  • I live in Scottsdale and a couple month after watching this video, I went to this museum and it was AMAZING! If you're a musician of any sort, amateur or professional, this place is a must! I had a day off during the week so I got lunch with my mom and we went over to it for a visit and there is so much more than you see in this video. Maybe 6x as many rooms. I think their collections come and go from time to time, like maybe they have long term storage somewhere and change the exhibits because I went looking for the Tommy The Cat drums but I didn't see them. While I was in the guitar area, I was telling my mom the story of the Martin guitar smashed during the filming of The Hateful Eight when suddenly a man appears from a hallway and starts telling up more about it because it turns out he was one of the employees of the museum (curator? I forgot) and he knew someone at the Martin museum back when it happened. Just an amazing place to visit. I was there for about 3 hours and saw roughly half of it. I'll be going back for another visit in a month or so. If you live in the greater Phoenix area and haven't been here yet, WHAT ARE YA!? Get off yer rump and go there. NOw!
