Today I am looking at the Excalibur gaming keypad from AULA. Does it do enough to compete with what Razer and Logitech have to offer?

You're a legend, couldn't find the driver software anywhere after months of search. Was actually looking at alternatives but baulked at the costings when my Si881 works perfectly fine... Forgot to add - reaching out to Aula both via email and facebook and received not even a courtesy reply.
I'm very thankful that you were able to like the software because I needed that, I have instructions and box instructions in english here, neither say what the switches are, nor do they have a website download.
i got this before knowing anything about it or the company. got the baby disc like a gamecube disc but my pc doesn't have a disc drive. this is wonderful thank you very much for the link. i went to their website and couldn't find it personally.

Great review. After seeing your video, I went out and got one.
For a translation of any language, Google Translate has a "Camera" function combined with a "Detect language" option. This will automatically translate Chinese or most any other language real-time. Just screenshot it an you have your own translation of the instructions. It's not perfect, but it works.
Bought one, currently using, about a year. no issues as per quality, ditto on the software, cloud-based, hot and cold it seems. I am shopping for a better answer.

My issue is = where CTRL is now ALT, Shift location is Ctrl and Shift is where capslock is... so I'm struggling to find the software to keymap! Many thanks good sir! This thin is loud too... I really liked my Belkin N52te - might stick with it.
Thanks for the review, i'm trying to actually stop spending hundreds bucks everytime i have to change a Razer peripheral (still currently on an Orbweaver chroma). I don't really care about the lighting. 9:27 you say "you can do that to every single key", but can you actually do it to the keys in the center (those that actually have RGB backlight) and reassign Q/W/E/R/T/etc. ?
Goes it really have spyware? Some Amazon costumer said that. I need one of those since my Logitech G510S is not good anymore and I need the macros.
So what about the driver shield for Mac OS, where can I download it if I buy a keyboard?
Saw this advertised on Amazon I had to look it up more as I was thinking okay what is it. I think I will stick with my Logitech Game Pad instead.
So, I just bought this thing expecting to have full lighting, as you mentioned. I'm truly disappointed. But, I noticed, on screen, the lights above 1 through 6 are on, but not on, on my actual keyboard. Yours are not either. I'm thinking that may be the problem of not being able to change the lights at the top and side?
I have tried everything I can think of to launch the software to do macros & custom lights but... is the Aula-cms4.2.1.27 only the driver? Do I need something else? I have searched but nothing. Windows 10 detects the keypad so I can use it. Just not the custom stuff. What am I missing? Is it me or is my system incompatible? Any help & suggestions are greatly appreciated. I really want to like this keypad but so far no.
So you don't recommend it because of the lighting? what if you don't care about the lighting at all and plan to have it off? how does the hardware function? I care about the key layout more than anything, having access to as many keys as possible under my left hand without having to move it is what I am looking for, I have a Logitech G13, but I cant stand that they aren't mechanical keys. How is the key customization? for instance it has a 1 - 5 key row can you set up an M-state toggle to make those same keys function like 6-0?
I wasn't a fan of it to be honest. The hardware functioned well enough so it may be what you are looking for. I will hopefully have another review of a different game pad on Thursday if you are interested in a cheaper alternative. Thanks for the question.
im not sure why but when i open the software i only get 1/4th the screen. is there a bug or am i doing some thing wrong?
Software link doesn't work. I cannot find the software anywhere. The mini disk that came with it nearly crashed a brand new custom built gaming desk top.
a lot are saying the software is spyware you had any issues with it?
I have one of these and my software for it just stopped working. It just brings up an icon on the taskbar called CMSEngine but there's no visible window to go to. The link you got doesn't work anymore =( trying to put macros into mine for Hell Divers 2 and can't do that without the software
in mmos you type in payment in numbers which this keyboard does not seem to have.

This keyboard's driver software makes a connection to an alibaba cloud service that was sending my keylogging information through Hong Kong to Beijing. First network activity happened almost immediately after installing the driver from their US based website (found in comments below). Even after unplugging the keyboard the service still runs and pings every 5 seconds uploading any new data entry logged. DO NOT USE THIS KEYBOARD. If you have it, delete the driver and program immediately. If you have network monitoring software, isolate the calls it has been making and firewall that traffic.
Does the device have Onboard memory?

other than the lighting... the only thing this is missing is a USB passthrough....so you could plug a mouse or headphones in...
Not mine I got software of sorts with this but my menu like that is a small box you cannot make bigger to see everything in it you cannot even scroll its like its half minimalized I will try the software from there site you found an see if that helps. So far looks to be a great game pad. Now just to wait until the wind decides to let up so my net speeds back up an get my download speed back!
I ran into the same problem. So unless something changes or someone knows how to fix it. The software is useless. I got the disc as well and I downloaded it off the website and same problem.
@@tiberiusgaming1701 I managed to get it working by using a 1024*768 resolution. Try that, restart your PC and THEN open the software. After saving your settings, you can return to your desired resolution.

Thank you for the link to the control software. I got one through Amazon, sold and rebranded by Beastron as the Excalibur SI-881. The hardware appears to be the same with a lion logo instead of the spider logo. It came with English instructions but no driver disc or link. The instructions did include shortcuts for changing the backlighting, but I don't see anything that changes the outer color off from green. imgur.com/a/LOqztRA

Coming from a Logitech g13 for years this has been the only thing that might replace it. And don't get me wrong i am not replacing the g13 cause i want to . Its purely because logitech has Retired(discontinued) and has no plans for doing an update to the g13. Regardless of what the fans have been screaming for years logitech has gotten too big for its britches. And is going full forward with this flat basic keyboard thing. I don't know if its because they are just trying to keep stuff simple for the gaming pro circuit or what all i know is that we have been screaming for a new version of the g13 with mechanical keys longer than they have had the whole g section of logitech. But about this keyboard, i wanted a keyboard that had number of buttons and functionality that the g13 provided. I even tried the REd dragon Diti that now you can even find on Amazon due to it being such a huge failure. The run down : G13, Razor Orbweaver, nostro n52 , Koolertron Cherry MX plack . I have bought and tried them all . All fall flat . Alot of the game pad out right now are going away from the fully programmable keys. Thats where the Koolertron and Aula shine. But they layout on the koolertron is a basic square cut keyboard. So i will give this one a full shot and drop review with all of these game pads side to side.
Ah, semantics. Full colour to you meant changing the colour of all leds, to the manufacturer it means colour from 0,0,0 to 255,255, 255 (full RGB customisable as you can set it to anything in the RGB range, not just red, green or blue). Different things to different people. All the photos showed the outer LEDs the same green colour so it doesn't look like a planned deception, just different definitions of the meanings (both of which can be viewed as correct in their own way)

There is a gaming pad plus a mouse on the market that works for xbox, ps and Switch. I just don't remember the name of it right now. I found it while searching something like gamepad and mouse for Switch. There are reviews for it on here. It's about £100 GBP on Amazon
