At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly. A massage therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the first to recognize something special in this little girl, and eventually adopted her. Diana was sent for singing lessons because it was thought that this might help her learn to speak without impediment. But they are still very appropriate and describe what is special about Diana very well. Diana has a very rare voice. She is a contralto and she is also polyphonic, which means she can produce several tones at the same time. Diana's background: Diana was born on May 31, 2003 in the Far East of Russia. She was severely abused as a small child and abandoned on the street by her birth mother in winter when she was only 3 years old with a broken collarbone. She was then taken to an orphanage where, after more than one year, she was adopted by Irina Ponik, a massage therapist. At the age of four and a half, Diana still could not speak properly. She also stuttered. Experts recommended that she take singing lessons to improve her general speaking and vocal skills. This was a new TV show in Russia. There are 9 weeks with 9 shows and 9 well known artists. Diana is the youngest artist. They had to sing songs from 9 genres. The last TV show was on 20. November 2021. The 9 artists are also the judges for the other singer. And Diana (18 yo) won the overall competition of which Diana won 4 and took 2nd place once. She shocked the other singers with the first song. Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. She has turned nineteen at the 31.05.22 She was abondend by her mother at the age of 3 and found with a broken collarbone at a Bus Stop in winter! Her aunt found and rescued her. "Showmaskgoon" (season 1,2021) is an original Show that has no foreign analogues, such as "Voice", etc. The project was attended by favorite participants of popular projects of the Russian TV channel NTV - "Mask", "You're Super!" and "Superstar!". The project of the TV channel was created using augmented reality technology - Extended Reality (XR). The participants of "Showmaskgoon" evaluated and commented on the performances themselves. In the final of each program, they gave each other scores from 2 to 9 points. Also in each room there was a guest artist with the right to vote, in this room as a guest opera singer - Yusif Aivazov. The contestants were offered a choice of 9 themes: pop hit, folk song, modern hit and so on. The winner of the first season of the show was Diana Ankudinova, who performed the Depeche Mode song "Personal Jesus" in the finale.

I've been watching Diana's performances for a long time when she was 14 years old. But when i saw this performance i couldn't believe that it was the same singer. Of course i knew that Diana could surprise, but this performance made me crazy in a good way.

This show had an interesting concept. There were nine artists. They were required to perform songs in nine different categories. The show ran for nine weeks. When the artist wasn't performing, s/he sat as one of the judges. Additionally there was one guest judge each week. By the scoring system of nine points to one point, there was a winner of each episode. Then, after the nine weeks, there was a winner declared by the total number of points earned over time. It was pretty interesting to watch them squirm, as they judged each other. I mean, how do you tell the person, sitting next to you, that you thought that they did a bad job? Or, how do you tell him that you tell him that he did a great job but you get my lowest score?
The addition of being a jury member for sure is different! However i do feel from it that this show might be more of a celebration on talent, rather the a competition. Guess we’ll find out haha
And so it was! In the end, all the participants relaxed, were very friendly, joked a lot, made fun of each other and handed out points absolutely randomly. However, this did not stop Diana from ultimately winning this show :)
Greetings from Scotland! This is 18yo Diana, she is the most unique, most impressive dramatic contralto (with polyphonic overtones) you will ever hear, now or in the future! WHY? Because Diana was gifted with a spectacular larynx and pharynx at birth. On top of that she has worked tirelessly to continually improve. Placed in an orphanage with a broken collarbone at 3yo after her birth mum tried to drown her, abandoning her in a street in winter. Her new family adopted her at nearly 5yo and she could barely speak, so took her to a speech therapist who advised she took singing lessons - 1 year later at 6yo she was doing solo performances on stage! Since then Diana has worked/sung everywhere she could. Look what that little abandoned girl has grown into now! In my opinion, the greatest singer the world has ever heard! "Queen of Goosebumps" strikes again. 18 here. 15+ for Wicked Game, Human, Derniere Danse, Blizzard, Tomorrow Is A Lie, +++. 14 for Rechenka, a composite of Russian folk tales about an orphan girl who is being given away to the unloved, and goes to the river, border between the living and the dead, to ask blessings from her deceased mother. Even more poignant considering Diana's backstory. But that was then and this is now - she is not only a survivor because of her adoptive (real) family, she is victorious. Great rxn. The "Prodigy Trifecta" of Dimash, Diana, and Angelina are blowing your mind, and it's fun to watch. Been there. Still am. Subbed.
She was given so many problems, yet somehow came out this amazing human and seemingly really happy. Sure she has her demons from her past. But super happy her talents found the stage and she is able to follow her dreams. Aweful backstories make for some beautiful tales every noe and then.. at this point we’re only scratching the surface with some of these talents. Musically we got a great future ahead.

Diana is a very very rare contralto which is the lowest form of the female singing voice but she has an extended range and the ability to sand with polyphonic overtones. I think maybe the word that you were looking for might be describing her voice, haunting or epic. And I agree she would make a fantastic, Bond girl. If she were to perform this as the theme song for a James Bond movie.
