You see ronaldo scores nice goals, but he would never be able to do that dribble. He would wait patently at the front and wait for INSERT PLAYER to give him a deep pass into the penalty area and if can't score he just dives no second thoughts. Maradona was garbage compared to Messi and I am a CR7 fan. Maradona isn’t even a top 5 ever player. Messi is first, CR7 second, R9 third, R10 fourth and Van Basten fifth. Pele and Maradona are so overrated it is unreal. One played on the same team in a weak league pounding down farmers most of his life in the Brazilian state championships, the other is a better dribbler than Kaká and not much more. Cruyff, Platini and Zidane were all better than those two overrated players. One revolutionized the game, the next was a far more complete player and Zidane was more versatile. I understand that Maradona put Argentina on his back to *win* a World Cup (he needed to cheat to get a goal) and Pele had superstars around him all the time on the Brazil squad in an era where smoking and drinking was commonplace and only managed 2 continental championships. CR7 has 5 UCL, Messi Has 4 and a ton of domestic titles. LM10 and CR7 are aliens. To compare Maradona and Pele to them is just disrespectful.

No, I have seen most of the Messi matches when he was 17-18. He was a special player. Even at that tiny age nobody I have ever seen had that kind of footballing brain and dribbling ability.
