Esther (star) is the star of the captured Israel. the captured Israel = myrtle tree (Hadassah הֲדַסָּה) (Zechariah 1: 8) I saw during the night, and behold, a man was riding upon a red horse; and He was standing among the myrtle trees that were in the bottoms; and behind Him there were red, reddish-brown, and white horses.
I grew up in the streets, the streets raised me and made me a gangster, I was a blood, I sold dope. Been in shoot outs, fights, in and out of jail since age 17, I robbed people and got robbed. I was a drunkard, fornicator, I use to club and pop pills, but I had a encounter with JESUS while in jail facing 5-10 years.. I have my heart to JESUS and he made me over again at age 23.. almost 9yrs later Hallelujah, I'm still free and born again, and filled with the Holy Ghost…JESUS is a mighty deliverer bless his Holy name

He loves the lord with all his heart as do my other kids. We as parents are given an awesome opportunity to raise our kids under God's instructions. I pray that everyone will search the scriptures like never before , in it we will be drawned to the father. Amen!

The king was in love with Esther, noticed she was raised for such a time as this, even if the Lord God is not mentioned in the Book of Esther, yet, we see His Hand in everything, especially the part when the king raises his scepter to Esther, it is divine in nature. God ordained it that he, the King had to love her or else he would not have lowered his sceptre to her when she broke protocol. He might not have even married her if he didn't.

It's a great story but it has not proven to be historical. The story was not found in the dead sea scrolls it is the only book from the old testament not found in the scrolls. If anything imo its the greatest love story ever written

My fav part is when, after 3 days of fasting and prayer, she ran through the rain to the Great throne room and fell at the feet of her king as all her accusers shouted to the king, but the king had mercy and love for her and he held out his scepter to save her. Mine is the book of Esther. For some time now, I feel there is some hidden mystery in it.But what???
chipo m..The mystery was revealed through Jesus' coming. Through one man's disobedience death through sin entered the world (Romans 5:12), Mordecai's (one man) disobedience leads a whole nation to destruction (Esther 3:2).I believe Esther's going in to the king and putting her life on the line (Esther 4:16 - If I perish I perish) to enter the inner courts of the king was symbolic of the death of Christ to enter the inner courts of God. She went in to plead for her people..Jesus (who was fully human) entered to plead for humanity. The devil lost just as Haman did. The king gives Haman's wealth to Esther who in turn puts Mordecai incharge of it, God gave all authority to Jesus (Matthew 11:27,John 3:35), and Jesus gave us this authority. Then the King takes the signet ring He reclaims from Haman and gives it to Mordecai. I believe the devil can no longer appear before God to accuse us but we are urged to enter the throne of God with confidence/boldness (Heb rews 4:16)....and a lot more than I can type now. The whole of the old testament basically talks of Christ. So a gospel that is not centered on what Christ did and what that means for us now is not the the real gospel.

I love this movie too. I wish it had gone like this in real life. Unfortunately, all the women including Esther had to sleep with the king first. Esther was chosen and all the other women became concubines since they wouldn't be able to find a husband afterwards.

yes very excellent plot but one that tells a story of a great nation, the one that God loved and made His own. the story of Israel in the natural but also in the spirit. 1 PETER 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light. Every truly born again Spirit filled Christian or child of God would know what i mean.

Somebody has been reading, studying, and has fallen so much in love with the Bible. I like writing,and I can tell you how much time, effort and energy you put in one story. There's no way someone will just read the story and come up with such a beautiful movie. And everything is so true. The love between the King and queen was that strong if you read the Bible. I think this is about the 5th time I've seen this movie and I just love it so much!! God knows the beginning from the end and He raised up Esther for a moment such as that. We are all raised up for a moment but most turn away from it.

When the Lord puts you in a position that will serve His purpose not only in your life but in others lives too, it is the greatest honour to be used by Him. Ester had to be brave and have faith that God would give her favour and she still speaks to us 2000 years down the passage of time to be children of God with noble characters and to stand up like David against the Goliath's of this world. I just loved this movie and I love the Bible even more because there are many such stories that speak of God's faithful ness and love to those who put their trust in the Lord God Almighty, the ruler of Heavens Armies!

Growing up a Sunday school child, the story of Esther was my favorite. The first time i watched this movie was when i was a young boy in the university. Every year i make sure i read this story or watch this movie. And i always cry when i either read the story of watch the movie. My understanding is that, No matter the size of opposition against us, there is always a deliverance for those who keep trusting in God. God’s mercy terminate messy situation

God speaks to us like this all the time. Christians find out this truth is a treasure worth having regardless of the pain. Everyone has pain. But God is good all the time.
Indeed when one takes a stand for God, there will be an impact. This version of Esther displayed a love story between a King and Queen and the principles of honor, wisdom, patience and faithfulness. I generally enjoy this movie and I love the song that comes on when Esther is crowned Queen.

This is my favorite movie !!! God was hidden but yet still there. The song one night with the king is awesome!!!
I enjoyed this, but I prefer the narration in the Bible, which has accuracy though less drama. The king had already extended the golden scepter to Esther/ Hadassah when he saw her standing in the inner court. Esther had two banquets prepared for the king and Haman. After the first, the king could not sleep and had the chronicles read to him, that reminded him of the good Mordecai had done. Only at the second banquet, did Esther reveal to the king her identity to the king. Haman was punished with the punishment he wanted for Mordecai, and so were his 10 sons. The LORD hears the cry of his people, praise God. Amen.
