I'm afraid the backorder wait time will be as long as the approval wait time use to be. Still a step in the right direction, supply will catch up eventually.

12/14/2023 and no word from the ATF regarding my SS trust and this is my third time through the process. Yet people who have submitted after me are getting approved. I would love for someone to give an honest answer for this.
We address this in the video, the newer submissions are going through the new process which is faster. Previously submitted applications are on the older system, but ATF cliams theyre working on the backlog.

Just approved on 4/11. Two suppressors in a trust. All paperwork was submitted on 12/6. Definitely getting quicker!

Started my process last weekend. On my end everythings been submitted through the KIOSK, stamp paid for and got my emails all on Friday and did the E signatures. Let the waiting begin.

Just picked up my first suppressor this past Thursday. I ordered it and put on layaway with the local ffl on March 8th so my actual “wait time” was a little over thirty days. But I believe that was due to my 1st time paperwork getting squared away and also the ffl had to order it to transfer to themselves. But my wait time from actual submitting was only 1 day!
Had 2 Form-4s and 2 Form-1s e-file in a trust approved in sub 72hrs. Two more Form-4s getting submitted this week now.

Make one; form 1 for half the cost... It's wild how everyone's thrilled, as if Big Daddy's expediting a task that should be mundane as grabbing milk and eggs.
This is a great example of false advertising, they are still saying 2- 3 weeks and nothing in stock so they just want to take our money and fill us up with expectations that are not true. These folks would be perfect politicians.

So, 5 days in on a order through silencer shop and still haven’t gotten forms to docusign or certify anything, purchased another suppressor from my normal ffl and did eforms there on the spot, mailed in my prints and hand my approval in 15 days and that was with snail mail no tracking of my prints.
Hard to believe…my e-form application for a suppressor took 11 3/4 MONTHS! Applied April 10, 2023 and Received the approval April 3, 2024 after I contacted the US Senators from my state to complain….and I had the Tax Stamp 3 days later! Why would my application take just short of a year? I have 3 other NFA stamps and none took this long!

I paid for mine Friday night "its a OSS Rad 45 for my vector and AP5" last week had it submitted by my ffl like Monday Tuesday signed my DocU sign's Wednesday afternoon and had it first thing today
My OCL Titanium .22LR just cleared today 4/15/24 and I submitted it 3/14/24. I still have a OCL Hydrogen K 6.5 in jail so they didn’t clear as a batch approval but still pretty quick!

I'm both happy that other people are getting cans fast, but also bummed that my multi-month wait is still going on. I already have a universal 36 cal can so the 30 cal i have processing isnt the biggest deal, but youd think after 4 suppressors (same info on every form as well) id be in the frequent flyer category.

Well, I fell for that too and it’s been 30 days and no approval and then I have one that is at nine months right now. Another one that is at 7 1/2 months and Silencerco still has not give me my free suppressor from last year’s Bogo said they had to send them back to check welds but no word been 9 months on that as well always used the silencer shop kiosk
Man we all got screwed on this one. I got one in jail since the 10rh of October. Bought another in Feb from SS and in got certified on March 20 and still no word on that one either 🙄🙄

It took over a month to get the Form 3 processed and for the suppressor to be shipped to my dealer. It was certified and the Form 4 application was sent on 04-12-24, so hopefully it gets approved within the next 3-4 months. (My last one took about 11 months, but that was about 10 years ago, and was way more involved in applying for it)

I filled out paperwork 4/9/24 in the LATE EVENING @local shop. Woke up 8am on 4/11/24 to find I already had approved Tax Stamp in my email. Took about 36hrs

The biggest hurdle to the system is lack of customer service, form 3s and the god awful 2 month waiting period to get silencers certified. You sit on hold for hours waiting for someone to answer ask your question and then they go I'm not sure and hangs up the phone. Its better to just sit with local gun shops anymore.
I waited over 13 months for my first silencer. I was psyched when I heard about the quick turnaround and placed an order for my MPX. I'm now a month in, and I'm starting to wish I didn't jump in. I dread waiting and have no access to what is going on in the background.
Feb 26 submission. Still no approval on a single shot trust. Seems like there are some not making it into this “fast approval” pipeline. (8th submission through Silencer shop so that’s not it).
Now the new wait is to certify. On day 34. Last 4 cans less then a week to certify.

I bought a suppressor in stock last week april 2nd , form.3 approved last monday and suppressor hasn't even shipped to ffl, ATF is faster than silencer shop getting my suppressoer to ffl??!!!!

I just got off the phone they took literally 6 hours to call me back only to find out my form 3 on all 3 cans was approved on the 30th of April and they still need another 7 to 10 days to ship to my FFL.....I have one word for silencer shop ...ok 3 ..." GO PACK SAND" !! fukkers ....get off your lazy asses and do some work ....like its hard to process an order and get it on the fukkin fed ex truck .....pathetic ass holes.
LOL yup they took 11 days to even send notification to certify after my form 3's were approved by atf in 2 days , still have yet to receive the cans at my SOT , tried for 3 days with my dealer to get the certification process done , which is through their system ...just NOW finished getting them certified for form 4 after 3 days of pure hell on their system .... spits out error messages non stop ... after they give you an hour ...nothing works.. The whole process was like pulling teeth.....I will never buy from them again ....fuq that !

Got certified on Saturday 4/13 and approved today 4/16.
I have questions for the people who are having fast approval times. Have you had a background check for a silencer previously? Have you passed a background check for a firearm recently? I reside in Colorado, so we all know how that's going. That's why I am a little hesitant because of the normal wait times and this law may go into affect July 1st 2024. This is very enticing because I have never had one and would really like to have one. Should I chance it?

Communication at SilencerShop and ATF is awful. Can't discuss form 4 issues with anyone. I went through the certification and withdraw process twice, due to my name missing in box 2 of the ATF copy of the Form 4. I've reached out to the ATF (Ask the experts) and SilencerShop twice for recommendations, but no response from anyone. I did call the ATF NFA phone number and the first time they said the status was, 'Problem'. I followed up a week later and was told 'Pending' so not sure what is going on.
yeah, but can your compliance dept stop telling me to buy a One Shot trust when I'm clearly registered as a Trust and my trust is uploaded? And will anybody return an email?
140 days and waiting. Two approved 140 and 131 days . Nothing on the 3rd. Silencer Shop single trusts. So much for first in first out. Never have an issue with background checks.

Thank you for answering the question as to why I'm not seeing the 'submitted/in-progress' form 4 in my eForms account. It's in my FFL's account. Do you know if and when it gets approved will the ATF notify both me and the FFL it was approved or only the FFL and it's up to them to notify me?

Hey I made a deal to purchase a wolverine from a dude, no dealer no FFL just simple individual to individual. We turned in the paper work, physical paper, not Eforms. Tracking shows the packet was picked up by ATF on 4/20/2024. How fast will this be?

Purchased my stamp and trust on April 3rd, still waiting for Silencer Shop to send me my "ready to certify" email 😬. Have to wait and see if the ATF ends up being faster.
I would message them. I made my order on the fourth at my LGS and had SS send me the DocuSign stuff that Saturday. I submitted on the afternoon of the 9th to the ATF. So I'm on day 4 technically.
I certified April 3rd and still waiting for approval.

Well I’ve had my form 3 approved since 4/3 and as of 4/11 was told it hasn’t even shipped to my LGS yet so I can submit the form 4. Yay

Any ideas why someone else would get a faster approval than you? I ask cause I went to go pick up my lower receiver from my FFL dealer today. And a guy was there picking up his very first suppressor. He said he was approved after 6 days while I’m going on 3 weeks now. I asked my FFL dealers and he has no idea why.

Bullshit I bought my can on the 19th of February. The fucker took a month to ship and certify which was March the freaking 20. Be aware of SS!!!!!! And I have a can in from October of 2023 and its still in jail, this will be my 8th NFA item and all of my prior items took 9 fucking months. Freedom Huh🤬

Bought 2 suppressors from Silencer Shop, all paperwork done, but Suppressor shop has not shipped them to my local dealer yet, so my local dealer can Certify and send the paperwork to the ATF, a day after i bought those two i bought another from my local FFL Dealer used the kiosks and that was certified 22 days ago, so whats going on SS? But wait! Couple weeks ago i bought my 4th suppressor from another local FFL dealer, waited a week for an appointment, filled out paperwork, did electronic fingerprints on their machine took a picture and all submitted to the ATF RIGHT THEN! Sorry wont ever buy another silencer from silencer shop, there is no reason to not ship my suppressors to my local FFL Dealer 3:43
After the ATF Form 3 is approved we can get the suppressor sent over to the dealer!
Had form 3 approved 04/03/24. 12 days later, only response after multiple emails is that suppressor is "in que" to be shipped. Have purchased from you guys since 2014. If you are overwhelmed with the volume, you would be better served adding to customer support and putting out videos explaining why you are the limiting step now, not NFA Branch. @@SilencerShop

Yeah it takes Silencer shop longer to certify the form 4 that it does the ATF to approve it
Longer to get the ATF Form 3 transfer approved and shipping time to your dealer, perhaps, but certification is running quickly!

Consensus on the internet is that Silencer Shop is dragging their feet certifying paperwork before submitting the form 4, which is dominating the wait times now. Do you have any comment?
We still have to go through the Form 3 approval and shipping time to the dealer, which on average takes 2-3 weeks. Definitely not dragging our feet, we still have to do all of the compliance work on the backend!

Every shop I've been to has told me that the quick return times are for individual file only. I've been to a lot of shops lately too..
Prior to March that seemed to be true, now the process updates were implemented for "standardized trusts" as well.
