Surprising World Leaders by Speaking Their Languages

2022 ж. 21 Қар.

I recently got the chance to attend APEC 2022 in Bangkok Thailand, attended by major world leaders from 21 different global member economies. KZhead invited me to come interview some of these leaders and I challenged myself to try and speak at least some of each leader’s language. The leaders I spoke with included Tanee Sangrat, Thailand’s new ambassador to the United States, Antony Blinken, the United States Secretary of State, Jerry Sambuaga, the Deputy Trade Minister of Indonesia, and Dr Rebecca Fatima Sta Maria, Executive Director of APEC and former Secretary-General of Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
With tens of thousands of Thai police and soldiers out in force, security and scheduling for this event was extremely tight so I was very limited in whom I could speak with and what I could ask, but I do think I at least managed to catch some of these leaders off guard and connect with them on a more human level. Here’s a snippet of our conversations and hope you enjoy!

I think my family got as much out of it as the French student did at being in America. • Wow! he's officially become a world reporter of many cultures! He not only learns and speaks many languages, but now he has shown an ability to interact with world leaders and to show the world online something about the cultures that they represent. For years I've watched his videos and all are fascinating instructive informative and entertaining to watch. You learn quite a lot about language, people, culture and food. In this video he seems so calm and cool, just being his true self before world leaders who appear to like him a lot. He is not just interviewing them but making long lasting connections with each of these powerful political figures. he is also bringing to life their personalities. I believe that people around the world know very little about these important political figures, but now thanks to videos like this one, the world can learn and discover more about them. At times the video was also very funny, bringing a smile to your face as you laugh with the world leaders who also laugh and enjoy their meeting with him. Politics should be more about friendships building strong human relations between various participating nations that would allow for greater communications, progress and peace. The world needs more peace, and, the online world needs to see more videos like this one in the future. So i think it is proper to declare our interviewer a world peacemaker. Many of the comments here reveal just how many persons are excited and happy and glad that he shares their cultural values and languages online. People love to see their nation culture peoples and language being represented in these videos. Keep up the good work. Thanks to everyone and all the companies that made this video possible.
