  • Charlie, you are lucky to have a deer stand. I learned hiding behind a tree, leaning on it to shoot a deer. I’ve missed, cried and kept going. I know how you feel, but remember the times and being with your Dad. That’s the best time. I started deer hunting when I was 14, now I’m 71 and can’t. Memories are the best. Good Luck, relax, have fun. Debbie

  • Love seeing videos like this with kids hunting. I got to take my daughter for the first time this year and she absolutely loved it and loves to learn anything about it. Charli is very well disciplined and has the best guide in the world for a father. Congrats Billy and charli

  • Great job teaching the next generation . I remember my wife's first deer both my daughters and granddaughter first deer. It's more exciting to watch a new hunter take a deer than harvest one myself.

  • I was kinda sad for that kid, but I'm actually glad that she didn't get it. She learned way more by making a decision not to shoot when she isn't sure she can make a good shot. Great job both of you! This is maybe my favorite video of yours!

  • I'm 77 years old but I still remember when my father and grandfather showed me how to hunt but most importantly doing it to furnish our family with something to eat we were poor and had to rely on our wildlife to sustain us. I will say this 75 years ago it was hard to accept the hog killing that we did every year at Thanksgiving but I did learn where our food came from. People nowadays go to the store to buy what they need we provided for ourselves and several others

Have your granddad or mom get you some hearing protection. That’s one thing we need to protect. Can’t really get it back once it’s lost Jesus is King

  • Congratulations on the nice deer kiddo! I know that ringing ear feeling. Before I could even legally hunt I was deer hunting with my Dad and Uncle. I was sitting with my Uncle in a old steam shovel (left behind from strip mining) at the end of his field on the farm. Some doe came running by, he said "cover your ears" about 2 seconds before he pulled the trigger on one. Before I could even register what he said. So I didn't get a chance to cover my ears. The shot was so loud it actually hurt. They rang and I was dizzy for at least an hour after. I don't even remember if he got it. It ruined my day.

  • What awsome video. My grandsons started hunting last year (twins lol). My son painted his sons the same way with the deer bood when they both had harvested their very first deer. Dont know where my son learned that lol. As a fellow hunter i am so proud of your daughter Billy. To see her ethics and such caring for an animal she was going to harvest was absolutely beautiful and humbling. Great job Billy and Charlie. God bless you and family through this holiday season.
