  • Years ago, a group of ladies visited our ministry offering a free service. They had colored cards similar to what is used to identify paints. Different cards were compared to the tone/color of one's skin. The determination was then made of which of the four seasons was complimentimg the skin best. One of the ladies comcluded that i am the aitumm colors. Changing leaves. Yellow. Orange. Rust. I have shirts in this description and when I wear them, i probably get 5X the everyday looks. Especially from women. It's a real thing. Colors matter. When i see a woman with black hair, wearing white and crimson or scarlet, i absolutely notice that she has my attention. As an example. Thank you Courtney.

You made this point in a previous video and it has stayed with me to the point that literally yesterday, I went through my dress casual button-down collection and pulled all shirts that didn't fit well - they were too large...six shirts to be exact! The white/black tee shirt advice landed well because that's what I already do...the crew neck vs v-neck information is interesting and I'll keep that in mind. I also relate to accessories - a simple watch or very light chain (I also wrap a string of prayer beads around my wrist sometimes because that's a part of who I am.) KEEP IT UP, SIS!! 📿🙏

  • I recently started back to a very crowded work environment from working mostly remote for the past 3 years. In our accounting department, there are 3 men and 5 women. 3 of the women are single. I am middle aged but all the women pay very close attention to what the men wear no matter what our age. They may not say anything but I can tell by the way they look at us. I wore a black Eddie Bauer pocket T shirt and jeans that fit well last week, got a lot of looks that day and could not figure out why. Courtney's advice is very important today, now I know why they were paying attention. I am a married man for several decades but these women are my colleagues and one is our Division Controller. I miss wearing my sweat pants on those remote days but life has a way of demanding we look professional especially when it is important to the women we work with daily. It is not all about attracting women, it is about impressing them with a demeanor and look they feel they can lead, follow and/or trust. As a middle aged man, I do not get the baseball hat thing but it can be good, just not at work for me. A great collection of self winding watches with classy faces is my best choice for middle aged men to catch the eye.

  • As a guy in his 50's I don't only recommend the oxford shirt, but I recommend getting them custom made. There are plenty of tailors who can do this, and when you where it you will feel and see the difference. You can pick the fabric, collar, buttons and it will be sized perfectly. I would recommend for casual oxford the non tuck in look is better, and for more formal the tuck in works better. I have custom shirts for every season. My favorite is flannel for winter in NYC. And yes, roll up the sleeves!!

    @jd1719@jd17192 ай бұрын
    • Same here. Fitted button downs are game changers. Any decent tailor can alter any shirt you already have. Most commonly, they will taper it in as it goes down, which helps accentuate the V-taper you have or are working towards.

I love an ideal Lady who's nowadays a borderline imaginary chick with brains and beauty who is kind , accountable for their actions and words and doesn't hate people 😭💔. I really respect Courtney Ryan for at least trying to help Men and Women out in promoting healthy relationships, positive mindsets and growth in individuals AMEN 🙏 ❤️. I'm a 24 year old Christian virgin guy working as a teacher and counselor so yeah I see unhealthy relationships in parents and people all of the time despite being single because I'm alone in DA ZONE 😂. I've been watching Courtney's videos since 2020 so this lady's channel is really helpful especially on KZhead and social media. This has nothing to do with the video but please listen if you want to otherwise leave it alone and ignore it. Hello my name is Justin and I'm a fellow Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college graduate. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't. I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict. Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers. Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of macro Evolutionary biology whereas I accept micro Evolution like speciation and adaptation but not macro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word. Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. I don't mean this is any condescending manner but if you'd like to discuss The Scriptures with me or have me listen to your view on anything my instagram account is Savage Christian Kombatant

      @dzakisuda@dzakisuda2 ай бұрын
    • I strongly disagree with the wearing of ball caps, especially a logo ballcap. It's clearly a down-market look, and typically either used by young men who didn't take the time to wash their hair, or older men who are trying to hide a loss of hair up top. as a 50+ man, i've only just started wearing a hat in the wintertime to keep my head warm, as cold-shock will reduce blood flow to hair follicles, speeding up hairloss. Wearing a hat also blocks sun exposure (near infrared light) which also contributes to loss of hair. A smart, non-logo cap or headgear is different and gives a man a more mature look, esp. if it's color-co-ordinated with part of your outfit (such as your pants)---that looks smart. Wearing a logo baseball-cap, sorry I don't care who was interviewed for this survey, that's a complete non-starter if you're trying to improve your dress and overall look.

I used to wear baseball hats all the time because I was too lazy to do my hair but in the last 10 years or so I rarely wear one. • Ladies have commented on my shoes, so I've learned to pay closer attention to them and my socks - Shoes: Just classic, basic leather (black/brown) lace up or oxfords - keep clean and a little polished and buffed. Also, CLEAN white shoes (My first pair of Sketchers - it felt very strange at first, but it received a lot of very positive comments). The last part of the shoe thing is the length of my pants - making sure they have a slight break (suit) or no/almost no break (jeans) - if someone is looking at your shoes they will notice poorly fit pants (length) right above them. Also, my fingernails - Ladies comment and observe men's hands, as Courtney said, so keeping nails trimmed and clean has received complements. I think this is especially important when wearing a ring or watch that draws an observer's eye to those areas.

I'm just curious: Is an elegant demeanor in a man a negative or a positive in a woman's eyes? For instance, in my opinion, "backward hat" guy is usually a bit obnoxious. (I venture to say that your husband does not, and has never worn a backwards hat). Anyway, thanks for what you do... you're an inspiration! Keep up the loveliness!

  • Agree about proportion being highly attractive on men and women. For a woman's outfit that I find very attractive, a clean non-ripped slim fitted medium to lighter blue pair of jeans with a white fitted but modest top that exposes some arm and a little neckline with a thin necklace and pendant. This works well regardless of hair color as long as it's natural...no anime colors. I would say medium and long hair length would be best with this outfit but short hair can work too if the styling is on point. Minimal to no makeup. I find most guy friends of mine agree with me (a guy) that women as a group where way too much makeup that masks instead of enhances. Shoes - stop with the ankle breaking heels. If you can't walk, whine because your feet hurt, or we can't spend the day together getting things done...don't wear them. A flat shoe, small heel, boot, or plain sneaker is perfect with this outfit.

It might just be putting one on and going for a drink at an upscale bar, or a local museum is doing a special exhibit on a Friday or Saturday night. A couple benefits of this is I am more comfortable wearing a suit, also i find i have more confidence approaching women and women seem more receptive to being approached.

  • On the subject of T-shirts, I'd like to offer 2 or 3 observations that may explain some of the differences between men's and women's responses: 1) A lot of style-conscious men these days are being advised by experts to wear V-neck T-shirts *under their dress shirts*, so that the tee won't show when they ubndo a button or two. This advice may have convinced many of us that it's the only style of tee that we should own, while women are probably thinking of a hunky man dressed in a T-shirt without an overshirt. 2) Regarding T-shirt color, there's also some advice going around about wearing black or even grey T-shirts under dress shirts, because they are actually less visible through the outer shirt. For this reason, I might ask the ladies to give grey a chance, while it might actually persuade me to avoid white. Going back to point #1, it might also be noted that a V-neck undershirt might prevent with the "layered look" that the ladies endorse, which might also influence their thinking. (Me, I stick to crew-necks, visible or no.)

I also like when wear baseball caps and a nice looking pair of sunglasses when needed. Note sunglasses are not needed indoors or at night time. lol.

I bought a really nice, manly fragrance and I noticed that some women linger just a little longer than usual. I’ve even had women directly compliment me by saying I smell great! Last thing, and alluded to in your video, fragrance should never mask bad hygiene. It should highlight a proper wardrobe on the outside and a gentlemanly nature inside. 😊

  • Men said they like V-neck T's? Weird. V-neck sweater maybe, you can wear it over a crew neck tee. I was in the Navy when they changed the working uniform and it required a V-neck Tee. So we had to have one set of crew T's to wear out of uniform and V-necks for in uniform. It was highly resented. I have nothing for V-neck T's. But I would like to know why only black and white T's though? I have several colors. I mix and match them with sun sleeves to get high contrast and visibility for on the bike. I bought 2 watches 3 years ago because I thought they were attractive but have never worn either of them. I'll have to make a point of it and dig them out. I really like your dress. Ebony and Ivory (sorta). It works. And fits just right.

On the other hand, there is one thing that I will never understand: how can a man say that he has no opportunity to wear a suit... That's ridiculous, we all go to a bar, we all go to a restaurant...you don't have to wear the full suit but the jacket with a t-shirt and jeans to go for a drink with friends is perfect, or the pants with a sweater or a shirt, or even the full suit with a t-shirt and more relaxed shoes, it's excellent... And if people live in hot countries there is always the linen suit.... That's my opinion and my girlfriend thinks exactly the same....!!!

  • When you make your shirts you must make the arms a bit wider soo you can roll the arms. If it normal with a slitt it should work, but you can't do it if arms are to fitted. Use a sportsjacket on your shirts when not rolled! Iron your shirt and use the spray it's like $3 a can. Have 2-3 suits, one is dangerus. You have to were them regulary, otherwise it will not fit you when you realy NEED one, and sometimes you got to wash them. Watch out for sales if you like your suit and buy an aditionall pair of pants, if they are one size to big it is ok, they are in reserve, if you put on some weight, or the pants get broken, then you could have a tailor fix your other pair. If it is a supersale maybe another jacket (could be other style like dubbelbrested) and then buy 2 extra pants. Then you are set, if a jacket breaks, you got an extra with two pants in right size, that you know you like, it could be your goto suit outfit. But you should then have like 2 moore, and a few versetile sportsjackets. Then I would say 90% of guys will never need moore. I am not saying you should run around in suites all the time, this is kind of unusual and not cool. But one suit is not realy enough because YOU WAN'T TO USE IT REGULARY! If you only got one suit, and you never were it you will feel uncomterble in the clodes, you don't know what you like and what works. You are going to notis that it dosn't fitt anymoore, or it is dirty or broken, panick! If you use it moore you might know what shirts work, what pocketsquere to complement with, and that your shoegame need to step up. Dirty black tennissneakers is better then barefoot 🦶🏼 but you should probably put in some effort here as well. Quality belt that match and soccs. If you never were you suit Your accesories won't match as well and look off. Or you will were your brand tagg on the sleve, or dont relese the seams 🧵, it just don't look comfortable.

  • Hi Mrs. Ryan. I enjoyed your video very much. I wanted to know where I might stand in how I look to the average woman these days. I am glad to find out that my style fits into a lot of the categories that you mentioned in this video. I was very shocked about the T-Shirts. That is an area that I found amazing to find out that a lot of women like that look. I hang out with my best friend a lot and she is an extremely fashionable woman with a wonderful personality. I have known her for about twenty years now and she is always getting compliments from women of all ages, practically every day and several times a day. I had, (wanted) to get my wardrobe together to just compliment what ever she might be wearing when we go out to dancing, which is every week &. sometimes all weekend long, shopping, going to dinner, concerts, other affairs that pop up. I very rarely ever see her in the same thing twice and she was just a former Hair Stylist that had owned her own salon. Oh, she is my best friend too. She has never put any pressure on me for what I wear. She only tells me what to wear when we go out to formal affairs. That is when she wants me to match her gown for the evening. I have learned a lot from her but, I was very interested in what other women like in men’s fashion. Thank you for making this video and helping me gage what I think that some women might be thinking about my attire. This was a most informative video. I’ve learn a lot today. Oh, I wanted to mention that my best friend is 72 years old and I am almost 70 years old and we actually dress like we think we are very young people & we are still having fun every day. We both still dress rather well and I am still learning how to dress. I wish you continued success with all of your videos and I also wish you continued success financially as well. Thank again you for making this video and have a wonderful day and weekend. Oh, one last thing I would love to know if you have made a video on the top colognes that women like for different seasons? This is something that I am very interested in knowing about. I love colognes I don’t feel right when I go out, if I don’t have on some type of cologne. I’ve been like that since I was a teenager. Have a great day.

The blazer can be summer-fresh or winter-heavy. Chinos go all around the year. Dessert boots, Chelsea boots or simple sneakers. Get multiple of them eventually and you can look amazing. And it is super simple!!!

What different details matter? As a guy in a power chair, I wear pants that would be a bit too long if you were standing in them because they rest on the top of my shoes. I like that look as opposed to getting pants at the appropriate length for standing, then having them ride up the entire time I'm in my chair. Thoughts?

I could be wrong, but I assume tailors generally are for smart/work wear and suits and that they're quite expensive, but what about just normal everyday clothes? I recently bought some T-shirts that I thought looked ok in the store, but once I got them home, I realised that the necks were a bit too big and they go a bit floppy.
