Just a few things I thought about since the LP is almost over... - Damn shame that you can't get the Excalibur earlier, would've been really useful. I don't think this game has a NG+, does it? If not...well, shit. - It's cool that they explain what Fennel and Basil were up to at the start of the game. - The reunion with Connie does feel very underwhelming, unfortunately. - Vanilla took over a villain organization, committed WAR CRIMES and went to jail for a _year?_ LOL, that's pretty fucking tame! Good to know that we're working with Gundam rules here!

Funny thing about Basil and one of the few things we have that states the hero ending is the canon one, is in the E3 footage of Steambot 2 it's implied that the main character would have been homeless, and friends with Basil who also appears to be homeless in Nefroburg

Sad to see ya leaving the LP scene, but i will say this doing LPs has both advantages and disadvantages. For example, an advantage you took to the limit was showing off games that i'd never even heard of like the Bouncer or Steambot that you were extremely fond of and you wanted to show these games off to the audience. However, I do find that's a double-edged sword, and sometimes I feel like you oughta try LPing games that the audience will properly enjoy viewing e.g. Minecraft, Mega Man Battle Network and Star Force. But hey it's your channel in the end, you do what makes you feel happy. Look forward to the next video you do whether it be the next FF video the podcast or even something entirely new.

It's pretty nutty how evil Vanilla gets just a year in prison no matter how much shit you do in the Bloody Mantis, while Bergamot is stuck in there for a while longer and Dandelion is sentenced to death.

You should know Dandelion is never punished for any of his crimes in the villain path endings. And the worst of all, nobody knows the real identities of the real leader criminals. That's enough reason to prefer the true hero path even some of the hero variants are better deal for Vanilla.

Well, at least now we know what was going on in the early parts. Tbh, Jerk Vanilla got off really lightly for treating everyone like crap, fixing a match, joining the Bloody Mantis, dropping a BOMB on Happy Garland, and being particularly horrible to Connie before he became commander! I'm surprised he didn't stay with Bergamot for longer or suffered a worse sentence for his crimes.

Dunno if this was mentioned earlier, but a big hint as to who Elder's identity is can be found in the middle of the game. Before every arena match, you can find him looking outside a window towards the spot Chicory died. Made that connection while wandering around in the epilogue

Yeah that’s a really unsatisfying reunion after a really unnecessary separation for a year. Games don’t have you kiss the girl the game’s about enough. Remember shouting ‘kiss her damn it’ at the tv at the end of skyward sword the first time

I assume there may be other changes to the epilogue if you're evil Vanilla. E.G. The graves for Savory and Dandelion aren't there, people are less friendly to you for blowing up Happy Garland, ect. Come to think of it, is Happy Garland still there in the evil epilogue, was it rebuilt, or is it still destroyed?

It went from bittersweet to sad. Not really what I'd tell it did the game justice as a conclusion. Alternate Dimension Vanilla: Who was responsible for my imprisonment again? Ok so they do address the thing about Fennel's Trot mobile, and yikes I know Dandelion was the leader of the terrorist organization that wanted to bomb everything, but was a life sentence not enough? And what hints were there that Vanilla wanted to challenge Connie to a Trot battle the entire game? Nothing was building up to that. I know it's a ambitious PS2 game with a rushed conclusion but Man. Shit comes out of nowhere. But this is the end of an era right now. The Great Clement leaves the Let's Play Scene after nearly 12 years. You got to show off some obscure games like Mister Mosquito, The Bouncer, and this game. You managed to Play/Look At Every Single Sonic game and share your honest opinions about them regardless of how popular those opinions are. Here's to the rest of the Final Fantasy Retrospective and whatever other video ideas you have planned.
