It was electrifying & one of the best hyped audience’s & on their feet enjoying a performance that I have seen. They had the top 3 or top 5 audience loving it & enjoying themselves in the history of award shows of all time. Morris Day & The time are in the top 5 of audiences at ward shows enjoying themselves.     • They were all in a group together. Morris played the drums. Prince started a solo career. They no longer had a lead singer so he came from behind those drums lol. No surprise that they sound alike. Starting playing together since high school.

    • I bought 'What Time Is It' on cassette at Rosedale Mall (Twin Cities) in 1984. I had heard it before that, but didn't have enough cash to buy it when it came out (1982, when I was 12). The record store clerk even gave me a nod of recognition. (This won't make sense to anyone born after 2000 or so) Awesome band!

    • True i like to see the real time band all the first members all get in that movie purple rain as i watched it over great flick glad it was done at that time Prince showed the whole world how good he really was as he had all the actors in place and some funny stuff as well a part i liked was morris and Jerome was coming on the stage to perform they were about to walk up the steps ran into Prince and Morris said stick around let me show you how its done Jerome was helpping Prince close his jacket that Prince had on as to say leave i was like dam thats classic funny as hell

    • the Houseband. At least some are the same musicians, as seen with the JiimyJam/Terry Lewis-Performance he did, or some of them who went on stage with Prince and Sheila E on The ALMA's. As i've seen it twice now, i saw some familiar faces. I guess this was done to prove a nasty point in the ongoing legal debate with the Prince-Estate, who own the NAME "the Time". Morris gets a kick out of hearing the synth lines done by real horns he said. sometimes it's not for cheapness or "fakeness" or whatever, sometimes it's the business itself, shooting itself in the leg. That didn't stop Uncle Mo from doing this properly for one last TIME.

  • Brings back memories of my mom taking me to see Purple Rain as a kid and I fell in love with Prince music and loved he let his R&B flag fly thru Morris and The Time. It made me become a musician and start producing.This is peak music for me and it’ll never get old.

He has a song out called, "Renaissance" and Dr. Fink has a keyboard solo on it👍🏿😊). I do wish the original folks would get back together and do another album. It's been 11 years since "Condensate".   • This type music makes me appreciate my dad for exposing me to this music as early as I can remember and many more as a'92 baby. So glad I got the chance to dance sing and play instruments and listen to music with my dad growing up and having those memories stay with me before he passed this year. Rip daddy ❤ I miss you...
