  • I had used that baking soda and peroxide in the past, and lordy I thought I would never get that powdery film off my floors. What a mess I had. Thanks for the heads up on dawn and hot water.

  • Excellent video! I was literally 2 seconds from purchasing a drill brush set! Thinking what a great idea. But now....I guess it will be just get on my hands and knees with a gentle brush and see how it goes. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

    • Thanks! Yep, unfortunately they strip the sealer off of your floors. Good luck with your grout! :)

    • I watched about 5 different videos.yes baking soda will leave a powdery residue that has to be sucked up by wet mop or vacuum and powder will make it appear whiter. But they usually recommend resealing grout anyway.and some products are going to break down any sealer anyway.maybe vinegar,oxygen bleach,hydrogen peroxide,lemon juice might break down sealer anyway.i think I would rather use drill brush then scrubbing.just don't need to run over grout too much since it's way more effective than hand scrubbing.i just think it's good to reseal after all clean and dry.especially if seal is old..frankw

    • @@moniquenoverola7843 If you don't mind sealing after cleaning, then I totally get wanting to use the drill brush. Most of my house is tile, so I'd rather stick with my steam mop most of the time. Thanks for the comment!

  • I use gel toilet cleaner applied to the grout, leave for 15 to 20 minutes and then scrub with Hoover Power Dash scrubber with water and bleach

    @ncrpejxi@ncrpejxi6 ай бұрын
    • Thanks for sharing. I usually avoid bleach and things like toilet cleaner because they strip the sealer off of grout. So, I'd have to seal the grout every time I used them, or the grout would just get stained faster.

    • For the non-Brits that read this, surgical spirits are the same as 70% rubbing alcohol here. I’ll have to give your mix a try. Thanks for the tip!!
