Sometimes fans don’t realise how good a Manager is until he leaves. Regardless of his future, he has made Brighton one of the most feared teams in the Premier outside the top 6.
Brighton were already there, their last manager went to a big job and failed.
POTTER DID THAT.
Potter done all the hard work.
That 4-0 loss to Roma was a red flag about his coaching. Liverpool beware.
Brighton finished in the top six you plumb.
People overlook the fact he just won the league with Shakhtar and was in the champions league before the Russia invasion. He already has a decent reputation around Europe.
He didn't win the league it was cancelled with them level on points with dynamo Kiev, he also picked up 1 point in his 6 champions league group stage games, he's good but he's not yet the world class manager some people think he is.
Only won things in Romania. People need to chill and stop overeating him. If you think he's gonna smash it at some big club right now good luck to you 😂

I don't rate de Zerbi mainly due to other people overrating him, at the start of the season people were saying he was going to a big 6 club to revolutionise football and be one of the best the PL has ever seen etc, when in reality Brighton lost all their best players at the start of the season and struggled with injuries and Europe, they're still punching above their weight
If Brighton have lost all players etc and they still punching above weight, would that not imply that De Zerbi is doing a really good job and deserves the praise????

Over rated? Yes a bit. But all the more reason to keep your name in the hat when you're being linked with a massive job. How many people have jobs with a CV floating around online? If his response ventured into the realm of disrespectful to Brighton, I'd be commenting with criticism of that but I don't think he has been.

i dont agree with his point de zerbi is a very ambitious coach and Brighton pocketed around 180mil between January of last year and the summer transfer windows... they went into the season knowing they have extra games this season and they still bought players with potential to add to the squad.. of course de zerbi gonna feel let down..
Since taking over he's lost Trossard, Mac Allister, Caicedo, Sanchez and had a fair few injuries and yet they finished 6th last season and are only 6 points from 6th place this season .....hes doing an amazing job
all correct apart from he "lost" Sanchez. He couldn't get rid of him quickly enough, he's an awful, awful goalkeeper and was rightly bombed out of the team as soon as de zerbi came in.
The people claiming that he’s on the same level as potter are clueless. I’m not trying to make Potter out as a bad manager but De Zerbi is leagues ahead of him.

The Brighton model ! The media love a good story and to pedal it. However, there are loads of examples of clubs like Brighton doing well for a while, finding good players and having a run of 3 or 4 good seasons in the Premier League. But, they'll be picked apart given time by the elite clubs. Players, managers will all move on and Brighton will slip down to mid table or bottom half. Fans just need to enjoy the ride as their model is not really different to any of the clubs that trod that path before them. Good luck to them though.

Best crop of youngsters for a long time, easy routes to the latter stages of the three previous tournaments and a reduction in quality of most of the other national squads. The previous decades saw Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Argentina, Brazil and other squads full of world class players. What Southgate does seem to have done is rid the national side of the club cliques which blighted the previous squads England had. Why this was ever a thing I don’t know. Perhaps those former players didn’t want to play for England?

Doesn't have a plan b. Perseveres with plating it out when opposition is pressing, winning the ball and scoring. Also huge amount of injuries and the club needs to find out why.

Brighton have a unique system of seeking good coaches as well as young talented footballers. They have broken the record for the largest post tax profits and are solvent. If RDZ goes there will be a replacement. Its all about the club not the staff.

RDZ did not have to change the way we played, we do not have the ability to see an alternat future, but it is very possible Brighton would have qualified for Europe if Potter had stayed put. DeZerbi had on average 7 first team players injured per game, 3of his best players departed and he is forced to play a bunch of teenagers and people are still complaining. After playing more games from last year this year After all that should be actually considering a better one. This guys who is complaining about DeZerbi doesn't know what he is saying.
