Thanks, great review. I love this laptop. I do find the fans mildly annoying though when they're on - the minimum speed is about 2500rpm (any lower and they're off entirely, even in manual mode) and are a bit irritating at that speed when doing quiet activities eg word processing.

Very good price and value! I have a same gaming laptop (2022) version. Very good. The cooling system is upgraded. My graph set is FHD/60 fps (24/7) and only 60-65 celsius with cooling pad. The A17 is a very good choice! Little upgrade: 1TB SSD this year, and perfect.

@HardwareSense Thanks for the video. I think this is the ONLY video on KZhead regarding this specific Walmart deal. I was able to pick it up for $849.99 on Cyber Monday. So far so good. My son loves it so far. I removed the bloatware and changed some Windows 11 settings. Lastly in the MyASUS app I set the battery to only charge up to 60% since it's primarily a gaming laptop and will be plugged in probably all the time. Despite some others talking bad about this laptop and especially the MediaTek WiFi card, I don't know what they are talking about. This ASUS TUF Gaming A17 laptop for $849.99 at Walmart was a AWESOME deal for my son's needs plus I got the 3 year Allstate Warranty for an additional $88. PS: I may add a 1TB or 2TB SSD later if I find a super deal but that is it. Happy Holidays!

you can aucutually take these to 64 gigs of ram and in DDR5 you might even get to use 128 gig of ram as well but for sure 64 gigs ASUS even said with my f17 that has DDR4 that it maxed at 32 but other infor lead me to try 64 and it takes is perfect and addresss all 64 gigs now my processor does accept 128 gigs how ever i cant seem to fine 2 64 gigs sticks of DDR4 so i susupect ill need a better laptop with DDR5 for that..

I just chatted with Asus support agent that told me the max hard drive is 1 TB per m.2 slot and that greater could crash the computer. I don't know enough about computers and the agent didn't seem to either, but I believe you added a 2 TB drive in this video and wondering if you could explain or speculate. Also, you mentioned 32 GB possible on the RAM but the website shows "up to 24 GB". I'm confused. Also, could you share the motherboard model #? Thanks.
Are you sure you are talking about the same model, this one has 2 ram slots and it can be updated to 2x16GB

I have had a nightmare with my A17, would stay away, Blue screen a month after the warranty ran out, completely fed up. Even replaced my hard drive. Nothing works.
Try replacing the ram and/or reinstalling windows. If that hasn’t worked then it’s probably a motherboard issue. Then you might wanna get a new computer instead of going through the trouble of attempting to get it fixed. Sorry for the year late reply lol
@@user-um2cs9bg3n Actually only got it running stable a few weeks ago after literally hundreds of hours of trial and error. Believe it was a couple of problems compounded making it a nightmare to diagnose. Long story short had to reduce the power to the cpu down to 98% and run with the older AMD drivers. If anyone else is smacking their heads against the wall with mysterious BSODs.
