    • "Oh its okay, I was a hostess once". UGH. I can't stand people like this. I've worked in all types of customer service industries and literally the only reason i ever hated my job was because of people like this, and no sadly they aren't a rare species of assholes. For the exact reason that I used to work in this type of industry I always try to be understanding. Work could be busy asf and their bosses suck piling a shit load of work on them for the FACT that they are a good worker, shitty coworkers and customers, plus personal life issues, shit adds up and people dont understand that. Just because these people are working doesnt make them a machine for you to abuse, always put yourself in their shoes first, now if they are a shitty asshole worker/person themselves then by all means go off on them at your own damn risk, dont go crying to a manager because someone defends themselves from your abuse.

    • I’m not seeing eye-to-eye with you on Get Out. The portrayal of white individuals as some sort of unworldly machines, hellbent on enslaving black individuals is just fine and dandy because racism towards white individuals doesn’t exist? Let’s reverse the races in Get Out for just a moment. Undoubtably, that movie then causes rioting and looting by minorities in every major city across the US. Sure, the movie was entertaining. But to praise that movie in any way is hypocrisy to the absolute max. I enjoyed it for its entertainment value. However, no reasonable individual can praise Peele for his directing skills in Get Out due to his failed attempt at sociopoliticizing race in a horror setting.

      @smoosh817@smoosh8176 жыл бұрын
    • Hollowman If you think Get Out was at all about saying that all white people are racist monsters you missed the point. The white people in the movie that we see do terrible things are all connected and are more or less family friends. Which is why the primary setting of the film is in he house of the family that organizes their auctions. The film is much more a statement on institutionalized racism, and well intentioned racism. The white people in the film don’t hate black people, it’s the opposite, which is why they choose them. I’m pretty sure there is a line in the film that says exactly that. Black people in our society are still often perceived as and portrayed as strong, fast, and cool. These are harmful stereotypes even if they are often considered positive attributes, that’s one of the main points of the film and if you missed that I think you probably need to see it again.

    • Opinion on ability is not misogyny because they never claimed to attribute such an opinion towards all women in general. Just a specific profession with a tongue in cheek approach. And it was probably sardonic to begin with anyhow. However, calling someone misogynistic based upon preconceptions perceived from one statement of a person that doesn't even reflect a whole dynamic of a plethora of dynamics of the human personality is a sign of chronic adversarialism based on anonymity. To just apply labels liberally based on such a mundane opinion shows you immediately look for the most negative qualities of someone online because you absolutely they absolutely HAVE to be for or against something to reflect on your moral and ethical sense of reasoning. Stop with the social Witch Hunt mentality people, everyone can safely judge what their comment was to themselves and go about their day without bringing it to light as if you are going to change minds or social directions on this type of platform. There is a difference between raising awareness and knee jerk reactions to vilify anyone who doesn't mold to your own self-righteous attitude because you are not defending anyone here that has been a victim to that statement. You are merely attacking the statement its self to literally only display conviction so you can try to obtain the instant gratification of having some high ground above someone and the feeling of satisfaction it gives you in misguided attempt for social justice. It's honestly extraordinarily selfish because you are doing it to stimulate your ego and not defend anything in particular, and that is the most pedantic thing most people have ever encountered. Thanks for for reading.

    • Sadly guys a high percentage of modern women act this entitled. Modern feminism has ruined society and cause major divide between the sexes. Its hard to date a woman and actually trust them anymore. It really is. Have chosen to remains single for quite some time now. Its just so much easier and saves hella money.

  • The jacket is symbolism for his love for her. The waiter is his conscious. He sees the way she treats the waiter (his conscious) but doesn't care because he fell for her. He finally decides to speak his mind but it only scares her away. He battles with himself (the waiter) knowing she will never accept the jacket (his love) but follows her out anyway knowing deep inside she will only reject it. He follows her wherever she goes to give her the jacket but in the end, the chase for her acceptance leaves him heartbroken and dead without ever being able to see her "put the jacket on".
