics to upgrade; if you upgrade them, they have mod slots! If you have the credits, you can hit up some of the vendors for their legendary clothing mods and really armor up!

The Overwatch can also shoot through walls so you can clear a whole building without ever going inside as long as you know where the bad guys are, which isn't to hard since most areas have cameras you can take over to mark the new targets for your practice shooting.

Wait some days (3 for me) at your apartment that fixed the non spawn issue, however you´re near the end of Panam story, back a manual save just after Ghost Town, don´t reload the autosave game gets really glitchy.

I'm a couple of missions past ghost town, i went to the spot on the map and there isn't even a container there for the car to be in... I'm at the same spot on the map. I've been right through the tunnel 3 times it's definitely not around for me :(

Lizzy pistol can be charged but has really bad recoil, I finally got a rare no horizontal recoil so I can use it. But the gun I got has about 6 points of less damage and I'm playing on very hard difficulty, it's really not that great and does low damage. If you have point and perks in reflex and cool, it would definitely do more damage, you can also get a sneak bonus with a silencer and if you have berserk or sandevistan, one for damage and the other for slowing down time and increasing movement speed. You can head shot 2, 3 or a group before they notice you, you could add quickhacks and grenades. You could use cyberware arms and throwing knife, jump takedown or a flash bang to blind them and when time runs out you blind them again reload and shoot. Perhaps I shout try playing the game like batman...someday soon.

(THIS IS OUTDATED, SO IS A LOT OF THE VIDEO) Heads up for new players or people doing another playthrough The black caliburn only spawns at street cred 40 (it spawns whether you help panam or not, if you don't help her rogue rewards you with a free quartz bandit) The free mantis blades at the phantom cyberpsycho aren't there anymore (there will probably be an arm implant, but not of very high rarity)
I think you get a sandevista tiger paw mod (monowire is also gone)
It's a random implant, but the highest is epic/purple for whatever you find
I got the same sandy mod when I checked after 1.6, and thank you for the heads up on the car, went looking and couldn’t find it, thought I was nuts but my street cred on this new character is only 25, haven’t played since day one version.

@@ashroskell Not rly, i have a 1080, i5 8th generation i think, and 16GB RAM, and i run most of the settings on High some ultra and a few low and rarely have spikes under 50fps..., the real problem are the missing advertised features and i have 3 bugged quests that are just impossible to complete.

@@user-ck1ib6zn7b You can buy a Katana that does 2.4k damage and the overture legendary I bought does 100% crit chance and 200% crit damage with 4 mod slots. I didn't even max out crit damage modifiers and I was doing like 600k on some enemies.

One thing you maybe forgot to mention is the double jump boots which are called "Reinforced Tendons". those you can only obtain when you go to any reaperdoc in the city and buy it as a "leg" replacements for 50k ingame currency. there is no other way then this to obtain those boots, but they are Hella worth it and give you a different and more fun perspective of the game. I encountered those accidently and after trying them for a couple of hours of gameplay, I can safely say they are highly recommended and worth every penny. :D

If you get a built for katana, Satori can be the best katana in the game. The thing is most builts are mid, long range and katana is mostly used only when there is a short range enemy. 1 of every5 enemies.
@@shad3slay i respect my character into blades and things that help with them, and at level 50 with just a regular legendary katana or knife you buy at any shop, you can basically one hit everything. mix that with the kerenzikov, double jump, and maneuvering system., you’re unmatched

It's quite surprising that the "best weapon" in the game is the one that seems to be most often overlooked. It's the tranquilizer darts for your projectile launcher. The description sounds benign enough but the way it's implemented in the game means it's a 1-hit KO for any human enemies. ANY human enemies...including bosses. Granted...haven't tried it on Oda or Adam smasher yet but it works on the cyberpsychos!

1 year later... Nerfed. Doesn't one-shot anymore. Still powerful and fun to use though.
It is amazing on paper and great in regular fights, but problematic during missions. For whatever reason, enemies you down with the tranquilizer don't count as defeated.
If you can hit with it. The tranq is a short range weapon.

Lizzie, Widowmaker, and Overwatch were constant companions throughout the most of the game, with Johnny’s gun being my go-to towards the end.

After the 50 shots I got rid of it & brought them back to the girl.. I have a blueprint for a smart gun that if you fully upgrade your crafting tree you make legendary & every clothes mods etc becomes legendary, & recrafting everything again it makes it even more OP..! I play it on very hard just to have a challenge..🤦🤣

So I get 200% headshot bonus that's insane.. & playing it on Very Hard so I can get some type of challenge 🤦

Widow Maker's poison damage synergizes well with the 'bonus poison damage' perks from the Blades skill tree.
its worth noting, that "skippy" adjusts to the players level, so it might always be the best gun (headshots only cmon) and can also be upgraded with modules for extra dmg. the supercar only spawns after you got the 2nd job from panam. (finished ghost town and played some days)

I'd put the Shingen Mark V at #1. You can find it in the mission where you and Takemura infiltrate an Arasaka base to hack the float for the parade. A random email you can read on several computers mentions that someone left a nice surprise in container 667 as a thank you. That surprise (along with a live mine, be careful!) is the Shingen Mark V. It's a Smart SMG that engages 3 targets at once and fires explosive rounds. Using this against a base of enemies is hilarious. It's literally just geysers of limbs. I fired a 2 round burst at some poor ganger boss, and all that was left of him was his rump. His limbs and head had been blown off so fiercely they flew across rooftops etc.

Satori is absolutely the best weapon once your crit chance is high. With regards to level breaker weapons, any smart sniper rifle can wreck face way outside your level range.

Satori is sick man if u focus on crit damage and crit chance you can use sandevistan and clear out a whole quest area of enemies just one shotting them even on the hardest mode.

5:30 I think they fixed that. The only interactive garage door is locked, and even when I get through a window, the monowire is no longer there.

Yeah, I went there after the 1.6 update and instead of a legendary mono wire, I found a legendary night vision scope and muzzle brake.

For me the revolver that kerry gives you is the most op one specially if you're pistol build and coldblooded build. Why its better? You can attached scope and silencer and get revolver bonuses perk unlike silver hand's revolver. You can also actually evolve it into legendary status if you unlock the perk for it under crafts.
Johnny’s gun is not revolver. Pistol design plus 10 bullets.
Nashs Widowmaker is amazing!! Once I got it I just never dropped it. Just upgraded it over and over and it carried me through the game lol
Widownmaker's charged shot also can penetrate more than 1 layers of thin obstacle, make it possible to snipe enemy through walls.

I literally had to replay a 20 minute segment of a game 3 times because I thought If I did, the glitch or bugs or whatever would work itself out, but no. So I loaded the game and lost about 1.5 hours of gameplay. Plus I'm gonna have to do it all again anyway. It's super annoying
Widow maker does make a ton of dommage even at long range, while charged and in the scope there is almost no spread
Once I got Johnny's gun, I pretty much ran the rest of the game with it. You can make it as strong as it is when Johnny has it, you just have to have the right weapon mods equipped.
The way Lizzie looks is a selling point for me. I'll probably keep using it even after other drops have outclassesd it

The overture revolver is also really powerful if you have the right setup. I have a %100+ crit chance and %150+ crit damage. Plus the silencer u put on it makes it even more powerful. I get an average 15,000-22,000 per headshot

You can get the Lizzie (so far my fav gun) as soon as Act 2 starts... when you FIRST go to meet Judy to ask her about Evelyne it's already right there. There is another great Katana called the Scalpel it does shock damage... if memory serves it's a reward from a side mission is Kabuki.

There is another really strong weapom you can find, the Prototype Shingen Mark V ist basically Skippy without AI and its a not a Pistol but it shoots explosive rounds which is really nice
important for the 'widow maker': it can actually shoot trough walls and every sort of cover when charged and doesnt seem to drop in dps when doing so, combined with the scope which lets you see enemies through wall/covers you're basically hacking... had a really easy time playing the game on hard thanks to this lucky pick up early in the game

I finished the main quest before I got Lizzie and it's now my main gun. so much fun for bounties and assault reports; no more stealth headshots I just start hipfire blastin and everyone's on fire. I feel like judge dredd or something
7:40 actually it is the best weapon in the game, you have to craft the legendary version of it, upgrade melee skill tree and make it 100% Crit chance to almost always deal above 10k damage per hit multiple times a second (depending on what skills you acquired)
Honestly, most guns in the game had a hard time keeping up with a random legendary Overture revolver I found. With the handguns perks maxed and some Deadeye clothing mods (can be bought from a specific clothes vendor, I don't remember which one), it basically becomes impossible not to cause critical damage. Handguns are ridiculously broken. They are also ridiculously awesome. Oh, and during the heist mission you can also find Yorinobu's gun Kongou lying next to his bed. You can even see it before the mission during Evelyn's braindance of Yorinobu's penthouse.
If you can, you should do River Ward's quests and get Crash from him. Ridiculously overpowered revolver.
In the mission where you infiltrate an Arasaka warehouse, the route where you go under the parking lot has a treasure chest with a perk shard that gives you a free perk point.
This was a very well put together list. I expect nothing less from you guys at this point. Still, good job.
For me, must have items are many of these but also 1) Patricia's Legendary DR12 Quasar. It has a 4x headshot multiplier and is honestly just broken af. You get it after meeting Kerry, when you go to save Nancy from Maelstrom, if both Brick and Royce are not in the picture anymore -depending on your choices in the mission way back with Jackie at All Foods. Crazy damage. Countermass weapon mod for recoil control and even Adam Smasher on harder difficulty eats it seconds. 2) The Maneuvering System plus Charge Jump legs cyberware. Most rippers have the legs but only the one in Arroyo next to the river has the other Maneuvering System. Absolute game changer. It makes it so you can jump 3 or 4 floor high buildings and fences. High jump, dodge in midair, high jump again. Essentially giving you a double high jump instead of just high jump or just double jump. Amazing for navigating over rooftops or getting to vantage points. Gives the game much more of a Mirror's Edge/superhuman parkour assassin vibe. Also really cool and useful in combat with a Kerenzikov. Super jump, aim dodge, midair slowmo headshot, follow up superjump to the next rooftop.

In my first playthrough, I got the Widow Maker without even needing any guides, but in my second playthrough, it unfortunately fell inside a pillar and clipped through the map in a way it was impossible to get and I kind of just gave up on it as I want to experiment with other weapons in this playthrough.

If you upgrade satori it’s better than mantis blades, it has a 500% crit damage boost
The Satori is the absolute best weapon in the game with the right build and if you get it at the beginning and consistently upgrade it every time you level up it will be over 2k dps plus the critical is just insane.
How else can you get it if you already passed the mission? Like I just did the mission I'm where the guy about to perform on stage

All of Johnny's gear can be upgraded to a Legendary version... if you're interested.

@@FitchTV Every Iconic item can be upgraded to legendary. No changes to appearance.
The problem is because the game flags the original item as essential, you'll end up with extra items you can't drop/stash/disassemble. Plus, Johnny's outfit costs TONS of crafting mats to upgrade all the way to Legendary.
It does not add mod slots tho, so it is weak as armor. Or maybe it does but the sunglasses look like they are from the '80's
@@davejohn255 When you get Johnny's gear, you also get schematics to upgrade; if you upgrade them, they have mod slots! If you have the credits, you can hit up some of the vendors for their legendary clothing mods and really armor up!
The Overwatch can also shoot through walls so you can clear a whole building without ever going inside as long as you know where the bad guys are, which isn't to hard since most areas have cameras you can take over to mark the new targets for your practice shooting.

the best gun i've been using on my second character is the Crash revolver. I built a stealth silenced handgun build and it's an absolute monster.
I feel like no video talks about the melee animation for Silverhand's pistol... So underrated.
WARNING: Get the hyper car as soon as you finish ghost town. Ive gone far past that point and I’m not able to get the car to spawn at all.
Wait some days (3 for me) at your apartment that fixed the non spawn issue, however you´re near the end of Panam story, back a manual save just after Ghost Town, don´t reload the autosave game gets really glitchy.
I just made sure to finish Panam’s quest arc, I didn’t even fight Nash and I still have the car. Just make sure to go between 11pm-12am.

I'm a couple of missions past ghost town, i went to the spot on the map and there isn't even a container there for the car to be in... I'm at the same spot on the map. I've been right through the tunnel 3 times it's definitely not around for me :(
I tried to get it as soon as I was done with ghost town, but it wasn’t there. I waited 3 in game days (just skipped time) and it was there and there was even a marker on my map for it
I'm so glad that I got a series x and gave this game another chance. It actually turned out to be an incredible game

You missed the Silverhand's Holographic arm, which is given to the player at the end of the "Chippin' in" mission, on the allegedly tomb of Johnny, when the mission finishes, open the Backpack inventory and check the Misc items, the arm is there, marked a s junk

R Talsorian games invented the Cyberpunk genre in 1988 when they published the original Cyberpunk role playing game 🙄
Lizzy pistol can be charged but has really bad recoil, I finally got a rare no horizontal recoil so I can use it. But the gun I got has about 6 points of less damage and I'm playing on very hard difficulty, it's really not that great and does low damage. If you have point and perks in reflex and cool, it would definitely do more damage, you can also get a sneak bonus with a silencer and if you have berserk or sandevistan, one for damage and the other for slowing down time and increasing movement speed. You can head shot 2, 3 or a group before they notice you, you could add quickhacks and grenades. You could use cyberware arms and throwing knife, jump takedown or a flash bang to blind them and when time runs out you blind them again reload and shoot. Perhaps I shout try playing the game like batman...someday soon.
Just for anyone watching this in 2022. The supermarket, mantis blades, and wire aren't there anymore. Don't waste your time trying to find them.
There's also a second Skippy gun in a mansion on the hill but need the double jump in plant to get it
