By popular demand, here is the FULL parts list for the engine:

Since I already have a full engine build series, I didn't want to make repeat content, but still wanted to showcase the work that went into this thing. So I ended up spending weeks making this instead lolll. Keep in mind, this video is just for entertainment, and does not show the other half of what goes into building an engine, aka taking all of the measurements, modifying parts to fit, cleaning everything piece by piece, etc. What you see here is basically the fun part! If you'd like more info on the engine build check out the technical blog here:

  • No blah blah blah talk, no annoying music, no selfie stick where they film themselves more than the work. No this is just straight to the work. Perfect! Looks awesome. Subbed.

  • This is like the best lego set in the world. Watching that whole camshaft assembly get put on top of the block was like building a lego and it makes you take a detour to build a different part and then you put it all together and it looks amazing. This is truly one of the best things I've watched.

  • It sure looks easier to replace the timing belt, water pump and main seal when the engine is on an engine stand than what I had to endure changing those parts while the engine is in situ.

    @Laz_Arus@Laz_Arus Жыл бұрын
    • Same here. Speaking of which @thecarpassionchannel I saw in this video you slid the woodruff key towards the crank pulley after it's back on. In the timing belt video I don't remember you mentioning that

      @kylelambert1672@kylelambert1672 Жыл бұрын
    • Mine never came off the crank nose and just chilled there the entire time I was replacing stuff. And my pulley parts just went back on but the woodruff key still didn't move

      @kylelambert1672@kylelambert1672 Жыл бұрын
    • working on an engine on a stand is an absolute dream compared to bending over or laying around on the ground underneath the car. I've done my timing belt in the car, and also dropped the trans and changed the clutch under the car. Now I have my whole engine and trans out of the car, and it's so much easier.

Watching you do the whole engine almost makes me want to build a long nose 1.6 I have laying around in my basement that has mild rod knock. But then I’ll need to buy all the expensive goodies and convince my wife the car needed it. Haha. Love to see it.
