Actually i believe Wagstaff's glitching out is because he basically forced his way into the Constant, he apparently had no interaction with Maxwell or Them in any way shape or form before making it here
But them again, if he had no previous interaction, how would he even know about the Constant?

He's a METAPHYSICAL PROJECTION of himself, so that's why he's glitching when hurt. He's not actually there in the constant

I like how even though it’s impossible to wear any variants of Wagstaff’s Spectoggles as a different character, (You can’t exactly swap characters or give them to someone else in solo Don’t Starve) if another character manages to equip them, *the world will appear BLURRY.* The attention to detail that Klei puts into their games is insane.
You can actually. If you complete adventure mode the character you're playing gets put on the throne and swapped out for whoever was sitting on the throne before hand. The character sitting on the throne is saved over multiple saves so this lets you swap characters out with any save you want.
I really do wish he was in DST, mainly because of the Interesting Interactions between him and winona.

Lorewise, turns out “They” don’t want Wagstaff inthe Constant, which may be why he looks like he’s glitching out when low onhealth.
I wonder why they dont want him there *considering the fact that he built the portal himself and most likely remembers how to build his, and everyone trapped within the constant, way out*

Something I noticed while playing as Wagstaff, is that sometimes, when you are being attacked by darkness, he says something along the lines of “Magnificent, I have been searching for you” or something like that, I can’t remember go into the darkness a few times to experiment
Don’t forget what he says when examining the Infroggles: *“I do hope to catch a glimpse of the night creature with these.”*

if in solo you put him on the throne to unlock maxwell, if you go back youll see that he has disapeared. proving that he is a projection.

Yes! There are some important ones like: Armor stacks in ds not in dst. Fire spread is instant in ds not in dst.

If you stand on a telipad with another in range when using the telibrella you'll hop to the nearest other pad. Very useful for quickly hopping between the islands in hamlet.
the true wagstaff may just be controlling his projection like we (The player) controls the survivor to keep it safe. And the true Wagstaff talks trough the character. That's pretty far stretched but that's the way i love Don't Starve its so much about discoveries that come with their own questions that are far stretched. The discovery is that Wagstaff gets Distorted by damage so it depends on the player's skill to see that. the mystery is "How even is this Wagstaff controlling himself if he's just a projection?"
And why would a projection need to eat or worry about sanity?
@@katherinestirling2440 why do shadow hands exist in the game, it's game logic to start of with, plus it might be, the fact that since you can kill shadows, perhaps you can do damage in a similar way
@@dylanpyle6500 shadow hands only come around when you are close to insanity and the shadows only try to kill you if you are insane or if spawned from an actual entity. And do note that they are also in a world made from a book.. about shadow magic. Not projector magic I can also say that shadows and projections are 2 completely different things and destroy that arguement instantly And if he was a projection then how come he doesnt disappear when under a roof? I would assume that the projector has to be in the sky like a satellite almost, otherwise a projection would be impossible. So there must be a projector somewhere.. right? I doubt it Still dont know how to explain wagstaff looking like some old cartoon when close to death. Maybe that happens to old people in this game world?
@@dylanpyle6500 i also found it odd how you tried using "game logic" to explain shadow hands in game but then use the arguement that since you can *kill shadows* you would also be able to kill a projection like thats not also game logic as well
@@katherinestirling2440 I thought you might understand, but clearly, I was wrong, so let's try to fix that my point is shadowed aren't really killed but are like projections of them, but they can be killed, well there projection but not the shadow indefinability themself, so would seem with Wagstaff since Wagstaff is seen as a projection himself, so perhaps they have the same problem.
So he's like Maxwell and Wilson combined only he wants to be here
Wagstaff seems really op to me like he has really good stats, he can make really useful things, and his down sides are easily avoidable

Welp. I was off. By a lot. I suspected chef but I got mad scientist instead. Wagstaff is personally a bizzare character. They have some great items that they can craft, but I honestly feel like they are more of a forager. I much prefer the AOE of Abigail with wendy or just the absurdity that is Wickerbottom and knowledge. A fun character, honestly would be interesting to see in DST, but that could be broken fast.
I think it really would be interesting, how Wagstaff would interact with codex umbra

@@dylanpyle6500 I wonder if they would even try since Wagstaff has mentioned wanting to speak with Maxwell about the constant. I feel like if the two ever met, there would be a lot of DS lore that could be potentially exposed too soon and too fast to the point it would be better to never have him as a multiplayer character in DST.
Might be just me but this dude seems incredibly powerful especially for experienced players that know the kiting patterns and how to get along through the map
You forgot to mention that you can teleport between two telipads if you're standing on one and use the telebrella. You can know when your standing on it if the light on the telipad lights up. This can be really useful in shipwrecked.

I'm not sure as the trailer for Hamlet did include Wagstaff.
For sheer irony, I'd have made rain detrimental to telebrella; If used while raining, instead of to the pad, you'd end up literally anywhere within a certain radius of the teleport attempt.

So he was really never in the constant? Just his projection device that put him there temp was over used. That's why he needs help later to fix it. Maybe just like maxwell he was picked. So maxwell was picked by the dark and wagstaff was picked by the light. Going off wagstaff is a future Wilson. It makes sense.
No joke, Wagstaff's terrible vision isn't that far off from my own. I think I have a little more range though, like I can see just a little bit farther before everything gets blurry.

A Don't Starve Guide NOT specific to Together? Thank the beard it actually happened. I've looked at many of these guides and have found them rather bad because I've focused a lot more on Don't Starve Solo and many guides have mechanics specific to Together. I mean, I'm going to be surviving alone without friends anyways, I might as well play the game that is only for solo surviving. One day I hope us Solo players get some more of these guides.
