I decided to cast net this spillway under repair and found it's loaded with all kinds of fish. I even made a super rare catch!

Wow amazing net fishing brother
Wow I've never seen that fish before. This reaction was the exact same as my reaction to catching my first ever Rio Grande Cichlid before I knew they existed. Love locations that bring such a variety of species which pretty much defines Florida. Can't wait to see what spring fishing brings for the channel!
It was really cool to see
One hell of a throw with that cast net
It's unique
He can sling it
Yowzer - that Big Mouth Sleeper (which I'd never seen before either) was a great catch! Looked almost prehistoric to me! And you cast-net skills are getting better and better, bro. 👏🏻👏🏻
I appreciate it 👍 I was actually having a horrible time throwing that day
Best fishing channel I have ever seen
Down at Gordy Road is see haha love that spot
Great video as always. Missed your live the other day. Keep it up.
I appreciate it 👍
Another awesome video bro. Love thr channel my man
Thanks 👍
Tyrana-mega-sculpin! That Big Mouth Sleeper is super cool, off to look into that beastie.
It was awesome to see
Cool s*** man I'm glad I'm able to watch event tonight it's kind of cold here and I'm bummed out but take care peace from Northeast the bearded fisherman
That sleeper looks like an eating machine! Never seen 1 before but definitely neat. Take care my friend
The mouth on that thing was incredible
I hope you picked up the rolling rock bottle
Awesome catches and pretty cool location.
Thanks
Can't use cast net where I'm from, wildlife po po bust me upside the head
@W M Oh man that sucks
First awesome video buddy
Thanks!
Wow 😲👍 SUPER 🆒 looking fish similar to a rock fish in Alaska!
Yeah, that was something that went through my mind
Ive caught a few of those. Called them Stone Rollers. All came from the same hole in a creek I try to get creek chub from. The biggest one Ive caught was maybe 5in. Had no idea they could get that big.
Yeah, I was surprised
Awesome fish 🇦🇺
Thanks!
Definitely improving your castnet throw! If you want to see the OG you should watch Deer meat for dinner, I'm talking like a perfectly thrown 20 foot net.
Nice catch, in my country , we call it “guabina” good eating.
Cool
Bro throws the Mayan back. Best snook bait ever at a spillway.
At that point I was done fishing for snook. This video was filmed in bits and pieces, out of order from how it's edited, over the course of a day.
Is it possible to catch mullet with a bolt rig coming down to a size 10 hook?
Payton. I meet you at the HEB. Keep up the contents man. and i do watch all your video.
It was great to meet you, I appreciate the support 🙏
The marble goby, a close relative of the bigmouth sleeper, is considered to be very delicious in east and southeast asian countries, demanding a very high price relative to other fish species. In Indonesia, where I live, marble gobies are only usually sold in luxury restaurants.
That's interesting. It's amazing just how many fish there are and what cool significance they hold across the globe.
Nice 👍👍👍
Thanks
Cool stuff! I just made a top 10 fishing youtubers video and you made the list!
I remember seeing one of this when I was a kid. My dad caught when he went to fish here on el Rio Bravo. Forgot the name, but people here called it "Come Gallinas" Chicken eater!
look's like a mixed fish of a Bass and Catfish I know it's not but that's what it looks like to me

Thanks
Hey it’s my b-day yesterday :)
Happy birthday
@@wildlifefishingshow thanks
Imagine it was called bigmouth water 😂
How to catch mullet on rod+reel? I see a bunch of mullet in Clear Creek jumping
I'm not good at it, but watch the channel TA Fishing, he has several videos on how to do it.
What size cast net do u recommend bro thank?
I use 4-6 foot cast nets, but I fish in a lot of urban environments where small nets work best.
In Ca we calll that a sculpin, very dangerous fish if not handled carefully
Well I'm glad I got off scott free
What's the scaffolding in the water for? Just curious
They were doing repairs on the spillway
WHAT CAST NET DO YOU HAVE!
I can't remember
have you found out the species of the big mouth sleeper?
Yes, it's a big mouth sleeper...
Is this another trip to Florida, or content from the previous trip?
I went a few weeks ago and shot the last two videos I've uploaded there
In Florida we call that a rockfish
Cool cool
Massive Toadfish!
He was big!
Interesting place.. must be tidal if u got a mullet.....
It is, right on the Indian River
That fish looked like a walleye and a bass had babies and that was born.
Yeah, it does
It look like an armored catfish
Similar body shape
@@wildlifefishingshow Yeah it really does I think they are so cool looking
@@wildlifefishingshow Hey bro you ever come to Colorado let me know I will definitely take you to some spots that are absolutely amazing!!!!!!!
Who else stopped the video to google bigmouth sleeper??
Spawning season fishing is slow now
Makes sense. Glad it's not just me sucking at this, lol
@@wildlifefishingshow the fish are schooling and moving. the places you think is bad is really good they did a study on bass in Texas and they have seen bass move them stay in one spot not moving hardly at all then move long distance from area to spawn and then move miles away from the area typically twice a year they move and now being spawn time they are moving and eating less till after the spawning season. Now small baits are working better than the big baits. Less energy used to eat little things they are also aggressive with all other fish in spawning bed areas. Small fish baits like bluegill and such work if you piss them off they will strike it. But it takes time to work the fish to get it pissed off.
Do "plecos" have any natural enemies?
Doubt it, but I'm just a hillbilly.
You're correct, they don't have any natural predators here, at least not that can compare to their native predators (giant river otters and giant freshwater rays) in South America.
Have you every caught anything massive in your cast net?
Some big 10lb carp but no monsters
@wildlife3267 Ok cool,we don't have carp in Jamaica but I managed to catch a few decent snook,8 pounders, the bigger ones just destroy the net and escape
@@wildlifefishingshow love videos though
I wish you would give the locations of your videos. That way you have hundreds of fisherman running around in your footsteps.
Lol
Probably better to avoid that
Where you from? Goby on steroids lol
Why don’t you pick up some of the trash on the bank.
