Welcome back fight fans, to Boxing After Dark! Tonight, we rewind the clock to 1975. In the aftermath of the legendary "Rumble in the Jungle," a broken George Foreman seeks redemption. Dethroned by the great Muhammad Ali, Big George needs to make a statement. And what better way to do that than challenge not one, but five opponents, all in a single night!
Missed opportunity for him to fight 4 guys. He could then call it “Foreman VS 4 men”
Missed opportunity for him to fight 4 skinheads. Then it could be "Foreman Vs 4 skins"
The real Foreman vs Four real men, for real!
Missed opportunity for him to fight 4 bellhops. He could then call it "Foreman VS 4 Doormen"
Maybe you want to change his last name to Fiveman
I did something similar to this in the late 80's. Glass Joe, Von Kaiser, Piston Honda, and Don Flamenco went down without much resistance. King Hippo proved a slightly stiffer test, but in the end he also succumbed to my star punch.
underrated comment!!!

God I loved Mike Tyson's punch-out!
little mac that u??
I'm so glad Foreman got his redemption. Not only as a boxer but as a person
Not that serious
wtf @@Optim40
Agreed. The rarest evolution of a public figure, since maybe his inspiration Paul from the Big Book… though I am an atheist. Lovely summation by the narrator too.
Foreman got his redemption when he knocked out Michael Moorer at 45 to win the heavy tittle in Nov. of 1994
Staged
"There's no shutting up Ali at this point." Seriously 😆
Aww another weak man over here.
Trash Talking 101 ...
@@CP-kb1du wtf
"This point" being the latter half of the 20th century.
If Ali had fought Foreman the second time, Foreman would knock him out. He wouldn't be buying into the rope a dope crap.
This was hysterical! These guys would never be mistaken for top fighters, but to get in the ring with Big George takes some serious guts!
George looked mean and unapproachable when he had hair. When George went bald he looked a lot nicer and kind hearted.
Finding religion probably had something to do with it too.
@@synchc Fuck Religion
Extremely huggable bald !!😊
Well the George Foreman grill and ads are a contributing factor in that.
..and a multi millionaire & back into the ring, a champion again.
Feel so privileged to have lived while Ali was in his prime...memories off watching a tiny black and white TV with my late Dad come flooding back .
Big George wanted to get noticed . After all this boxing circus took place decades ago but here we are making comments about it. Big George has proved he was a great young and old heavyweight. He’s even a highly successful entrepreneur. Fab grill cook delicious burgers. Well done a George you showed other boxers their is life before during and after boxing.
He had no choice with the Grills.. his financial guy .cant think of his name screwed him hard.. left George straight broke..
I love Ali obviously but Foreman overcoming the huge loss to Ali and becoming the most humble loveable man surely makes him the greatest imo
I could tell by the 3rd fight.... This guy can sell some grills
Too funny! 😁😁😁😁
seahwaks should have ran the ball
This was the most WWE boxing event in history
Tyson , Paul
Ali is hilarious. He was talking trash the whole time and cheering for the opponent 😂😂
Never seen this hilarious wow glad this randomly popped up 😂
Same, it's literally just popped up on my feed, I'm a boxing fan and try to keep as up to date as possible but have never seen or heard of this before lol, When the 2nd guy and George went at it again the commentary blamed George but he only sort of give him a well done jab in the abdomen, it was the other guy that started swinging for him and got his ars3 handed back to him again from George 😂😂😂😂
Same here!
Ali took his trash talking beyond 'hyping a fight' on more than one occasion. - He harassed Sonny Liston at his own home. - Treated Frazier shamelessly - Encouraged the crowd in Kinshasa to chant 'Ali, Kill him' I have no doubt Ali's gloating contributed to Foreman's post-fight depression. Of course, he has subsequently found faith and forgiven Ali. Ali was a great athlete but he was not always a great sportsman.
Ali drank his own kool-aid and thought he was invincible. He didn’t give foreman a rematch. His behaviour was awful. He was not a humble champion. He faced the undefeated champion and lost miserably: Time.
Considering Frazier helped get Ali reinstated into boxing after Ali refused to go to Vietnam and then he had the nerve to call Frazier an "Uncle Tom" repeatedly before they fought each other. Everyone forgets that side of Ali.
Ali said he was talking shit and playing the crowd so they could all make big money.
Frazier should have a statue in Philly not fictitious boxer "Rocky Balboa". Something is wrong with that picture.
George is one of the most loved Boxers of all time. Hands down.
I saw this on TV in 1975, I'll never forget it and I never wanted to miss it because of Jerry Judge. He went to Father Judge High School in Northeast Philadelphia. I was there in 9th and 10th grade and Judge had a big reputation, he fought all the time and mostly I can remember him sucker punching people but when he suckered people it was over. Not to mention he went out for football one year and made all Catholic as a wide receiver. He eventually became the police commissioner for Bensalem police department in Bucks County PA.
Foreman was a beast. Who now a days can take on five fighters in one night.
Last i can remember not boxing but still •K1 Pride 90's nd 2000's in Japan best 8 martial art fighter in one night
@Mr_Muscollo_Dalmatian who that
I remember in the early days of mma they would have those guys have multiple fight s a night. It was wild.
I’ve spoke about this night for years but never seen some of this footage. Great piece of work and loved the time line edit 💪
Foreman was a wild man back in the day! Got a lot of love for George
I saw this debacle…but it was a classic debacle👍! Thanks for posting it👍!
My respects to George. After been an angry young men, then he became a lovely outspoken guy. I bet finding God definitely changed his life.

Foreman-Polite is my absolute favorite of all time, pure comedy gold. Love All's commentary
😂😂 Ali living in George's head rent free till this day🎉
Shout out in memory of The Greatest. The one and only. RIP sir and MUCH Respec.
foreman is still alive am sure but fury might be better now
Loved to watch Ali and George fight and their other fights! They are a couple of the Greatest Fighters in History!
You just can’t help but to love George! He is still my all time favorite in, and out of the ring!
I can help it. Coward: every opponent is small, old, incompetent, or all of the above.
Still 5 boxers
People throw around the term “cans” all the time to belittle certain boxers, but anybody fighting 5 guys in one sitting is going to have a difficult time. This is a Herculean feat and only someone like Foreman could have accomplished this!
The American press called this "Boxings night of shame".. And in all honesty they were right.
Omg....are you gonna cry about that ? 😂
"Ole george was nearly 4 stone heaver than those 5 clowns, ali was hamming it up as well..Forman embarrassed himself, the public saw though it, and the press rightfully panned it. Mr forman take a bow 🤡
Some of these dudes wasn’t cans
Alis injury was a blessing after listening to him all through this
If you read the comments you'll see Ali is still winding people up decades later 😂😂😂😂
And Ali wouldn’t have wanted it any different, miss him so much.
I don't miss nothing about him. The fact that he called Joe Frazier's son to apologize to him, rather than apologize to Joe himself, tells you what you need to know
Listen up. I flew with Ali to Chicago in '78 I watched this fight. This was everyday tv back then. Kurt Angle
Ali was beautiful. There'll never be another champion like him.
This was a fun reminder of the good ol days of sportsmanship
Ali would never give a rematch to big George But in reality Losing to Ali was actually the best thing to happen to George
Before watching ppl need to remember this done this way by design having Ali as ring side commentator. He’s insufferable and this video doesn’t even include the worst parts haha not by a mile. George was building for the Ali rematch and this was meant to get more hype going. All things considered, Ali probably could have been a lot worse but he ended up getting invested into the fights by #4 1:02 not relevant to the video but just to clarify, Tim Tomashek wasn’t “random”. He knew Tommy’s family and was slick little club journeyman in his own right and was the official backup for the fight. He just didn’t expect to get called up lol
I'll give you a better one if you haven't heard it. Jose Torres was making a comeback after retiring at MSG. His opponent didn't show up for this "main event". Charlie Green was in the audience eating hot dogs and drinking a beer with his girlfriend as a spectator. They asked Charlie to suit up and he did and put Jose down 2x in the first round. Class prevailed as Torres came back in the second to KO Charlie but the bout got charlie another main event at MSG against Floyd patterson.
Tomashek also put down a few beers before that fight with Morrison
😂 “lay on the ropes” has to be the greatest corner advice I’ve ever heard
"Do what i tell you Charlie, I'm the expert" had me dying of laughter
@@BoxingAfterDark 😂😂😂 yeah, what a man ❤️
“He’ll whoop these 5 men but won’t whoop 1 me” 😂😂😂
Ali was like kryptonite to Foreman. He had the edge.
Jerry Judge be looking like James Buckley in White Gold 💀
Not just the most embarrassing day in Foreman's career but one of the most embarrassing days in all of boxing.
Last dude took sum big hits square on the chin n from Foreman too, kudos!!
Ali’s commentary was golden 😂😂😂
An Ali/Foreman- Don King promotional stunt. George could easily have knocked any of the five out in under a minute in the first round with only body shots.
Big George Foreman was really Big as a Great Boxer (One of Best HEAVYWEIGHTS EVER) and , also , Big in Life . He 's a great Human Being , Priest . And he's still THE OLDEST WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP IN BOXING !
Nice finishing statement. Very nice.
I'd like to see a fight, a cómic, Ali and Foreman vs all the heavyweight Champions at the same time!
LMMFAO @2:21, poor dude holding the heavy bag for Foreman head is taking an absolute ass kickin. . . . Foreman never needed to hit you clean, the kinetic energy alone fuckin destroyed dudes!
I always liked watching Ali against the undefeated Howard Cosel.
I love Ali but he was sooo annoying that night 😭💀
bro he gotta motivate the fighters lol. Imagine Muhammad Ali as your coach while fighting foreman. They listened to his words every time if you watch.
Ali had a history of annoying behaviour but good looks and being black at this time made the narrative
@@merseyian It wasnt annoying. Its you new boys being so weak in life.
Another weak boy 🍼
Bro quit crying in life.
These bouts are not included in Foreman's Boxrec page. Were they not officially sanctioned?
Big George is one of rare survivor of this gold era. HE WALK WITH LEGACY OF ALI..FRAZIER..LISTON.... ETC... actually HE HIS THE GOD OF BOXING....NO CONTEST
Much respect from your Latino Brethren out here in AriZona.
Foreman, then the world heavyweight champion, was a heavy favorite to beat Ali, the former champion. But Ali deflected or absorbed Foreman's punches as he leaned against the ropes, allowing Foreman to tire himself out in the tropical heat. He knocked Foreman out in the eighth round for the title. But Foreman, now 58, says something else tired him. In his memoirs he says before the fight, his trainer gave him something to drink that tasted like medicine. "I almost spit it out ... [I told my trainer] 'Man, I know this water has medicine in it,'" Foreman wrote. "I climbed into the ring with that medicinal taste still lingering in my mouth." "After the third round, I was as tired as if I had fought 15 rounds. What's going on here? Did someone slip a drug in my water?" he wrote.
He also had other excuses, like the ropes being too loose, allowing Ali to pull further back to slip punches. Now, you didn't expect Foreman to accept defeat gracefully, did you?
@@NilezII your supposition has no facts - - - Ali famously called Foreman "a Belgian" in Zaire, branding him the enemy in a country ruled by Belgium from 1908 to 1960. His longtime business manager, Gene Kilroy, said he was involved in the scheme. Although Ali was married to his second wife at the time, he married Veronica Porche in a private religious ceremony at Ali's villa in Zaire a week before the fight. Eight days before the scheduled bout, Foreman suffered a cut over his right eye during a sparring session. Bob Goodman, It was Mandunga Bula, a Zaire minister who was the government official supervising the fight. George Foreman's been cut and I'm going to have to reach Don King … to get together and seeing about postponing the fight. During negotiations before the fight, Foreman said, King promised him $500,000 on top of the guaranteed $5 million. At the time of the cut, the $5 million was secured in a bank and due Foreman upon completion of the fight. But he said he had yet to see the $500,000 and realized he suddenly had leverage. "I told (King) if I didn't get my money, my half million dollars, there was not going to be a fight," said Foreman, adding that panicked government officials met with him and King then told him his money could be picked up in London. King said he didn't recall the events Foreman described, but that he would not dispute the story.
@@NilezII BUT DO EPP UP THE POMPOUS CRT babble .... always amusing - - - A History of Don King's Moments ^^^^ 1. Shoots a Man in the Back , when Don King worked as a numbers runner and went by "Donald the Kid" he ran an illegal gambling house in Cleveland. When he walked in on Hillary Brown allegedly robbing the joint, he gunned him down with a Russian revolver. 2. Gets Convicted of Second Degree Murder, When, according to King, one of his employees "ran off with (some) money," King pistol-whipped him and stomped him to death outside a bar in Cleveland. The employee owed $600 and his purported last words were, "I'll give you the money, Don." 3. Steals From a Hospital, Don King organized a charity boxing match featuring Muhammad Ali to benefit Forest City Hospital, an underfunded care center outside King's hometown of Cleveland. On the surface it sounds like a pretty proud moment for the boxing promoter, until you look at the books. On an episode of the ESPN's series SportsCentury Don Elbaum, a fellow boxing promoter, alleged that of the $85K the event made in ticket sales, the hospital received $1500. 4. The Ring Magazine Scandal, In the wake of the '76 U.S. Olympic team winning five gold medals, Don King pitched ABC on the idea of a televised national boxing tournament. In order to bolster the prestige of his event, King allegedly paid The Ring Magazine (an authority on boxing at the time) to falsify the track records and rankings of tournament participants. The controversial tournament became toxic when one of the tournament fighters informed the media that the tournament was rigged for those who had contractual ties to King. He'd go on to explain that he was told he'd lost his next fight before arriving to the venue. More boxers would come forward with allegations of payoffs, leading ABC to cancel the tournament.
@jryecart8017 From what I've heard, read and watched over the years, that entire event was a total sh*t show from the start. I wouldn't put it past Don King or any of his people to pull a stunt like that. Besides, who wants to watch some big mouth jerkoff leaning against the ropes for round after round? Borrrinnnng...
That sounds like something Don King would do. In fact, it sounds exactly like something that con man race baiting hustler would do.
Later on in life, foreman started challenging 5 Guys, the restaurant.
George Foreman is great and he always will be. That is all.
Foreman giving 5 people in 1 night a grilling 😂
LOL! Good one! 😁
Two great fighters. A rematch would have been a war.
George Foreman grilled 4 men
Imagine this happening now - it would be brilliant!
"Come on, i can take all five of you guys" George Foreman. Hey, he said it.
George Foreman the real goat of boxing.
Sidenote, that ref should of just let it go...his hair done 🤣
Foreman with hair - terrifying and uncompromising, without humour. Without hair and late career. Kind, jovial and generous to others. A nd impossible to beat.
Ali is hilarious. He made the whole spectacle worth it. Racists hated it.
Several opponents Ali wouldn't stand toe to toe and box' rather dance around the ring avoiding and taunting them wearing them down chasing him was his tactic.
Foreman is the toughest guy in the entire history of boxing . The man blocks punches with his face for 12 rounds against Shannon Briggs , outlands him . And giving Briggs a beating . Briggs is recordholder for most round 1 KO'S in boxing history 💀💀💀
This so funny...but have to admit foreman made some head shake...he made Ali,s head shake...but I have respect for both
Hardest line ever he might whoop these five man but he won’t whoop one me
Looks like Rocky the movie is made based on forman the way he takes punches without covering his face...
Jesus, what a spectacle!
i've watched a few boxers. i've never seen anyone hit like george foreman. he's the only man i've seen hit THRU an opponents' guard (uplifted gloves). he could make his opponent hit himself in the face with his own glove. he was just brute strength.
George told me that even though he hated Ali at this time that eventually Ali would become his best friend.
Tks and thumbs up, of course!

I saw this back then here in Canada
Exactly 49 years ago today these fights happened
Just think if ALI and MIKE had a Boxing Match it would of never ended . . R.I.P ALI
I assume by MIKE, you're talking about Mike Tyson. A fight between him and Ali (both in their prime), I think, could go either way, but either way, it would probably be one-sided.
