Amazing how some people (of any race) put their race above all else. If you can defend Sereba's behavior blindly then you are a racist. She has a bad attitude, is very self-absorbed, which explains why despite being the greatest female athlete in American History, she is not well-liked the way Federer, Sampras, Ashe, etc are.

    • SuperGeronimo999 Do you know how tennis scoring works? I think you don't know. A couple of lost points doesn't affect the overall score. Osaka won by creating most points, and won fair and square.

      @katerinapatiniotis5598@katerinapatiniotis55985 жыл бұрын
    • Serena had points taken for coaching. Her own coach admitted on camera in a post game interview that he was coaching her. She denied it. He insisted to the media that he did coach her. I shook my head. Coaching is not allowed. So points were taken away. Naomi's speed and agility overcame Serena in this match. Naomi is a powerhouse young player. A 20 year old new star. Serena couldn't keep up with her. Real talk.

I could just imagine the cognitive dissonance those people experience but with good reason. It was sad to see how Serena behaved... Even her speech was not respectful an full of pride. All I could think of is that saying that goes "never meet your hero". Naomi is wonderful young lady. I hope she remains humble like a lamb. She gained some of Serena's fans just by being who she is, humble. A monumental teachable moment in history. The humble will be exalted and the proud abased.

He DIRECTLY admitted ON CAMERA that he was coaching Serena during the match. I shook my head. The umpire saw coaching and called it. It's plain to see on the video. Serena acted like she was supposed to win. Seriously. Serena lost because she couldn't keep up with Naomi's speed on the court. Naomi came out on that court and kicked ass and won the match fair and square.

She reminded me of a young Boris Becker, particularly in the last game where many would have crumbled trying to beat a great champion with all the tornado of discord swirling around the partisan stadium. And afterwards she is so sweet and humble, endearing many to her. Watching Serena was like viewing a compilation of McEnroe bloopers, only the chalk dust and serious were missing. She got well beaten, even after leading 3-1 in the second set she got turned over immediately. An unforgettable night which may yet be the end of a great champion and the first of many majors for a brilliant new star.
