This is an exhilarating time for the engineering and construction industry. And for a world undergoing incredible change. The traditional ways in which we connect and communicate are evolving. Building progressive, sustainable solutions is a tall order. And an opportunity we are eager to tackle. Stepping into the role as chair and CEO of Burns and McDonald, I do so with a devotion to continuing to elevate safety as our top priority. It is a vital commitment to our clients and our people. Building on my years of experience at Burns and Mac, I'm keeping a close eye on some key priorities affecting us all in the next decade and beyond. The energy sector is undergoing a transformation as the world moves to reduce carbon emissions. We are among those spearheading the transition, conducting studies, designing cleaner, renewable fuel systems, and working with utility partners across the country to build out the electrical infrastructure to support it all. Our world is increasingly interconnected. Critical infrastructure forms the backbone of these connections as older structures need replacement and as the need for more capacity becomes urgent. There will be a steadily increasing demand for smart, sensible, sustainable solutions, and labor workforce shortages, amid the boom in capital spend ,will put a premium on those solutions. Innovation is vital to building out operating and maintaining all of these facilities. Technology and innovation are moving quickly. Infusing value in creative solutions around the globe and increasingly into outer space as well. Looking beyond these cross-industry themes, I'll continue to empower our brilliant professionals to push boundaries safely. And wow, every client who entrusts their work with us. Everyone here is working on something extraordinary. Something that matters and improves the lives and the world around us. The projects we work on are so important to communities. Delivering what they need today, and preparing for what they need tomorrow. I'm incredibly optimistic about what we will accomplish together. This is just the beginning.
