    • Same here. I've seen the performance the times and it always ends in tears. If I'm not mistaken, it's a folk song titled, Plywe Kacza ("the duckling swims"). The lyrics are a dialogue between a mother and son going off to war, asking what if he never comes back. The dialogue is told in the context of a duckling crossing a river, which symbolizes crossing into the afterlife. Of note, that performance occurred before the current war in Ukraine. I'm sure the song is extra meaningful today. Also, from what I've read, three of the mentors didn't turn because their teams were already full. Otherwise, in sure all mentors would've turned.

  • Sir Tom Jones killed it. The voice, the emotion, OMG, sheer perfection. Would it be possible to add an onscreen english translation to the non english songs? After reading the translation of the Ukrainian song I got what the judges were so shook up about, but an instant translation would have worked better.

  • The lady in the green with the lyre i believe she was the Ukrainian one she was absolutely wonderful and i think the song was a lament and longing for home and crying for their pain song i dont speak Slavic but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to gather that or the tearful reaction from judges..it was a superb song ..
