Judgment reserved in the MK, ANC trademark court battle

The KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) High Court in Durban has reserved judgment in the ANC's urgent bid for interdictory relief which seeks to prohibit the use of the logo and the name uMkhonto we Sizwe (MK).
It argued, among other things, that the use may deceive and confuse voters into thinking the MK party is associated with the ANC. If the ANC is successful, the MK party will have to rebrand with a new name and logo. Canny Maphanga filed this report.
