Team activities at work can boost well-being, reduce stress and foster collaborative relationships. Those relationships can also contribute to client success when teams work better together. Being part of a committee charged with building a nurturing environment gives employees a voice in addressing workplace challenges. hubs.li/Q02m3MLq0 #WorkCulture #EmployeeMentalHealth #IndiaCareers

I’m a project engineer who is proud to be a part of Kizuna, the Burns & McDonnell India employee engagement committee. Kizuna means “bond” in Japanese and that’s what the committee works hard to establish - strong bonds, which lead to great employee partnerships that benefit our clients and contribute to widespread project success. As a Kizuna member, I help organize over a dozen major events attended by hundreds of employees. This includes our annual sports meet, family picnic, and Annual Day and Independence Day celebrations. Beyond the satisfaction I get as an engineer who helps clients realize their visions, I take pride in planning activities that promote trust and team building, boost employee confidence and encourage a healthy work-life balance. And while Kizuna uses a fun approach to cultivating positive relationships, the committee also helps address employee concerns -big and small. To me and those I work with, Kizuna is more than just fun and games. It’s a collective effort dedicated to reducing workplace stress, supporting employee well-being and nurturing an overall positive and friendly work culture. It feels good working for a company that prioritizes the welfare of its people and believes in fostering a harmonious and nurturing environment for all.
