    • He wasnt beyond Marvel comics level. His art looked exactly like someone else’s art, David Finch. With a few elements that looked weird. i also admired his art but once he stopped making those videos David Finch had just created a channel with very useful tips. And from there I discovered other incredible artists like Jim Lee. From there I didnt consider ZHC as good as I thought he was.

As others have pointed out, he aped his entire art style, wholesale, from comic artist David Finch, and it’s pretty obvious he taught himself to draw solely by looking at Dave Finch’s art. It’s impressive at a glance, but it’s all style and no substance, and the style isn’t even his. Very weak fundamentals, thinly masked by professional looking shading techniques. The dude can draw, to be sure, and to be able to imitate one of the best guys to ever do it at the age of 18 is truly impressive, but he’s still just aping one well known artist, and that’ll only take a person so far. There’s a reason he’s living the Smurf life instead of breaking into comics. He has nothing to say with his art. He’s a poser.

  • Its sad to watch this. I was never an actual fan or follower of Zach. But watching this video, it pains me to see how a young talented aspiring artist tried showing off his skill on the internet, and ultimately ended up being dragged into the dark hole of "content spew" that youtube fuels these days. Real passion for art, turnt into passion for money.

    @kynoVNs@kynoVNs11 ай бұрын
    • This is what happens when the "artists" think that art means you have to make money. None of these people would be doing it without the cash they make off of it and then we all waste our time wondering why the medium is so degenerative at this point. It's either for the passion or it's for the bag... it's never both, period. We don't need 5000 more artists to all line up and tell the same sob story about burn out for us to learn that.

    • No clue who that guy is nor the people he "fame chase" after mentioned in comments and in the video too but yeah one thing is aparant. He desperately went the typical trashpie route of spamming nonsense clickbait videos, paying for advertising and bots otherwise he would never have the watch data (numbers) he have today. The trend phase of genderism, weird attention seeking, calling upon a made up disability and related stuff is all present "oh feel sorry for me and give me money because I have bla bla bla" like it will justify all the other lies and nonsense content that he did before or after these type of "boohoo" contents. So many online did this and being exposed liars but most even contradict themselves with every video to the point that you don't even need to dig deep and investigate. I am genuenly surprised many of these don't get put into prison because they are basically scams and criminal acts. The trend and agenda feeding is present and he just tap into every trend there is far as I seen so far. Mind you all that alg is fake, aka projected and manufactured, they all collectively feeding the algorythm and it's all fake. It's not what people watch it's what people get exposed to through ads and clickbaits. At the end of day the only entity that makes huge amounts of money on this literary doing nothing is Google and corporations who monetize these all. The "content" creators do all the work and get chum change in return, hence why naively everyone with half a brain and no life will gladly start doing these for a living. So he is another sad puppet chasing vapor. Many ppl I know so did I been there in many partner programs and simply quit YEARS AGO this social media nonsense and "content creation" because actual content creators and creative people not only can't make a living but also can't even have any hobby based small communities because soon as you don't follow the "cult" you get backstabbed. It's too much wasted time and effort for nothing. It's toxic (harmful for you and others equally in billions of ways) and I leave it at that.

      @bluesetise3644@bluesetise3644 Жыл бұрын
    • @@bluesetise3644 No, it does not go away, but there are ways to prevent it from happening. Typically it occurs when your wrists are constantly at a bent position for long periods of time, so it doesn’t happen overnight. Mine occurred because of my sleep position. I use to sleep with my hands tucked and wrists bent underneath my chin. So the doctors gave me wrist splints that restrained me from bending my wrists at night. There are other ways it can occur, but that’s how I got it. There are treatments that can be done at the chiropractor to alleviate the tension. Being more aware and making sure you keep your wrist from being in a stationery bent position for long periods of time will prevent it, as well as taking breaks and resting your hands and wrists. There is also a surgery that some people get when it gets to the point where the numbing starts to occur. But the surgery is very risky so I did not want to take that chance.

  • Jazza, thank you for making this video. In my opinion, (1) ZHC has been using extremely deceptive and dishonest tactics in his content which goes beyond clickbait; often the cost of items, as per your experience, are made up in order to inflate his content. I’ve noticed that in numerous videos (2)His content has rubbed the community the wrong way for the last 2-ish years especially because he also mistreated and mislead a few of our friends in this community. He is only using people for his own benefit without giving them due credit. (3) throughout the last 2 years, he has been neglecting safety measures, socializing, travelling, and all of the stuff so many of us were sacrificing. (4) AND more! We, in the art community, love it when we see each other succeed, this is a fact. Zach wants to flex, and step on others to get there. I also have been wanting to expose a few things, but I need others’ permissions to do so. This video is done in such a caring and concerned way, and I commend you for that. You truly are still the king of this community to us Jazza because you still do represent art and this community by giving back and paving the way for us. Although I know you’re hoping he would connect with you, I’m pretty sure that he’s too absorbed in this, and this is the path he will continue on since flexing is one of his main motivator. Again, nothing is wrong with wanting money, but the deception and misleading/using people is gross. (Edit: I really can’t stop watching the custom corn bit lol)

The reason I know what a zhc video looks like is cause I watched one a lil while back and it didn't even feel art related...blech. Imma be honest too: I can see that you're really good at what you do and that you... sometimes... do your projects sub par. But, knowing that your content is actually real art related stuff and that you try to put out enough content to keep your viewers happy while still keeping the content top notch, I'm 110% ok with the projects not always being as good as I know you could make them if you spent more time on them. He was like a role model to me, but now he’s just doing giveaways and painting over expensive things as means to garner views. He may have gained subscribers but he descended due to his declining interest in art. My respect for him now is almost none.

He experiences extreme pain in both of his hands still, and has struggles with grip strength where he drops items often. No pain medicine has worked for him thus far, and he’s kept opiates at a 10 foot pole for a myriad of reasons I don’t think I’ll have to explain. The clickbait thumbnails and over-the-top challenges he would partake in wasn’t the same grounded personality he once was. I hope that this conversation Jazza has with him allows him to see how deep he’s fallen into the publicity hole that is youtube. Maybe Jazza can fish him back out. Set him back on track. • Lol 😆 it’s all about target market. ZHC target market when he started out was other beginner artists, so he started out like most other art youtubers would. Beginner artists that actively look for detail art tutorial and tips is minuscule compare to the mass audience who are looking for purely entertainment rather than actual proper boring art tutorials. He realized this along the way and made the switch and turned himself into an artist version of Mr. Beast that focuses on purely entertainment which appeal to mass market. So of course his early subscribers who sub to him for art related content will find his content unrelatable and clickbaity. He’s doing very very well with this current strat and I don’t see any reason why he would go back to making art tips and piss off his mass market audience.

I’m not a medical expert but I’ve had real experience with it. I couldn’t hold a marker for more than a couple of minutes at its worst- let alone do 24 hours or even hour-long drawing. Either he never had carpal tunnel, made a miraculous recovery, or is in on something hard so he feels nothing. This is insulting to people who actually suffer from this. I’m not saying that carpal tunnel is on a level like cancer or something life-threatening, but it is something you struggle with constantly- day and night- and it sucks.

I'm thinking more ganglion cysts, they hurt like a bitch and are incapacitating but only for like two days tops and then they leave as soon as they came, but they can come back if triggered. Drawing can be a trigger and so even then, there's no way he could pull a 24 hour-long drawing. Now, carpal tunnel? I think it's more probable he got misdiagnosed or he just straight up lied... and it's actually really hard to misdiagnose a carpal tunnel.

ZHC wasn't in any kind of brace that would restrict wrist movement which is what severe carpal tunnel needs.
