Camel meat is reported to taste like coarse beef, but older camels can prove to be very tough, although camel meat becomes tenderer the more it is cooked. Approximately 3.3 million camels and camelids are slaughtered each year for meat worldwide. A camel carcass can provide a substantial amount of meat. The male dromedary carcass can weigh 300-400 kg (661-882 lb).The brisket, ribs and loin are among the preferred parts, and the hump is considered a delicacy. The hump contains "white and sickly fat", which can be used to make the khli (preserved meat) of mutton, beef, or camel.

I am beyond shocked at how clean everything was from beginning to end, I have never seen such a clean place. Wish all places were like this. Animals deserve to be in a clean environment, treated good, and they deserve to live a happy life before they get killed. Very happy to see this video and hopefully this is how it done regularly and not just for the video.

Yeah, I notice you edited out the part where the poor animals die in absolute agony and terror, because people don't want to see that. If you cannot watch an animal being put to death, struggling and screaming till his/her last breath, then you shouldn't be eating animals.

- 😂😂 this is islam. it is a huge sin to kill any animal in cruel way. the factory must be clean hygenic saying verses from the quran and slaughtering it painlessly and taking care of it and giving them love. Islam isnt credited enough. Theres a reason why pigs are haram they are killed brutally when they die they make a weird scream unlike halal animals.

- If you didnt know first of all this is the islamic/muslim way. everything must be hygenic clean friendly halal and you must treat them like pets.Muslims put a “sword” in their neck because Allah said to do it in the quran that way. Its the least painful way without having to put harmones/injections and ruin the meat just to eat camal.

- Do you know how farm animals are treated in our western countries?! This here is as good as it can be for the animals. Space to live, seeing sunlight, babies giving mums milk, all the way as good as it can be. Even the processing is quick and painless. Thousands of times better than our western farms.

- Yes, I agree. I have no problem with people eating animal tissues. But I do have a problem with slaughterers and hunters using the vocabulary of the farmer, to make it sound more appealing. If you kill animals for food, then just be honest about it, and use honest terminology.

I wish someday in my life I would have a chance to adopt camels. I love them they're so calm and humble, it's so sad people kill them for meat. People can be so cruel and don't care about sinning as long as they make money out of poor camels. But karma will make them pay back and they will get the same fate then they will realize that it's not worth the money.

My mum had made the very best camel hump soup, as well camel hump enchiladas. So rich and sweet the hump, cooked long and slow with carrots and onions, I always knew when mum had a pot of hump soup she used to call it. And we would only use the humps from camels responsibly raised as only the outer portion of the hump is used, leaving the rest to grow back. Renewable camel hump

- Any environment for meat farming is filthy, just imagine what if someone raised your child to be slaughtered and serve someone else as a delicacy which they would relish. Also, take a moment to think about the global warming which happens due to meat farming, I wonder you would have ever thought about this but please consider feelings of such innocent animals, God has given them life, allow them be loved, allow them to live and cherish their lives with their younger ones as we humans do

These pens look much more clean and sanitary than cattle pens. Cattle seem to constantly have crap streaming from their back end. Almost looks better to be raising camels in the more arid places of the united states.

- They would certainly be better for the drier areas of the USA. They are much hardier animals than cattle or pigs and seem to fare a little better when faced with a little unforeseen privation, like drought or a temporary feed shortage.

- I strongly felt the camel should have been electrically stunned or with a rod gun to the head first. I used to work in a abattoir and I operated the robot that electrically stunned sheep(making it unconscious) before the sheep dropped down to the slaughter board where a muslim man would cut its throat.This was a halal approved plant. I was satisfied the sheep were stressed as little as possible as far as could be achieved in a commercial operation.I don't see why the camels here can't go through same process.
