Brand New 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLU Rubicon Conquers Moab

Less than 2 weeks old, we took our brand new 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLU Rubicon to Moab, Utah to further test it out offroad. Still completely stock, with the exception of just 35" tires (Cooper STT Pros), the JLU conquered the trail known as Hell's Revenge.
It crawled up inclines as steep as 47 degrees, climbed up Hell's Gate with ease, and overcame just about every hard line we put it up against.
The only issue, as you will see in the video, is a lack of clearance. So we did order a 2.5" lift and will install it sometime in the next few days (and would recommend it to anyone looking to do more difficult trails or offloading like us). For anyone wanting an extremely capable offroad vehicle right out of the box, though, 10/10 this JLU is practically unstoppable.

  • I wish my lady would've been that enthusiastic about Jeeping in Moab. We spent a day there in a 2dr rental from Cliffhanger rentals and she was basically crying the entire time while I was having the the most epic time of my life.

  • Back - way back in time! So new not even any decals! One thing never changes, "There ya go!" Amazing how capable a Stock JLU was/is. Wish I could afford one now; of course a used one five years old would probably cost me now what a new one cost five years ago! LiteBriteNationStepChildIsBorn!

  • Amen... you tell them girl. I love your cool music too. Do it while you can....hell yes. I'm disabled but I got my jeep so my son and I as well as my dog Lola can enjoy some awesome adventures. You guys certainly inspire folks for sure. I'd like nothing more then to meet you on a trail some time.

  • Looking back at some of these older videos, did you ever have a clue how big you'd become? What was your goal then? I'm working on my channel and trying to fine tune my content, I feel I'll always be learning. That's a good thing though. I've learned a lot from watching you guys. Thank you for keeping it real and bringing us on the journey. You all are amazing!

  • Nice! Nothing better than a wheeling a rig with drive out tags! Props to you guys for using the car for what it is made for! Climbed right out of Mickey’s Hot Tub and made it look like a piece of cake!!! Great persistence on a lot of those obstacles. I enjoyed watching.

  • I live in Mesa, Arizona and we have Jeeps everywhere here. Seems like Jeep capital of the world over here. We do have amazing trails and great weather also.

  • I rate this Jeep video E for epic. All those people belly aching about how the new JL is too expensive and too close in price to a Range Rover should watch this. I love Range Rovers too but with all due respect a Wrangler can do everything they can offroad (and maybe more) and will spend more time on the trail than in the shop.

  • You guys did great on hell's gate. There thing to remember on that obstacle is stay to the right and keep the jeep moving forward. When you stop it can throw your line off. Looks like a ton of fun! 🤘

Well done Kevin, you have a fantastic better half she did a great job worrying and spotting for you. You had me sitting on the edge of my seat during the long climb up Hell's Revenge. Would be nice if we had trails like this in Canada.
