  • The Brighton model ! The media love a good story and to pedal it. However, there are loads of examples of clubs like Brighton doing well for a while, finding good players and having a run of 3 or 4 good seasons in the Premier League. But, they'll be picked apart given time by the elite clubs. Players, managers will all move on and Brighton will slip down to mid table or bottom half. Fans just need to enjoy the ride as their model is not really different to any of the clubs that trod that path before them. Good luck to them though.

RDZ did not have to change the way we played, we do not have the ability to see an alternat future, but it is very possible Brighton would have qualified for Europe if Potter had stayed put. As for the Idiot @mathewParker-by4nx who says Brighton will get relegated; they have been saying that for 7 years and we have only gotten stronger. They know nothing on how Brighton as a club is run. Brighton fans do not want RDZ to leave, but we do not want him bad mouthing Tony Bloom. Tony Bloom is a Brighton fan and has taken the club from League one to European competition. He also has a big share in Belgian club, Union Saint-Gilloise taking them from the Belgian 2nd division to 7 points clear at the top of Belgian First Division A for the first time in 48 years. • Darragh is correct. A s a Brighton supporter. Mr Bloom has a clear buisness plan. Top ten and established for now. Anything else a bonus. I love Mr De Zerbi, but will wish him well when he goes. I think he'll need it with a big club. Bayern Munich be his best bet to me if jhe sods off.

  • De Zerbi is manager who does well initially at clubs where he is new and tends to fade like this season. Yes I'm sure there can many reasons why Brighton not as good this season but everyone was making it out like De Zerbi is a messiah. Bayern have turned into a joke club so who knows who they will appoint but maybe they must look from within.

  • Brighton will never win a trophy let’s get real. Their future will be what happened to Southampton, they will eventually run out of luck buying players and get relegated. I admire what they are doing but let’s have some realism here. They aren’t a big club and haven’t got the real financial backing needed like a City or Newcastle to eventually become a big club.

  • "Go and win something..."? Who can win trophies with Brighton? Not only his club lost two of their best players to Liverpool and Chelsea but also he's had injuries to players like Mitoma. In Italy he also managed a mid-table team with a small budget, how was he supposed to win trophies there?
