Ever see this movie? It's hilarious. They have no music on their planet so when they hear it, it's this revelation. My favorite part is when, guitar guy is sent to kill him but he fails and he ties him up in a room. He's all tied up and he takes out his banjo. He's like "Oh my god what are you going to do with that?" But he just plays it. Dudes laughing, he's crying and before you know it, he finds a guitar and this scene happens. It's genius.

I was 12 when this came out and just watched it recently with my family. They filmed the space museum scenes where I grew up and went to college! I think these guys are very sweet and this film is actually a hidden really good snapshot of 2012 Brooklyn hipster scene imo. The romance plot with the sedating of the cop lady seems really uncomfortable and outdated nowadays. Thought I should mention it bc no one else seems to. I'm still a new fan otherwise 😊 made me want to learn banjo..

Well I grew up on my planet farmin space worms Where space worms can always be found But here on Earth as far as I can discern There just ain't no space worms around What can I do I'm a simple farmin man Light years away from my home It's mighty hard, to farm this planet's land Where space worms refuse to grow Well I grew up on my planet farmin space worms Where space worms can always be found But here on Earth as far as I can discern There just ain't no space worms around Well times are tough and money's pretty tight Had to sell my fourteen legged mule Without no space worms I can't put up a fight This planet, can be so cruel Well I grew up on my planet farmin space worms Where space worms can always be found But here on Earth as far as I can discern There just ain't no space worms around It's been a struggle, but I refuse to stop Farmin worms is what I was born to do If you can find me a real good space worm crop Honey, I'd be goo to you.
