Minecraft 1.21 should be the Minecart Update, and here are a dozen or so ideas on what could be added/changed to make minecarts useful again.

God, this would not only make minecarts so useful, and the chain idea would make roller coaster builds so fun Also, kind of a really stupid suggestion: a way to make a loopty-loop. I know it's not really practical and probably difficult to make, but on the other hand... Would be fuffiling a childhood wish of mine and would make banger promo art. Maybe it could be a rail made with slimeballs, that could also go straight up walls. idk that might be a little much but it's cool to speculate.
I remember seeing images for minecarts that worked similar to composters. In G-mod the Minecraft addon has these filled minecarts.
I there is so much fluff in Minecraft now. It seems like they are more willing to add new blocks than reuse old ones. 100% texture packs are so much more rare.
Could you imagine if Mojang saw this video and decided to brand their entire update based on this? It screams marketability! 😂 Seriously though, Brevort, the thought and effort you put into this, as well as the passion you clearly have for the topic, really shines through. I'm impressed and all in on the Minecart Update(tm)!

I think it is possible we see a minecart update (maybe part of a bigger update, but who knows); a lot of the recent updates since 1.13 have been improving/fixing/reworking old systems, like the Nether Update and Caves & Cliffs, and Minecarts are something that fit the game so well, so it'd be a shame to keep leaving them in the state they're in

Hoppers cant feed furnaces from top, you must place a hopper behind the furnace. Then it will feed coal, try to fill furnacecart from the sides and not from the top 12:52
In my testing, that didn't work either.
