8 weeks and 300 hours later I have a canopy on my car. Here’s a Timelapse of how I did it. The canopy was designed on CAD, cut on a CNC plasma cutter, folded on a press brake/pan brake and then TIG welded together. It is constructed from aluminium and has a kitchen, charge drawer, induction, water pump, vertical fridge and a fridge/freezer.
The next video in the canopy series will be a full overview of this canopy, followed by another travel series where I put it to the test.

- Absolutely would love U to Cad out a camper trailer. Would be epic for big camp trips. (Like the old Patriot campers minus the price 😜 ) Great work mate and love seeing your progression. Only found your channel from watching ya rig channel on Built not bought...and TBH IV enjoyed your channel. Very inspirational

Jesus how could we ever have fun offroad without engineered drawers and a 5 star kitchen. Insanity. Ice in a cooler Coleman stove and a decent tent. Good to go. Take the 20$k for vanity bs and spend it on fuel and mechanical reliability.

- You're really having a go at the majority of Australians who tow vans, camper trailers, have touring setups etc... More than happy to rough it but when on the road for a few months it is nice to have a few creature comforts. The car is mechanically reliable, I made sure of that before I embarked on the canopy build. It cost far less than 20k since it was DIY.

- What makes you say that? Sure the paint & CNC folding was outsourced, but the rest of it was done in house by my mates and I. We built the CNC plasma table ourselves which was used for cutting the entire interior fit-out.
