Hunt For The Unknown, Alaska Caribou Hunting Adventure

2019 ж. 23 Мам.

Three hunters journey to the Arctic slope of Alaska’s Brooks Range Mountains in search of a challenge, a measure of danger, and an outcome unknown. The wolves, wolverines, moose, herds of caribou, and a marauding grizzly bear satisfied their primal urge to explore such a desolate wilderness and changed their lives forever.

  • I’m a 73yr old great gramma. I am proud to tell you that instead of watching movies at the end of my day, I watch your videos. You draw me in with your stories and your faith. I find myself captured by the hunts every step of the way, no matter what you are hunting. You have helped me understand what true hunting is, the reason for it. You’re not out there just to kill something. Thank you Billy. Thank you for being the man that you are.

  • I truly enjoy your videos. This one really got to me. 2016 was the last year I got to hunt with my dad. He still goes to camp with me but his vision is gone now. He did something that last trip I never thought I would see him do. For the first time in all of his years of hunting he passed on shooting a legal buck. I sat next to him as that deer walked out onto the old skid road and passed within 50 yards of him. I watched my dad raise the gun to his shoulder, push the safety off when the buck stopped directly in front of him and waited for the shot. My dad slowly put the gun down and told the deer to keep moving. A day I'll never forget.

  • I would have loved to have shared a hunt with my Dad. My Grandfather was a hunter and deep sea fisherman, but my Dad never made time for hobbies of his own. Having lived through the depression my Dad was always worried about it happening again so he worked several jobs and saved everything he could. He would take a week or two for vacation trips with my Mom, but never took the time away from for anything you would consider a hobby. He passed six years ago at 91 years old. This hunt with your Dad and his friend is truly special and I'm sure you count yourself a blessed man for having been given this gift. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

He taught me the art of hunting and tracking . Being an old Marine he prided himself on head shots and no wasted meat . I'm 70 now and all I have are my memories . I have felt closest to my God and Savior Jesus Christ while hunting . I'm happy for you that you got this valuable opportunity with your dad and friend while all alive . God bless Billy .

My father which brought us all to Ak.stayed many yrs after myself. I got married and moved back down to the lower 48. Just want to say I'll be 59 yrs old in less than two moths and I am alone now as my hole family has went on to meet up with god my loving wife of close to 30 yrs included.as her and my Dad passed in 2012. Both my younger brother aand my mom. All gone. So it's just me watching you now pilgrim. I very much enjoy all your video's keep them coming but remember one thing my friend there is only so much time we have marked for our family. Spend it with them as much as you can because its the only golden time we have on this earth. I hope I made since in this message to you. Your my new hero on earth. I love watching your hunts.. Lord be with you and yours Be safe and skin that griz. pilgim and get ya another one. Peace be yours. Sincerely Your friend Fabian. P. S. I also grow up milking cows and working with cattle.

I hope your kid gets to shoot a caribou with your grandpas gun. Or clean it up retire the old savage. I have a Winchester mod. 63,a 22 cal. That was my grandpas gun. One of the only guns I never sold or traded something else for. Was offered a thousand dollars for it a few times 20 or 25 yrs ago. I have no kids but I have to figure out who I'm leaving it to. The rest of my guns I will probably pass them out to younger family members within the next few years. You bring back some good memories of my hunting days. I'm going to call an old friend here in a minute to talk hunting and fishing stories with. Some of my best times and stories are from hunting and fishing and drinking beer. Thumbs up ,hats off and subbed Billy. Stay strong brother and thanks for the good memories. Peace

God Bless and stay safe.

  • Well Well Well. This one I could surely relate with like nobody else I know. Had a grand father who was a school teacher and a hunter (he left for the Happy Hunting Grounds much before I came into this world) and a father who taught me a lot about hunting and wildlife. Today I am happiest when I am with nature just looking at wildlife around my farm and where ever I go about. Hunting is no longer permitted in India but that's not a worry as taking photographs or just looking is exciting enough. So this one really was seen thru misty eyes as I lot my father 18 years back to cancer but he went down fighting and now awaits me in the Happy Hunting Grounds if there is such a place.

  • I love it when you remain aware of your hunter's position and where the end of his barrel in pointed, so that you can remind him not to point it in any direction other than the one in which he's going to shoot. I ALSO respect the way you gently reminded him to keep the end of the barrel pointed down range. I know he is your Father but I'm betting you would do it the same way for any hunter OTHER than your Dad.

  • This was the best episode, this is what life is all about! My Dad is my hunting partner and at the young age of 79 he was still hunting with me last year 2019. He said the he’s going to stay inside his family room this year and listen for my shot. Nah I’ll believe it when I see it. Thank you so much for sharing, I felt like I was there with you!
