Hi I’m Aurikatariina and I deep clean my followers' homes for free! ❤️
Today we are cleaning Johns home! John was a lovely young man who asked for my help when he wanted to get better. He had been struggling for a while which let to his apartment ending up in this condition. This was one of my favourite cleanings just because of the outcome. Not one surface was ruined and the home became like new. Just wait until you see the bathroom sink! It is amazing. I also encountered a lot of dust and mold which you know I love! I just get so excited when I find either of them. I also asked John something that I get asked all the time. Wait until the end to find out what John answered! 🥰

  • For those of you who don't think she has done enough, repeat after me... She did this for free! She has given this man a hand up, not a hand out. Auri, you are an angel for helping so many and giving the rest of us an inspiration to clean. Thank you so much!

    • I agree! The trolls who complain that she could do more than she's already doing forget that she's not their Mom! These people are ADULTS who are responsible for steam cleaning or replacing their own dirty couches, mattresses, and whatever else THEY destroyed in their homes. Doesn't matter WHY they trashed their place. What matters is that it was ALWAYS their job to fix it, but Auri volunteers to help them for FREE. Sheesh! Smh

I hope this doesn't happen to Auri. She doesn't deserve any negativity. Some ppl can't handle the fact that others like Auri are honestly kind, giving ppl and the horrible ones feel a need to break them down. I'll never understand that mode of acting. 😢

  • Auri, I grew up with a genuine hatred for cleaning. From too young my mother set me to chores and then screamed at and berated me for ‘missing a spot’ or ‘you call that clean’ or ‘the dishes are still dirty’. As an adult, keeping my home clean and tidy were chores that I resented Your videos with your energy and joy have transformed me - ESPECIALLY because you can’t do everything. Most of the time just doing anything is hard enough but it’s always easier with you there with me

    • :( I’m so sorry., my mum was like this too. Super angry and high standards and would throw away anything I left on an open surface if she asked me to clean my room, even if it was something she bought for me and I just used it. Separately, I have issues with dishes not being fully cleaned because I have sensory issues and also just standards (sorry), but usually I’ll be like “hey!! I love you but this fork/bowl still has so much rice stuck in it! if u can’t get it off just leave it in water and I’ll get it later” in a positive tone. I wish ppl like our mums knew you could ask for help or for people to do things differently in a kind way, especially children

  • Auri, you are helping these people who feel overwhelmed and just can't deal with their situation on their own. I think it's more than generous that you do the cleaning for free and also provide clean bedding when there is none. Even if the mattress needs to be replaced, having a clean place to rest is more important. People need to realize that you are providing a starting point, a place where they can step in and take charge of their lives again. It's up to them to replace mattresses, steam clean their couch and take charge of all that dirty laundry. You can't possibly do every little thing for them, nor can you stick around and hold their hand for them. They just need to see that their homes can be a clean sanctuary again, but it's up to them to maintain it. God bless you for your generosity and kindness.

  • Here's one for the cleaners in the room. Glitter. In two separate circumstances I have had to remove glitter from surfaces. Here's the 411 about glitter and WHY it seems to "run away," from whatever product or cloth you might be using to pick it up. In the manufacturing process, and in order to get the color on both sides of the little squares, glitter is electrostatically charged to make the two side stick together. This makes it repel every liquid except...plain water. Yes. The best way to pick up glitter is with a water damp tissue. And Auri, when you read this; the day I criticize your English is the day I can speak Finnish as well as you do English. Until then, hah, forget about it! I love what you do. Best wishes always. Happy Days!

The peace and light you bring to the lives of other people ripples out in ways you will never know and are too many to count. ❤ In America, we have a saying: “You could be the sweetest, juiciest peach in the world; there are still people who don’t like peaches.” It means that you cannot be perfect for everyone. Keep doing the work you do the best you can, and that is beautifully good enough for the people you are helping. And they are the only ones who matter…not the internet nasties. Big hugs from Florida, USA. ❤

Even just the silliest little things, like I liked pillows propped up on the bed against the wall to make a sort of daybed set up and she would come in and move them while I was at school. With my own kids I always ask for their input on their spaces and stuff because when they have input they are more likely to take ownership.

  • Anyone who would criticise you for “not doing more” is just looking for an excuse to be mean. You’re doing a great job, and even when you have to leave certain areas untouched, you’ve still made it SO much easier for the resident to continue cleaning on their own. Your schedule is obviously quite packed, and it’s like you said - where do you draw the line? Plus, your videos are immensely inspiring. 🥰 I’ve always enjoyed cleaning to a certain degree - I managed to clear out my own “depression apartment” when I was in my early 20s (after living in filthy chaos for well over a year) and it had a profound effect on me and my mental health. Watching your videos reminds me of how much fun cleaning is, and how HEALING it can be. ❤ Whatever criticism people throw your way, like telling you that you aren’t doing enough or chastise you for getting paid by your sponsors (because apparently you aren’t allowed to make money as you travel all over the world to help people get a head start), just remember that there are so many of us out here, absolutely loving what you do. (And as an English teacher, don’t worry about saying “trashes”. 😉 we understand what you mean, and that’s what’s important. Plus, it’s cute! 😝)

Taking care of the space we live in is selfcare, so these people can add a sense of achievement to the gratitude they feel for your work. It is not an exaggeration to call you a life saver!
