there could have been a point to that question, like "does seeing other people do that increase your drive to be more competitive?" or another question along those lines but the way it was asked, the guy was essentially asking if he was a fan of Matthews or something lol

Both players are that way.

Matthews isn't in the same stratosphere as McDavid.. anyone who would take Matthews of McDavid is either, blind, dumb, or a leaf fan.. and sometimes those last two things go hand in hand..

Doesn't matter if he is a coach or not. He is asking the questions for the public. You want millions to play a child's game? Learn to deal with these questions and don't take plays off on 2-1 breaks.

@@ryanduray1 What's possibly even worse is the 30-second pre-game chat when the reporter goes down to ice level to grab a guy and ask him 2 or 3 stupid meaningless questions during warmups literally on the ice surface/end of the bench.

Pulled out the thesaurus I see. Well, two can play at that game. Although I find validity within the crux of your claim, I often regard interview questions as a means of gathering a deeper sense of the player, not just as an athlete, but an individual. Good day to you sir.

All media is terrible but it comes to hockey Canadian media is the worst.

That's just a typical Canadian gatekeeper. They pull that shit with American players as well. They think it's impressive that they produce good hockey players when that's the only legitimate sport they have. If they lose to America in 2026 it will be devastating to them.

Also, how does Bettman not promote the game in the US? Florida has two hockey teams, California has three and even Nevada and Arizona have teams.
