I was rolling about 25 mph slowing for a red light and one pulled up right beside me. Then the driver stomped on the throttle just long enough to get in front of me and change lanes in less space than a 4 lane intersection. It looked like it was defying the laws of physics.

  • Strangely, Roman says he hates a sunroof in trucks AND he doesn’t want T-Tops to return as a feature on vehicles but he loves both of those features on this vehicle. Maybe it’s the “BADASS” feature that he mentions in nearly all vehicles he becomes enamored with. I think he just likes the shiny and new things and just wants to be cool. Be consistent with your reviews and don’t get sucked in with the shiny new toys. There have been sooo many problems with this truck in the short time you’ve owned it. It really is the new and “improved” version of the same unreliable Hummer. It is what it is, just what was expected. Flashy and crappy. These will be forgotten into perpetuity, particularly with the poor quality, reliability and wildly expensive price.

    • @@trailrunnah8886 He basically says it at the end of the video. "It left me stranded but when it's good it's GOOD!" Tell me you haven't heard some dude say that about the toxic relationship he was in. The Hummer EV is a fantastic truck to get attention and make you feel cool for driving it, but as an EV and an Offroader it seems to underperform. With 37s they are still dragging belly with it and it's preformance as an EV gives it similar gas milage to my Jeep.

  • Been driving it for 12 months, since March of 2022 and I love it! As a Realtor, I show ranch property a lot, so the off-road capabilities come in handy. I can leave it running all day if I want to and the truck's cabin temperature is warm in the winter and cool in the hot Texas summers. It is easy to maneuver because of it's rear-wheel steering and allows me to meet new people all the time. Most don't even know the truck has been released yet. To me, this is the best truck I have ever owned. After the Raptor and TRX, the HummerEV is leaving both in the dust.

A $120k EV is not practical. A vehicle without reliable systems is not practical. A truck with that sized bed is not practical. And not practical cannot be the best. The Hummer EV is a nice vehicle, but it is only for a certain small subset of people. Off roading? Sure. Also the Rivian's lower price, better quality (no cheap plastics there) also make a pretty good argument. Lastly, if Lucid would just fix their quality issues, the touring Air is also a really good argument for this statement.

  • Roman, no you’re wrong. From a UK perspective it’s too big, it’s too heavy, anything over 3500kgs has to go to a commercial truck test centre and that is expensive. To charge the thing from 10% to 100% would cost £127 at 67p pkwh and it’s useless as a pickup truck and a Skoda Enyaq would tow further (not by much ) but the Skoda costs £35k and would fit a UK parking space. FYI the charge in dollars is $154 that would buy me 18 gallons of diesel which would take a Ranger diesel 450+ miles.

That’s £112 for a 10-80% charge (0.7 x 212 = 148.4kWh) gives a calculated 222miles- more like 200 with motorway speeds and its 0.57Cd brick-like drag co-efficient. But I guess if you can cough up £320K for this vehicle in the UK fuelling cost isn’t a concern. Fill ya boots😂

  • This review states 1- Not great for off-road, 2- tow range is lame at 100 miles, 3- broke down a few times, 4- not much bed capacity, especially with that spare tire in there, 5- 1.5 kwh per mile- seriously? 6- $125k and it's worth it- are you kidding? Yet all this and it gets a gleaming review? I guess the weighting is the cool factor is a 1,000 times more important than the reliability or any key function of a 4wd truck like hauling, towing or off-road. Are you paid off by GM here for this review? Your credibility just took a big hit in my opinion guys.

  • The bed is so small it looks like a rumble seat ... That is NOT a Truck! stop calling it a truck! that is an SUV for soccer moms. not for work or anything an actual truck is useful for.

  • Still don’t care what anyone says, this truck definitely deserves to stay on the channel. They kept the Bronco and TRX way past the one year mark of long term testing. More testing and more awesome video is needed. The Hummer EV is absolutely a awesome and special truck. TFL, KEEP THE HUMMER, PLEASE.

    • Need to make solar roof panels and put all season tires on for extra range. Add a canopy on the back for extra streamlining and make an in cab 12 volt battery switch.

  • It's a great vehicle on paper but real world it seems it's only the best EV for people who crave attention. Calling it the best off road vehicle for people who don't want to seriously go off road is pretty ridiculous to me. But there are people driving new Wranglers on 40s with the entire off road accessories catalog on them that have invested as much money and never seriously go off road too. At least the Hummer EV is more unique.

  • Everytime I see this hummer, I become sad. 200 kWh and not really any range benefits? That’s just wasteful!

  • The sarcasm dispersed through this video is going to piss people off who don't pick up on it. This vehicle is a cool concept but the price to reliability variable is awful. Price should reflect quality (reliability) but I guess it rarely does. So these two factors have left me with little interest in the Hummer. Thanks guys for buying. I know that's a big investment and has tied a lot of your money up in one place.

  • Had mine for a year now. 14300 miles of fun! I use it for work and keep it formed on most of the day. I show properties a lot and so have to get in and out of my truck a lot or wait for clients at properties. Sitting there in my TRX, I could see the gas mileage drop. With the HummerEV, I leave it on and it's nice and cold in the hot Texas summer. Best trick I ever owned and I'm saving about $1200/ month in gas cost
