  • A Croatian watching the video. I'm glad to see this man so happy and full of life when talking about our neighbours, we all have a lot in common and it just brings me joy. Pozdrav iz Hrvatske, sve najbolje i samo opušteno :)

  • Best advise for being in Serbia as a foreigner is this: If you show respect and love you will get 10x more respect and love from Serbs in return. Show disrespect and hate and you will probably bet fked up 10x worse than in any other country.

  • Serbia is amazing, you didn't say many things about Serbia and Serbs, we don't have huge storms or huge fires, tempetures are almost perfect, we don't have dangerous insects, snakes or animals in general, Christmas in Serbia is all about church and spending time with your family, all day is just so relaxing and people get along very well, we like to eat Leskovački roštilj, drink beer and rakija, we have a lot of pretty girls and pure nature, we have a big history, Novak Đoković was world champion in tennis, our scientist Nikola Tesla found electric light, and so on.. But thank you anyways, greetings from Serbia! ❤

  • I was born and raised in Serbia but have been living in the US for the past two decades. And I must say, not mixing salty and sweet really is a thing. I still can’t stand it that everything has to have extra sugar here. Peanut butter and jelly, yuck. Very accurate description of Serbs. Oh yeah we love our sports. Even though I’m an American now, I still cheer for Serbia and feel so proud when we win.

  • Everything that you have said depends on where were you living in Serbia. Northern and southern Serbia, for example, are like two different countries. From tradition to food there are big differences between this two part of Serbia. Even the language they are speaking is a little bit different. Northern parts of Serbia are more influenced by Austrians and Hungarian, and southern part by Turks. So you could roughly say that north is more civilised than south. I think that if you would taste Serbian pljeskavica somewhere in southern part of Serbia, you would think of american burger as a joke. Again on the north you have other kind of food specialties, as well as in the eastern or western part of Serbia, and that makes Serbia one of the best countries to visit for food enthusiasts (as long as they are not vegetarians, because we also eat a lot of meat). But one thing is in common for all of us, we are great hosts, and we love every guest, no matter where does it come from. And, no we don't hate any USA citizen, we hate your government because of the propaganda against Serbian people, and the fact that NATO bombed our country and killed few hundreds of civilians. They have even bombed maternity hospital. Also, they have used nuclear waste for bombing causing the number of cancer patients has jumped by over 100%.

  • One thing that he didn't mention is the importance of soups. A typical meal in Serbia always always starts with a soup. So much do that when we don't have soup we tend to ask what happened. And no we're not monsters we do eat honey with butter. While it is true that we don't eat peanutbutter and jelly that is not because we don't mix sweets and salties it's because we just don't tend to eat peanutbutter, it's pretty expensive.

  • Hi mate, nice review of Serrba thank you for putting a good word our behalf. No, we hate no nations, just no one for centuries won't live us alone because of geographical position and we are a small country. We have been in more than 100 wars, never get to rest ever. We have been stomped by Rome, we were under Turkey 500 years, for more than 2 centuries Germany won't live us alone, USA, NATO bombed us with the US support. Just an example, our pilot took down US pilot, he was saved by Serbs and now these 2 pilots are good friends can you imagine. I'll try jam and peanut butter :)

  • Might be interesting to know about the original reason behind all that loudness that's a mandatory part of a wedding celebration in Serbia (many people in Serbia don't know this, but they just do it anyway): In the ancient pagan patriarchal tradition, when a woman is getting married, she is passing from a spiritual protection of her father and ancestors, to the spiritual protection of her new husband and his ancestors. While she is passing between the two, she is for a brief time without protection, so she is vulnerable to any evil spirits/demons that may want to attack her. Making noise (shooting, banging drums, ringing bells, etc... and nowadays honking horns and shooting fireworks) serves purpose to scare the demons away (other than that, of course, it's just a spectacle, but now you know the roots).

NATO yes bomb our country (if you do research you’ll figure that it was a lot of politics around it, so much that even 30 yrs later we still have problem with Kosovo and Metohia Illegally anexd from serbia at the time.. at the time Almost all our big Allies were against us... but we blame politicians and not and never American people... serbia was in great American alliance, serbia give Nikola Tesla, Mihailo Pupin and many other great scientists, sports players (vlade divac) and military heroes that brought huge positive changes, not to US only , but all over the world... they changed the world as it is.. for ever... 🙂 we are stronger together... peace ✌🏻 and prosperity I wish to also very special on your own way, amazing American people... 🤘🏻🥰
