He started off really good, and then things got tough. Zlatan's talent og abilities were not the reason for it. As a striker he's good enough to walk into any team. Perhaps at the age of 35 it's slightly different, but back then he was even faster than he is now. He was world class. He has been for a very long time and when hearing about it itæs obvious that he had a dispute with Guardiola. We all know the Barcelona-time didn't turn otu to be what everybody thought it would be, but his abilities in football were not the reason for it.

Thing is, it wasn't even the best he's scored. The goal against Atletic Bilbao in the Copa Del Rey final was incredible. The goal he scored against Getafe when he was like 17 was out of this world. Messi was incredible in this game, so fucking quick on his feet. I've read Ibras book and he says that he had a difficult time at barcelona. His relationship to Pep was very bad, especially towards the end and alltough he was scoring goals, Guardiola converted him to a kind of false 9 or number 10 with messi playing in front of him at striker. Thats why he said 'you don't buy a ferrari if you wanna drive it like a fiat'. Ibra and messi in one team at that time was just not meant to work out. Messi was just unbelievable and the whole barca team played for him.

Really showed with that penalty how frustrating its been to that point in the game and felt embarrassed that it took a penalty to finally find the inside net. Smashed it in! Like that game for PSG where he had an equally frustrating game and got a freekick just outside the penalty box and kicked it with every muscle fiber in his horse of a leg in the top right corner. If it would have been blocked, then that person would have ended up in the hospital for a day xD It was either the ball or a player in the goal.

Sometimes you need a bit of time, especially if you've lost a final for the third time in a row (in the World Cup and Copa 2015 final he stayed with his teammates). Your comparision is incorrect anyway. You can't compare a lost final to the attitude you have to your teammates during games. Messi might have had 3 moments or so where he got frustrated at his teammates. He didn't even get frustrated when his teammates made bad decisions in the World Cup and Copa matches (including finals). For example in the last Copa final, Messi dribbled between 9 players and passed to Aguero. He continued his run for a one-two and he also created space for Mercado, who was completely unmarked. Aguero didn't pass back or pass to Mercado, he tried to score from distance and messed up a great chance. Messi didn't even scream at him etc. Ronaldo shows it more often, whether in Madrid or in Portugal.

Thats the biggest difference between Messi and Mbappe, when Messi was 22 he was making Ibra look bad at the game, people were comparing him whit Maradona. Mind you making 2-3 misses per game is completely normal even for pro players, but because Messi never fails to get a shot on target everyone else looks stupid when they don't. ibrahimovic was just unlucky to have to be playing with messi at his goalscoring peak years, if he played with the current messi and neymar, he would have more success. and he was so unlucky with winning the champions league, joining barca a year after they won the cl, and leaving before they won another. ***** He is scoring alot that's for sure but the season has not ended yet so none of us actually know how this season compares to his best season but his best calendar year tally was 91 or 92, which is almost double of his 51 goals in 2016. I think he has a great goal per game record this season, but he did miss quite a few games, which will probably show in his season's goal per game record. In terms of league goals, he isnt even close to his record, he is not even the top in the european golden boot award.

His relationship to Pep was very bad, especially towards the end and alltough he was scoring goals, Guardiola converted him to a kind of false 9 or number 10 with messi playing in front of him at striker. Really showed with that penalty how frustrating its been to that point in the game and felt embarrassed that it took a penalty to finally find the inside net. Smashed it in! Like that game for PSG where he had an equally frustrating game and got a freekick just outside the penalty box and kicked it with every muscle fiber in his horse of a leg in the top right corner. If it would have been blocked, then that person would have ended up in the hospital for a day xD It was either the ball or a player in the goal.

Your comparision is incorrect anyway. You can't compare a lost final to the attitude you have to your teammates during games. Messi might have had 3 moments or so where he got frustrated at his teammates. He didn't even get frustrated when his teammates made bad decisions in the World Cup and Copa matches (including finals). For example in the last Copa final, Messi dribbled between 9 players and passed to Aguero. He continued his run for a one-two and he also created space for Mercado, who was completely unmarked. Aguero didn't pass back or pass to Mercado, he tried to score from distance and messed up a great chance. Messi didn't even scream at him etc. Ronaldo shows it more often, whether in Madrid or in Portugal.
