Man power tools make life easier. Imagine how much longer that would have taken just using hand tools.
Yeah, I have two very old closets that have a lot of details carved by hand, can't even imagine how long they must have taken to make, and how skilled the people who made them were.
I do a lot of hand wood working, and doing a joint like this is really time consuming, but a almost air tight fit is the most satisfying thing
I don't own a single power tool not even a drill everything I make is purely done by hand built hand tools.
What part of this is a hack? Do half a second of research and just call it a double bridle woodworking joint. Clickbait = dislike + block
L+ F+ Ni No maidens + gay
A^2+B^2=C^2
X= - b+- -/(b^2-4ac)/2a
🔺️=1/2×b×h
Also known as the castle joint, I believe.
The gluing part 💀💀
LMAOO the zoom in
Lovely music
I am disappointed he didn't use his welder.
"Hack" :D not realy
As a qualified furniture maker/cabinetmaker any woodworker that knows his joinery should already know this joint
I thought you were gonna lop off the corner at the end for decoration
This is no hack! It's just the normal way to do it
For everyone that isn’t a woodworker or carpenter this is called a bridal joint.
Chisels cut smoother when sharp. There's tons of vids on KZhead how to do it.
When my boss see me do that thing using the saw blade to trim, hed be like "stop playin with the saw goddamit!!"
Some people who saw that glue dripping, i know what you guys are on about
High quality joint
tbh that’s so cool to watch
Oh, so satisfying.
I feel like I would keep the ends more proud and chamfer the edges, instead of sanding them flush
Yes but why not just cut it vertically for the second part...?
My grandfather just using a single tool called "wood carving" so easily than thoose machine 😂
Bruh your grandpa probably spent his whole life making that if he only used hand tools
It works to do it by hand, and I have a lot of respect for people like that, but don't say he did it more easily, that's a lie by definition. Also, don't say that woodcarving is a single tool, that's also a lie.
Great video thanks 😊
It’s supposed to be the art of joining things seamlessly and not requiring buffers and toddler glue lmao
My bandsaw always wants to make a bow while cutting. Table is straight Already got a wider and thicker blade ,still the same result . Any tips?
I don’t know much about much but maybe it’s a tension issue either on the blade itself or possibly the amount of pressure you are using while cutting?
Perfect 👍
I'm disappointed you didn't cut all the way along those pencil marks.
Muy bonito, ahora una escalera sin clavos, por favor
Nice joint
Just turn the saw blade at an angle There’s no need for slots
Get yourself a trenching saw. Save you time and effort 👌
Что за клей вы используете ?
Joint looks nice, but holy shit that chisel is dull
I find this video...... satisfying
Why go through the trouble of all the jointery to then use glue afterward?! The whole point is that it holds itself together through friction
Not really a hack, It's a castle joint.
Кубик Рубека!!!! Оригинально!!!!!
Looks good to me! But, you could have just used your table saw to remove the rest of the waste on that first bit of chiseling you did. It's not a major issue but would have saved time and effort.
From how tight that joint was did this really need to be glued? I could have sworn this was like a castle joint and didnt need it
Doesn't "need" it, but makes it more secured.
What's the hack? It's just simple joinery
Можно не склеивать.
Wow ❤️
Just a castle joint
Only use this for making nice crafts
The whole point of these joints are to not use glue lol
Depends on if you want it to come apart of nor
🤘
😏Dare you to make a small welding machine?
Слишком много лишних телодвижений, фрезой можно за раз пройти то что он на циркулярке выпиливал
Без струбцын нормально не склеится
How is this a hack? This is literally the correct technique if you aren't using a jointer or dado.
Ниче не понятно но интересно..
Another one ???
And what? Wooden corner?
Everything’s a “hack” now. What’s the “hack” here? It’s a joint. And you’re just gonna pretend you didn’t cut the center piece completely the wrong size???
Plz sir I need the music name
Just make Google listen to it
Midwest Diner- Frook
Plz music name🥺🥺
Found! Frook - midwest dinner
If by hack you mean the most common practice ever.... then sure you showed it properly i guess
СССР возвращается что ли, раньше наши деды делали это...
That chisel is dull asf
Могу одной стамеской это сделать.
Герой нашего времени, зделает хоть дворец одной стамеской
Very nice shoulders
Plz music name sir
It's called: Midwest diner by Frook
Клей че как не равномерно нанес. Как то не аккуратно.
Wheres the hack? That looks just as difficult if not more difficult than doing jointery in any other way, a hack implies that it's easier
N then u find out Japan has been doing this n much more by hand centuries ago
Too much work, just slap a simpson tie on it and call it good
You would get a like from me for using this joint (one if my favs), but then you called it a hack, so no like for you.
Meanwhile i can spend 5 dollars and buy 8 steel braces shaped like an L. There you go that's your hack i just saved you like a fucking hour making that stool.
Якщо є підходящий інструмент і голова варить, то можна багато чого цікавого зробити
How strong is this can it be a bed leg
It’s not the strongest but if you use enough good glue it should hold for that purpose
I think it's actually pretty common to use this joint for making a bed
合わせ方が 覚え切れない。
Круто получилось
I like doritos
Sooo...where was the hack?
A hack, a clever solution to a tricky problem, this isn't popularly known to most laypeople so as a solution to the problem of fastening boards without fasteners this really does fit the definition of a "hack" perfectly.
@@platinumsky845 no, this is a complicated, time consuming and difficult joint only done by skilled woodworkers. The very antithesis of a hack.
@@garyhager6026 hacks are clever/creative meaning they often require skilled technique or knowledge of the process such as being "done by skilled woodworkers" creative and clever means of accomplishing something, especially in an unconventional manner are also typically more complicated, and often require more significant levels of time or labor like how this example is "a complicated, time consuming and difficult joint" so yes, you're right to agree that this IS a hack. Not all hacks are like this, as creative and unique methods of accomplishing something are simply more LIKELY to require greater skill, labor, time, etc but it certainly doesn't exclude either form. I'm glad you agree with me though, thank you for explaining exactly why this example qualifies as a hack.
@@platinumsky845 no, this is in no way a hack. A hack is something that makes a task easier, faster, less complicated or cheaper. Again, this absolutely is not a hack.
what is this song
Midwest Diner - Frook
@@thegodmousegaming8602 wasnt expecting a reply 1 year later thank you lol
