  • Glad someone is talking about Yankees killing grass, they did it to every lake here in NC.

  • I have no idea why this isnt more popular than it is?! This is grade A filming and editing at its finest. You truly capture the best parts of duck hunting. Thank you so much for doing this!

  • Filming and editing was spot on per usual. I learned so much about whistling ducks this episode which is so cool. I see them when I fly fish all the time and didn't know much about them. Gonna have to keep a gun on the boat next to the push pole now!

  • As a Florida native I love how this shows our culture. Unfortunately ducks are the one thing I never hunted until I moved to Oregon.

  • Blackbellys are my favorite duck to eat besides woodies. If y’all started seeing more black bellies from when y’all were younger the biologists are doing something good or the habitat just fit them better than what it used to. Too bad we can only get one a day in Texas.

    • They’re coming all the way to North Carolina and even West Virginia now. They’re parasitizing our wood ducks, they lay two dozen eggs on top of the wood duck eggs which prevents the wood duck eggs from hatching and causes the wood duck to raise a bunch of baby whistlers. Meanwhile the whistlers are free to just keep laying eggs in more boxes 😐

  • Do all of the outfitters offer hunts to the public? Can you post their websites?

    @albertgremmel3899@albertgremmel3899 Жыл бұрын
    • Hey Albert, We don’t put specific “links/contact info” to guides we went with in any of our films or our website. We feel this wouldn’t be fair to other guides in these states. We just try to highlight the state and the birds the best we can as we are there We do post their names in the films of the ones we go with when we do. I’m sure there are some people on this comment section that can help you get the info you are asking for. Thanks for watching Sir!

  • Just so you know water with green duck weed growing Makes the perfect environment for bacteria that could really hurt your dog. Be careful know from experience.

  • Black-bellied whistling ducks are native to Florida. Probably should've fact-checked the armchair biologists before releasing this episode...

    @colebleke5146@colebleke5146 Жыл бұрын
    • Hey Cole, as you can tell from all of our films. We try and follow around locals and gain a better understanding of what it is they like to hunt, how they hunt in their state and tell their story. Nothing we do is ever scripted or doing “retakes”. We try and catch peoples stories as they tell them in real time. We as H41 team are learning a ton about waterfowl and local culture as we do these films. We feel others are learning as well. We don’t mean to or never want to misrepresent any part of the waterfowl community in a bad light. We like sharing local stories and perspective as they are told unfiltered. If you have data, books, scientific articles/data or anything to give insight about Black Belly’s I am sure we all would love to learn more about them. We have no problem with you sharing that in the comments on this thread and please do! Thanks for watching and good luck this season.

    • @@HUNT41 sure thing. What you described is why I like this series. I mention this because presenting misinformation like this doesn't do the species any good. While Florida has many invasive species that have set up shop, the black-bellied whistling-duck is not one of those. Looking on FWC's website will confirm their place as a native species that have increased their range over the last several decades and take well to urban development (think white-tails of the waterfowl world).
