Great overview! Definitely a lot to think about in terms of the future of coding. Too many people use the buzz word AI without really knowing what it means
"... AWS VP of technology, btw, looks like a duchebag" 😅 you nailed it.
He is
I’ve had majority of my holdings in tech stocks and irrespective of market changes, I’ve done pretty well especially with apple’s P/E(price to earnings ratio) gaining over 30% this past decade, now my questions is what stocks do you think will be the next apple in terms of growth for the next decade.
It might be difficult finding the next apple within the tech stock sector, apple has performed way better than the others, maybe look outside of tech stocks.
That's fascinating. How can I contact your Asset-coach as my portfolio is dwindling?
Thank you for this tip. It was easy to find your coach. Did my due diligence on her before scheduling a phone call with her. She seems proficient considering her resume.
We should replace our CEOs with AI.
I am now the CEO of everyone, you can not work without me.
communism says the people can fire you, therefore, YOU'RE FIRED!!!@@urimtefiki226
they did that in south korea last year
Lol but everything is AI in 2024 😂 they are AI
yea then the whole economy collapse.
Over the last decade, my tech stocks showed robust performance with a P/E gain exceeding 30%. Looking forward, what stocks do you foresee as the next Apple in terms of growth for the coming decade?
Identifying the next Apple within the tech sector can be challenging, given Apple's exceptional performance. Consider diversifying beyond tech stocks.
With their recent patent issue on their watches what could the future hold for the stock? The production halt might impact share prices, given the Apple Watch's significance.
Intriguing. How severe is this issue, and do you anticipate it affecting Apple's overall performance in the coming months?
Monica passed on information about the patent issue and is already taking actions to mitigate potential drops in share prices.
As I have always done, with evolving market dynamics necessitate a reevaluation of strategies. Engaging a wealth planner is essential for navigating the next decade successfully, leading to over $450,000 in profit over the last two years with less than a 100k when I started.
Just remember: The higher the abstraction level, the more impossible the system is to fix. Good luck programming using "natural language" and debugging sys crashes. AI domination has begun.
History repeats itself.
Apple script was something like this and it was a mess, hard even for programmers to use it
There's an AI for that, JK lol
Exactly. Tried hiring a plumber, a car mechanic or repair a roof for "cheap"? I question if this "new" abstraction empowers normies or imperceptibly takes more control away.
for a lot of detailed documentations on such systems, and already very good coding models, idk if a model that is fine tuned on system specific errors and their possible solutions, give the context are very far away, there are already companies working on B2B models with pretty great models out there. I do not think human interventention might go away soon but the volume of folks working on stuff is for sure gonna get slashed.
That was the selling point of Visual Basic 1.0 back in the 90's for Windows development.. just drag and drop controls and place on your screen... no/low coding.
You still had to do some coding if I recall.
Same with. "Visual C++", had all kinds of code generators... long gone now...
@@fisterhr yeah, but that bit was pure fun
The hard part of coding has never been the dragging and dropping, it's always in the fine details. I believe the same will be the case here. AI, made a thing, great. Now you need a "real developer" to isolate the real issues and fix them.
@@markoates9057precisely.
Man you do this really well. You bring a overall and intelligent perspective. Keep making things like this, you are good at it, I enjoyed
Thank you for the post, TechLead. Happy New Year to you and your family.
I think people underestimate how smart you actually are techlead! definitely up there
I laugh whenever AI experts say they won't displace jobs, just aid you in your existing job. They're totally gonna take your job. 😂
Exactly I know how to make some AI and definitely that's the idea, at the bottom is the WEF biding and this imbeciles keep pushing it, that's why I went back to trades for the moment.
Logically why would you spend a crazy amount of money to replace someone’s output as opposed to spending half the amount of money to increase someone’s output. Now you get more from the person you are paying Pennies which means more profit and now you didn’t spend as much on AI as you would to fully replace them (meaning more profit from maintaining less complex systems). You have to understand overhead costs and how businesses/rich people do not want to spend money….unless it makes way more money…
It's funny until their job gets threatened, and then it's a problem.
But at least not eat your lunch…
Give it 4 more years at the current pace, the progress rate is freaking crazy.
I’m really excited to see these “middle-men” to AR-everything! More exciting -still- is seeing TechLead enjoy himself 🎉
Enjoyed this type of content from you TechLead, thanks for sharing the highlights from your end.
THB from all the CES coverage I've seen this is actually the best one 🙌
Thanks for sharing! Very interesting. I like the sustainable products you showed at the end and the thing that sucks moisture out of the air for drinkable water. Thanks again!
+1 for the accurate assessment of the AWS exec
Best take I've seen from the show so far, appreciate your underlying humor, kinda glad I'm not there this year 😮
One of the best CES reviews I've seen. Thank you!
Thank you for killing some competition for us once again❤
It didn't work here 😎
I am one of the people who profit most from the coding AIs. I am a computational Biophysicist facing a high diversity of coding tasks in scientific context. So far, AIs (the paid OpenAI AIs) really suck at inventing algorithms or writing longer coherent code. But they shine at knowing some stand-alone one-liners and technical details that mediocre programmers like me might not know. In this way, people who cannot code themselves right now have an infinitesimal chance of ever producing a code that does what they want by only „talking to the AI“ (as one of the presenters depicted the future of coding). However, already now, I feel AI brings me closer to the level of real programmers. E.g. I quite effortlessly did some CUDA parallelizing that would have taken weeks to get into without AI help.
And the big point here is that these are generalized models. If we get models exclusively trained and designed to code the potential is much higher.
@@mc9723 Good point. Do you know if these „Tech Advisor“ and „Data Analysis“ AIs from OpenAI more specifically trained towards coding? I feel they are a bit better then the standard ChatGPT.
Nobody asked
@@More_Row boooo
GPT4 isn't actually generalized it's a combination of specialists.@@mc9723
I really love your healthy dose of skepticism. Thank you for keeping it real
The subtle humour. I invited myself 😀. Great fan of your narrative skills
GDI i s the most accurate indicator in the market force , that's why i still finding it difficult to evaluate the best investment options in 2024 with a reserve of $100k to throw in, and currently the market is overpriced.
owing to that i must say he has always been accurate with his analysis with recession and market force GDP as well is a good measure , that's why i'm holding telsa stocks and few AIs , i'm not taking this market positions without a professional guard.
That's fascinating. How can I contact your Asset-coach as my portfolio is dwindling?
I just googled her and I'm really impressed with her credentials; I reached out to her since I need all the assistance I can get. I just scheduled a caII.
very good video, liked your picks and your take on very real dystopian worries. gj !
Thank you for keeping us updated
by the looks of this video it seems coding is dead in the sense of making apps/websites etc. but machines that utilize technology to accomplish new things or reinventing old ways to do new things seems to be the name of the game. This is the era of the industrial revolution (part 2).
U mean embedded software development?
Yes but coders know how things work. they will be able utilize ai better than a regular person. So every coder is 100x better now using ai.
People been saying that "coding of apps and websites" is dead for >20 years now (yes, I'm *that* old). And while a lot of stuff got way simpler (e.g. now you can build a very capable and great-looking Wordpress website without writing a single line of code) both of these are very much alive and going through higher sums of money than ever. Simply, a lot of tiny companies that were doing garbage work went bankrupt, but everyone remotely competent still swim in cash.
Coding is most definitely not dead, coding being in a simpler language does not mean it is that much easier since coding is mostly problem solving anyways, most of the time spent building projects is not just typing away.
Great vid man thanks...good pick of highlights from the show 👍
Anyone interested in programming should not be discouraged by this video.
But those not really interested and just do it for the chance for an income definately should.
don't think about that guys, programming still give you a lot of money, just learn to work with AI. If we think like that every work will be replaced @@r4nowo
This guy's personality is legit 👌💯 love his perspective and video making skills
Thanks for sharing! I wish someday I’ll be able to attend such events!
I doubt it, it may play a role in coding, but it's overhyped like blockchain and crypto to please investors.
This
I don't doubt it. 6 months ago it couldn't do full stack web apps, now it can(gpt-pilot). It also didn't have long term memory, now it does(memgpt). It's not as good as an experienced developr yet but it will be in 6 months. This isn't hype. I use this stuff every day. Just have a back up plan for when the jobs disappear.
Loved your coverage. A few of my coworkers are there presenting for Eseye.
Nice highlights! The amount of gimmicks is insane, yet I can't get a good lease deal on a basic cr-v.
very cool stuffs. thanks for sharing.
This video brilliantly captures the pulse of the tech world, showcasing the top trends that are shaping our future.
or you could just read rockeffelers scenarios for the future report released in 2011 and you would know. ;-)
bullshit, i develop stochastic risk models for reinsurers. no way the requiremnts of my customer could be understood by any language model , they can barely articualte them and i must take a deep dive in the business functionality..
I use AIs (paid ones from OpenAI) a lot to assist me with coding. AI taught me a lot of useful tricks but it is yet entirely unable to write longer scripts itself. It can only help with stand-alone technical details and single standard lines of code. There it is really useful.
Your coverage of CES2024 is the best in KZhead!
thx for doing this great summary!
That LG concept vehicle looks pretty sweet.
Generative AI is flatlining in how useful it can be after recent rapid progress.
Says who? It's still incredibly useful

@TechLead I just discovered your channel before end of 2023 and want to comment you on your cutting wit and dry realistic clarity. We will reach a Golden Age one day and only because we faced the truth.
hey, did someone mentioned AI at this event?
Good Coverage for CES for those who didnt attend !! Mircrosoft really going after all of these areas at once, they have been dominating Operating system level, Cloud level, AI level and now partnership level.
Yeah azure oh wait no.
@@dontbothertoreply9755 azure has been doing amazing well regardless of your feelings 😂
Also Microsoft is not dominating AI... extremely untrue.
Dominating cloud? Nah, but their cloud business has seen decent growth.
Coding is not dead as long as i stay coding.
I was so serious in your video until last, I laughed so hard 😅.
I'm just happy to be alive in this era at a young age. All these technological advancements are just astonishing, and I expect more to come in my lifetime. Great vid TechLead!
The splendor of youth. 50 years from now, the simplest acts will STILL have value (i.e. taking a walk in nature, sitting in a rocking chair in solitude, reading a book). No technological advancements needed.
@@greganderson6849I don't agree with you reality itself for humans is going to change
Good for you... idk im 23 and id give anything to have been born in the west in the 70s-90s. Ai and all the other bs of the 2020s killed almost all hope for anyhting in my life
@@pastorofmuppets9346 understandable, but, think about it. we are probably gonna see AGI and even singularity. and that is something some of the great minds of humanity have dreamed of, yet never get to see one just because they were born too early. I would rather say these generations are privileged.
Very informative and cool video, many thanks!!
Very interesting. Most of these are commerically B2C than I thought. I thought it would mostly be B2B
Hi, what keyboard are you using?
I look forward to the day when AI does all the coding and I can say to it: "Make me a new operating system". And it will ask: "Should it be like Windows or like Linux?". And we will both laugh out loud.
I like the fact that you keep your skill-set current. That's important in order to stay employable.
Everything is like really cool and impressive but at the same time my life would not really substantialy improve with any of these things.
If they can't improve your life in any way then why is it cool and impressive to you. Just curious. In my eyes it's only impressive in the negative consequences.
Agreed. We've pretty much hit an innovation disconnect between elites and everyone else. Where's my AI toilet cleaner? Stepford wife?
"We are now a remote first company. we are never going back to the office..." Said every company ever 3-4 years ago
All this competition is reallyyyy good to see. Many ppl dont understand we NEED competition in all fields, because its always beneficial to the consumer. Having one giant in a field is never a good thing as thats how monopolies form, price gouging, lack of quality, overall anti-consumer practices.
Happy New Year Patrick. Hope you had a good one.
Hey, I was wanting to ask for help selecting a certification route for IT journey/Career path? Starting from point zero, little to no background.
Is it still worth learning coding ? And if so, which language would you recommend. Practising Python, Powershell for automatizing stuff as part of my job.
many of the cars look just like concept cars from 2010... we talk about the pace of change but sometimes it feels that real progress is very slow
As someone joining Zoox in the summer, trust me, from the time i've had with them; I can tell you it is sooooo amazing and I bursted out laughing hearing your thoughts haha. Great video!!
I asked ChatGPT for the correct expression of what you did to CES. It suggested: "Unmask the truth" "Burst the bubble" "Pull back the curtain" "Shed light on" The last two proposals by the AI encapsulate what you did in the best way: "Puncture the hype" "Debunk the myth" They all had to say, We are on top of AI, AI is front and center of what we do. In fact they are rather running to get on the boat before it has left the harbour. I will look you up more frequently. I like your minimalist approach and the low pitch tone.
The front and back wheel spinning is already present in cyber truck.

The toilet was the best. 😂
It's nice to see where the tech is going.
That toilet was nice! It is where most of us spend the most of our day.

Ok so I’m currently building a saas company how should I build now until coding can be used with just using simple English?
It can not, maybe a senior engineer can build it faster and juniors will not be needed. But you still need to understand what is possible with programming and what these ai models can do. You still need someone that actually know what is going on
What consumers really need is the convenience of mobility devices adapt well to being placed into a smaller size space. The future is looking more like people staying smaller as they might have move more frequently with income scarcity challenges. All this advance job killing tech it makes more sense to not have large items these days. Minimum and mobility is the way to go not to get stuck in place.

There have been robots that can do stuff like barista for a very long time (20+ years) That’s not like some new cutting edge development. The reason why we don’t see those robots in actual Starbucks or fast food is because it’s far cheaper to just buy cheap human labor than to pay technicians to constantly fix and maintain complex robotics. There’s also the need for a high trust society. You can’t put a robot in a place like nyc.
"High trust society" is an interesting euphemism!
