A basic walk through on how to delete your muffler on the E70 X5 35D for around $100.
Inlet pipe size: 3"

required tube: Two 90 degree 3" tube fittings (stainless) or a 3" twin 90 degree splitter, 12" of 3" stainless tube, Two 2-1/2"x 24" stainless tubes with or without flared 3" ends.

What is the best way to identify workplace control mesures and list the hazards ?
Did this on my E70 when i first bought it and the drone and vibration is absolutely horrible. The good thing about this is that obviously its a super cheap mod and gives you some sound if thats all you want. Keep in mind its not necessarily good sound. I drove with this muffler delete for 2 years (dont ask how or why lol) but finally installed a Vibrant 10632 muffler and now there is NO drone and sounds WAYYYY better!
Sorry, just saw this. I had some vibrations at first as well. I just had to adjust the hangers and it went away. You really won't get a lot of sound difference between mufflers till you scrap the DPF.
Its always hard to tell from videos, but was there a big difference in loudness? Sounds good and still sounds plenty tame after the muffler delete. I'm worried about it becoming to loud if I do mine.
It's a bit deeper in tone, but not much. You honestly wouldn't know it was gone after a while. The DPF and cat restrict most of the volume. This is mostly for a small amount of tone.
I already hit a big pothole and the dpf scr fell off...... so its already a little louder than stock but not by much. Maybe I'll just go ahead with the muffler delete and see how she sounds. I'd imagine I'll get a lot more whistle.

@@NOTSOSLIMJIM How is it on the highway? Is there a noticeable drone or any annoying/constant sounds?
Have you thought about hollowing out the cats? Starves the motor of flow, reduces hp, and creates heat. Sure the service engine light would be on but it can be fitted with a resistor to send faux information to the cpu and fixing the check engine light.
The only cathode on this is the Nox converter. I would have to get a full delete tune and remove my DPF as well. I'll go that route once my DPF goes bad.
Was the pipe going in the muffler 3 and 1/2 or 3 in?

Lol, they are stupid expensive. I'm about two and a half hours south in the killeen/Fort Hood area. You can take your X5 to any competent muffler shop and have them make you the exact same thing.
Not much difference in sound. Get the dpf out there’s going to be much difference, will increase power as well👌🏻
Gonna need a tune after doing that too..
How do you get dpf out ?? And where do you get a tune from ?

I'm working with a company testing an emissions contract tune, so no more deletes for now.
